Was bummed they didn't have hamachi kama when we last dined, was having a major craving for it. Tried some items new to us this time: Sesame seared tuna scoops, $16 - 10/10 Hamachi carpaccio, $17 - 10/10 Dragon roll, $19.50 - 6/10 Black Widow roll, $15 - 5/10 AC transit roll, $19.50 - 2/10 Yuzu Karaage, $14 - 3/10 Wakame (seaweed) salad, $7.50 - 8/10 Miso soup, $3 - 7/10 Usual favorites ordered again: Firefighter roll, $19.50 - 10/10 Grilled edamame, $7.50 - 7/10 3 Kinjas combo with spicy tuna roll and hamachi sashimi, $43 - 10/10 Typical total bill for 4 adults, no alcohol was $200 before tax and tip.

This place has good quality sushi and is a good option if you're a sushi lover and know how to customize your dishes. I had to add flavor to my roll because I like flavor that isn't dependent on spicy mayo. The beef dishes were disappointing with such little portions. They have grilled edamame which is rare and a tasty beef appetizer which is at some of the higher end sushi places, but again the portion was very small for the price.

The sushi was mediocre. Nothing special about it. Everything tasted the same. I really liked the hamachi kama. The service was good since we were the only people there, but it's worth a try

Our dinner at Kinja Sushi did not disappoint. The sushi was fresh and the rolls good. The tempura appetizer was also good. Our overall experience is good and will definitely go back again. Oh and the service was nothing to complain about.

The sushi was fresh and delicious. They have sushi rolls that are different and isn't just a dressed up California roll, and I liked that. Tried many other sushi spots and would definitely come back to this one!

I'd come back. I enjoyed all the sushi we ordered. Fish is fresh. Ingredients are fresh. Rice is not thick. It won't leave you wondering if you actually had sushi or just a ball of rice. Be careful of the spicy pepper. I requested it to be in the side and I'm glad I did because it's too spicy for me. All you spicy lovers will probably enjoy it but for an old lady like me, I can't handle spice anymore. I can't give a more thorough review since I've only been here once but I'd come back and try other sushi they offer. Oh, I remember our table and seats were wet from them "cleaning" it. I used quotes because I wonder how often do they change those rugs? they should wipe the tables and chairs with dry towel after.

Bravo Kinja Sushi!!! Central San also applauds Kinja Sushi for running their kitchens in ways that produce delicious food while also protecting the environment. I love supporting business that care!

Ramen nicely packaged with broth separated, so no soggy noodles. Highly appreciated that extra care.

Ordered ramen to go... Enjoyed the care in packaging. The pork was delicious! Broth was good. Would try other dishes here.

This is an excellent place to get sushi from. We ordered several dishes to go and all the fish was really fresh and nicely cut. I know this is going to sound silly, but the packaging of the food is really well done and thought out. For example, the Chirashi dish has the cold fish separated from the rice and unagi so that there won't he a mixture of temperatures. We also got a colt combo and sashimi. The portion size are well sized. Also saw they have a cold green tea soba noodle here, not everyplace has it so that is on to try next time I'm here.

My experience here was okay. Easy parking, decent place The waitress was ok, but quite cold. Coming in it was a cold stare and pointed at a table. I feel like I was just a bother to her when I asked her for anything. She's the reason I won't come back. Total hit or miss because she was very cordial and friendly to other customers who were probably regulars. The food was decent, and prices are the same as others. Would not be my go to but good if you're in the area, waiting around.

Great sushi and well priced! I've wanted to try Kinja for a while and was super pleased with the sushi we got! The sashimi samplers were great. Hamachi, salmon and tuna - 6 slices for $15! The rolls were delicious as well, the jalapeño Hamachi roll was my favorite of what we tried. It was fresh and spicy, which is hard to navigate. The help was great when I arrived for pickup. Can't wait to go back when we can sit inside!

Ok this is the best spot for sushi to dine in in Concord in my humble opinion. The ambiance is perfectly crafted by the owners for a sushi spot. It feels cozy and authentic. We've been coming to this place for years and each time had a wonderful experience. We always feel welcomed here. Ladies who work here are very nice, fun, and professional. We've been trying different items from the menu and each time we would agree that we order again. We've moved from SF to Concord and consider ourselves spoiled in terms of sushi. I'll tell you that quality of service and sushi is hard to find in the city.

Not sure of the name but was medium spicy

We'd always only gone for their lunch menu before, but we were really craving sushi and sashimi last night, so we thought Fuji would be the best place to go since we were starving!! We noticed that the dinner menu wasn't that much different from the lunch. Seems like only a handful of items are added, so we still made sure to try some of those dinner-only items. One was the Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab, and it was absolutely delicious! The whole thing was edible, so there was no need to de-shell the crab, and the tempura batter was nice and crispy. The crab also didn't taste fishy at all. I also liked that they served it with a tempura dipping sauce on the side because it helped refresh the dish and cut back on the greasiness a little bit. Another thing I was really super curious to try was the Smoked Salmon. I did order it, but I think the guy working at the sashimi section misheard me and ended up giving me regular salmon instead - boo! I wanted to go back and order more later, but by that point I was already really full, so I decided not to be greedy. Other than that, everything else was pretty much the same as the lunch offerings. In general, my brother and I really like this place. It's definitely our go-to spot when it comes to all you can eat sushi and sashimi. My brother and I love getting a huge plate of sashimi with a variety of fish like Salmon, Yellowtail, Mackerel, and even Unagi too. I also love how quick the service was, and they impose no limitation on how many times we can order or how many items we can get each round. We just feel really comfortable eating here. We'll definitely come back again in the near future!

I was handed my receipt to fill out. She watched as I filled in the respected lines. I did not leave a tip - as it was a up order, and service thus far was not to par. I waited for my order... 8 minutes later it was ready. Before leaving I checked the bag, order correct, but lacking my preference of soy sauce. I asked the host for more she came back with ONE packet, and tossed it in the bag I was holding. I said out loud "oh just one?" Then asked the sushi chef if they had little to go containers for soy sauce and if I could get one of those. He said yes and instructed the host to fill one for me. She did, came out and handed it to me with what I interpreted was an annoyed look. I said thank you and left. Fascinating to say the least. I guess I was asking for too much. Sushi was decent. Even on days when the bluefin is unavailable, there is no need to worry because the menu is filled with excellent options. I have yet to try a roll here that disappointed me. The garlic edamame is another standout appetizer, though fair warning: you'll be protected from vampires for at least a day afterward. It is packed with garlic and absolutely worth it.
