We love coming to this bookstore inside of the Mitsuwa japanese grocery store. It has so many cute items like smiski figures, sonny angels, anime merch and books, sanrio merch, pens, buttons, stickers, pusheen, wawa froggie clips, and more!! It is always nice to walk inside and come out with little goodies for yourself. Although the prices are more on the expensive side, it is nice to get a cute item every once in awhile! 10/10 would recommend if you are looking for a gift for someone or a pick-me-up for yourself!

    Much less grim than chemokuniya

Kame here for a game of Kino. THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE KINO. They're like, we can get it for you? I'm like, kin u, ya? They said they would. I don't believe them. False kadvertising. Pretty cool bookstore inside the amazing Mitsuwa complex up in Plano right off the highway. They have a little bit of everything in here from soft serve and food to bakeries and desserts and ice cream and bookstores = this one. And of course the big grocery store section. Barbie really loves this book store and spent a little bit too long in here considering we were in a hurry. And she bought something too! I think it's a Japanese dessert/cookbook. She hasn't used it much, but then she hasn't used me much lately either.

Large array of imported items. Including Magazines, books, stationary, manga/anime, and cute collectibles. Books/magazines/manga in Japanese and English. Great place to find gifts or browse for yourself. The plano location is inside Mitsuwa Marketplace. Also inside the marketplace is a food-court and bakery.

    Calendar Book

I went to buy a calendar book for my mother (it is an annual thing) and this year went to Plano. I shop at Mitsuwa market and walk in here everytime never paying attention to what it was. The bookstore in Hawaii closed so I looked for a Japanese bookstore close to me in Dallas. Lo and behold, I found Kinokuniya in Plano and mapper it and, to my surprise, it led me to Mitsuwa market. Felt like an idiot but went to see if they had the book. They did not but said they could order it. They asked me which one as there were 9 different types. I had no clue but said the Carrollton store had 2 last year so if they can show me what they had, I can tell them which one. She looked it up and showed me and I was able to tell her which one it was. They said they would email me when it came in so I left very happy. I made a trip to Hawaii and went back to Dallas and remembered that I had not heard from them so, on my next trip to the market, I stopped in. They told me they had emailed me a few weeks ago that it was in. I apologized for missing it and got the book. I was bewildered that I had missed the email and went back to check and I had not gotten anything so maybe they made a mistake on my email address. Not a big deal as I got the book before returning to Hawaii. The level of service is fantastic and they have books, Manga, knickknacks and everything else. I love the store!

Very cool little bookstore nestled inside the Mitsuwa Marketplace. Nice selection of Japanese fashion magazines. They have a variety of books in English and Japanese. Many cool Japanese collectible knickknacks. Great place to bring your kids for unique school supplies like pencils, erasers, and backpacks.

    $13 of pure impulse purchase.

Best stationary store in DFW! Love the Campus smooth paper and the pen selection. The other cute stuff is a bonus.

Very nice and interesting store. Love the anime section the most. A little pricey but I think it's worth it! Will be back!

Wow -- I absolutely loved visiting this bookstore! I'm from out of town and honestly, I wish we had…read morea Half Price Books where I live. As a huge book collector, this place felt like a treasure trove. There was truly something for everyone, and the prices were fantastic. One of my favorite finds was a beautiful collection of Mark Twain stories -- such a gem. I also picked up a few books for my daughter, and we had the best time browsing together. The kids section was so sweet and welcoming. She was getting into everything (as toddlers do!), but everyone was so kind and understanding. The rest of the store has a bit more of a library feel -- lots of readers quietly flipping through pages, sitting on benches and tucked-away desks -- which I think is wonderful. I was mindful of the more relaxed, peaceful atmosphere outside the kids area, but it was really heartwarming to be in a space where people clearly love books and value time spent with them. You can tell this place is run by people who genuinely care about reading and community. I just want to see this business thrive. We'll definitely try to stop by again before heading home. I absolutely loved it here.

Fellow K-Pop collectors please read! I brought in the albums…read morepictured - six had everything and the rest had everything except the photocard - and was offered $6. I asked about the albums they sell, which often don't have photocards, and they said those were "mistake offers" or donations. I wasn't going to post a review, but after getting home and opening one of the albums I noticed they damaged the photocard. It was wedged as far into the crease of the page as possible, causing the top left corner to be bent, so I actually lost money since a damaged card lowers the value of it and the album! So, PSA to anyone looking to sell K-Pop albums: they must have photocards or they won't take them! Also, please check how they place photocards and other inclusions in your albums before you leave in case they damage something! Finally, please dm me on Instagram @gp1117.trades if you'd like to buy any albums. Photocards are included in Frequency (damaged), No Labels, Play Hard, Face The Sun (Mingyu and Vernon) and Oddinary. They're around $2-$10 plus shipping, and I also have photocards for sale and trade :)
