I've passed this restaurant so many times and wanted to stop by, finally one day for lunch I did. I was greeted warmly and we were sat quickly. They had a buffet for lunch with many options! We ate quickly and were able to get back to work. I would definitely come back! I want to try items off the menu next time!

Absolutely a top contender in Indy for Italian food, in my opinion, #1 and not even close. Such a low key building/store front but for those who have tried, understand what a great local treasure resides behind a door that can't close on its own. Everything on the menu is great, but after 15 years of experience, I can only order the lasagna, even if it's twice a week. A great pizza buffet if you can catch it for lunch, don't hesitate to stop. Service has always been great and prices very reasonable. I plan on patronizing for another 15 years if possible! My picture does not do this meal justice but you will enjoy over a couple of days, generous portion, that you can see.

Went in because it was my husband's birthday and he loves pizza buffets. Someone had recommended this place on a foodie FB site so I was excited. Well, I think the post brought in a lot of people. They were overwhelmed and were in recovery mode when we got there. The Buffett wasn't packing a lot of options and they kept telling us they were refilling. The photos they posted are very different from mine. They brought out 2 new pizzas while we were there and refilled a few things. I would say it was average but I see potential and I would like to give it another try because I believe we will get a different experience. 11.95 for the Buffet and it included a drink. It also included garlic knots fresh to your table. We didn't get them because we thought they were an extra and waitress didn't let us know they were included but we heard another waitress tell her table. I think if we went back I would order something off the menu because we saw a calzone come out and it looked amazing.

Food was really good. Specifically the pasta. Came with salad (wasn't crazy about house Italian dressing), two garlic knots, and a large portion.

Nice atmosphere, wait staff was great. I'm not a huge fan of Italian food but the Italian Sub sandwich I had was great. House salad was delicious. Seemed very authentic home made Italian dressing was solid

What a fun and welcoming place to get a coffee and sit for a while. I ordered the raspberry dream latte and she ordered some caramel honey something iced coffee and they were both delicious! We sat down in the caboose and enjoyed the details and we just went to the back to get some pictures. I will say I can honestly appreciate that they have a reservation sign up for the back of the caboose which makes so much sense. Time and time again we have gone to coffee shops and too many people are just hogging up areas and or treating the coffee shops like it's their personal office area so i definitely appreciate that you must make a reservation to enjoy the experience of the caboose. Other coffee shops should get on board with this kind of idea...pun intended! (Wink wink) Our experience was definitely a great one and looking forward to a not so windy day to be able to enjoy the patio area outside. Great staff, great drinks! Definitely a must visit!

I was looking forward to it, as this has been on my list of places to go, and we haven't been here before. There were supposed to be 10 of us be we ended up being 8 this night. We had reservations, and had the lovely little private room in the back. (The whole restaurant seems just to seat about 20 or so.) Decor is fun & a nod to all things Britsh. We had 7 scotch eggs for the table. They were served cut in half with a mustard hollandaise, and we re scrumptious. Around the table, we had a variety of beers nda cocktails. I asked the server to pair me a white to go with my fish & chips, and asked for anything except Moscato. They sent a sauvignon blanc that was perfect. My friend next to be had a bloody Mary that was definitely Instagram worthy (see pics). The menu is fairly extensive, but most of us ordered either the fish & chops or the steak & Guinness pie (like a shepherd's pie). For pricing, the scotch eggs are $14.95 ea.; the fish & chips was $29, and the steak & Guinness pie was $30, so I would classify this as "upscale pub." Everything was tasty and a #yum #ReviewsByRL

So, I finally decided to stop in. Brickhouse is located in a larger strip center set back from Fall Creek Road at 96th. It has both indoor and outdoor tables. There's a curb-cut almost directly in front of it, and nearby parking offers accessible options. This strip center is actually fairly old, though Brickhouse moved in not long after the pandemic hit as I recall. It has survived and thrived, from what I've been told, because of their quality products, winning ambience, and friendly service. This is the retail home of Brickhouse Roasters. There's a strong element of faith as the cornerstone of Brickhouse as the owners were missionaries, and their stated mission involves using their coffeehouse as a training platform for missionaries. Brickhouse is locally owned and Indy-based. You can get their beans here, and there's a wide variety of options. Basic options include coffees, lattes, espressos, and all the varieties one would expect. Brickhouse also carries Nelson Teas, Thrive Kombucha, Pure Memory Water, Triple X Root Beer, Martinelli Apple Juice, Natalie Orange Juice, Evian Sparkling Water, imported Mexican sodas and other options. Brickhouse has breakfast and lunch options, baked goods, and quite a bit more. The ambience is definitely a winner. It's intimate yet bold, comfortable yet sort of invigorating. The employees I met were super friendly on a quiet Sunday morning. They are open seven days a week, though there's some variance in their hours. As someone who is almost embarrassingly devoted to my Keurig, I was pleasantly surprised to see they do have some pod options for retail. I'd just gone to a Yelp event, so I kept it pretty simple on this visit and picked up an iced coffee. There's no doubt I'll be back to try the baked goods. I also noted the friendliness of the customers. That's always a good sign to me. As someone who is frequently alone, I tend to go to those places where I can connect even if it's just a passing friendliness. I felt that here. I'll be back.

So I felt slightly better about kind-of-not-really-but-yes-sort-of supporting a local coffee shop. They have a drive-thru, but I parked and went inside to get my coffee. The Sundays were playing over the speakers when I entered, which is always a good sign. I just ordered a black cup of coffee -- they have medium and dark roast drip coffee. It was good coffee, and surprisingly, it got better as it got cooler. I've never had that happen before! Usually, black coffee gets more bitter as it sits, but not so with Ziggi's. They sell a variety of baked goods, packaged cookies, premade breakfast burritos, as well as other beverages that aren't coffee, like smoothies, teas, and something called Energy Infusions. In fact, these kinds of drinks make up the majority of their menu, and their menu didn't even have regular coffee on it. I had to ask if they even sell drip coffee, and indeed they do. The people who work here were very friendly and super efficient. The location is great -- right off the I-70.

It's not much to look at from the outside - in small strip mall off Fall Creek about 2 miles north of 96th, but the inside is both luxe and comfortably cozy. At just 12 tables, you get your table for the night, so there is no rush and your evening can be as long as you want to make it. They also have a gorgeous little side wine room that you can rent for parties of 6-8 for dinner. And there's a little bar area that seats maybe 4-6. We had reservations for 6pm, so there were only 2 or 3 other tables occupied when we got there, but they filled throughout the night (& we left close to 8pm). Our server Shaunda was delightful, and the owner Dan came around and checked on all the tables a few times as well. We were presented with a cous cous amuse bouche, a nice refreshing bite to start the evening. Hubs had an Italian Old Fashioned and I asked our server to pair wine for me, so it was a Decoy Sauv Blanc with our first course - the mussels. We asked for extra crostinis in order to soak up more of the delicious sauce they came in. Next was the beet arugula salad, so good! For entrees, hubs had the pappardelle bolognaise and got an iced T, and I had the short ribs with risotto, paired with a glass of cab franc. Dessert was coffee (americano) for each of us, and we split the tiramisu (see all my pics). We ate and enjoyed everything! Total with tax was right at 200 before gratuity. So this is more of a splurge place for us, (of course would be less without the beverages we did) but we will be back. It was a really pleasant evening and another big win for me picking birthday places! #yum #ReviewsByRL
