Decent fast lunch at a reasonable price! Came here after a visit to health clinic nearby and was in the mood to celebrate taco (and quesadilla) Tuesday. I arrived around 11:30am and was one of the first in, but by the time I left, it was very busy. I was seated at a table by the window and given some chips and salsa and a menu. I ended up getting a medium house margarita and pulled chicken quesadilla which comes with rice and beans and gaucamole salad. The food came out fast and was hot, fresh, and tasty. I got the smaller (10") size and still only ate half of it. I also ended up adding a single shrimp taco with jalapeno, pico, and cheese on a soft corn tortilla. The fresh jalapenos added a great kick and it was a generous serving for a single taco. The margarita hit the spot too, and for $6.50, can't beat that price. Service was fast and friendly - one of the waitstaff asked me if this was my first time and how I had heard of the place. It has a good authentic vibe to it, lots of bright colors and decor. One of the main reasons I frequent here so often and why I drive out of my way to eat here is because of the drive thru!!! This is so convenient and a nice option to have when you don't want fast food! I call ahead when I'm about 10min away, place my order, pull up to the window and boom. Done. Easy. I have eaten inside a few times and think the staff is great, I just love take out and love that I don't have to get out of my car. I almost always order the nachos because they are the first place I've ever ordered them to-go and receive the cheese in a cup on the side! I don't know why this isn't the golden standard for other Mexican restaurants. This allows you to drive home and not have soggy nachos by the time you're ready to eat!! We stopped in earlier this week while in the area. My wife did a search of our bookmarks and Amigos received such positive reviews we knew we needed to stop in. We arrived shortly after 11am and the parking lot was nearly empty. We stepped inside and were immediately impressed with the space. It was well lit, clean and laid out nicely with a variety of different size tables and bar area. We were quickly taken to a table and provided menus. Our server stopped by and was very welcoming. She took our drink orders and we each visited the restrooms, both were spotless! The menu is extensive and organized in a way that is easy to read and includes descriptions of each item. They also have a build your own taco portion of the menu and a large list of side orders to choose from. As we looked over the menu we were provided a large basket of warm tortilla chips and salsa that looked and tasted delicious. As we enjoyed the chips, the amount of customers coming in increased dramatically as people started arriving for the lunch hour. My wife decided to order the lunch fajitas featuring chicken, steak, and shrimp with an extra side of guacamole, double rice, no beans. I chose the burrito Mexicano al Pastor, no beans. It is served with red salsa on one end and green salsa on the other end on top of a white queso. The server was quick to point out that the red and green salsas featured on the burrito were a bit spicy and offered to have them served on the side just in case they were too spicy for my liking, which I appreciated. We enjoyed talking about our day and the chips and salsa were really yummy. Our orders arrived in a timely manner and also looked delicious. We tested the salsas and we both really enjoyed the green salsa but the red was too spicy for us. Everything was really delicious and we felt very taken care of by both the server and the woman who stopped in to check on us. My wife is an avid Mexican food connoisseur and frequently orders fajitas. She said these were the best fajitas in the Triad, in her opinion. I recently moved to the area and stopped by *Amigos* for lunch with a co-worker. Everything was excellent--especially the service. Everyone was friendly and attentive, and our waitress was not only kind but clearly knew the menu well. Now the food--just incredible. The guacamole? Game-changer. I've never liked guac or avocado before, but this place completely flipped that for me. It's the **only** guac I've ever liked... and I really like it. I came back on *Cinco de Mayo* for dinner, and again, everything was awesome. The place was packed, but the staff--from the kitchen to the parking lot--handled it like pros. I still felt like I was their favorite customer. As we were leaving, the manager told me to try the wings next time--said they're the best in the county. I have not been here in a while but I decided that for my birthday all I wanted are them WINGS and I am so happy to have gotten them it seems like they keep getting better and better I did order the Amigo special that brings grilled chicken shrimp steak with rice and beans with salad, but I paid it. Ahhh this place is a breath of fresh air for Mexican food in the area! Their food is always fresh and not overly greasy like other Mexican places we've visited. Our tops favorites are the Diablo burrito & chicken fajitas! Their margaritas are excellent and tastes like they are made in house. We especially love the skinny margarita as it's less sweet and leaves you feeling lighter. The chips are always hot and fresh and the salsa is delicious! Our daughter loves everything on the kids menu, especially the refried beans. The service here also is unmatched. So, let me start by saying this place has made me realize second chances for restaurants are important! When this establishment first opened it was Tres Amigos, and it was ODD to say the least! It was the least "Mexican food" Mexican Restaurant I had ever been too. And the worst part was they had ONE margarita option... ONE! It was revamped and everything changed. This is now my favorite local Mexican restaurant to visit! The food, the beverage selection, and the service is always top notch! I highly recommend the Chorizo Cheese Dip, and they make an awesome spicy Mango Margarita. The prices are VERY fair, and the food is delicious. This is a friendly little spot that I love for their authentic Mexican food and low priced margaritas. As with a lot of Mexican spots, you get free chips and salsa. The salsa is good, but if you are a fan of spicy, ask your server to bring out some of their house made hot sauce. Great and very hot! We've been here twice and both times I've ordered the steak and shrimp Fajitas. It's a lot of food so you better be hungry (or, like me, request a doggy bag)! The Fajitas come with rice, beans, lettuce/tomatoes, a tortilla, and guacamole. They serve a variety of margaritas (with ice or frozen). The sangria margarita is a great choice and it comes with a lot of fresh fruit. It's never been too busy here. We have been able to get a seat without any wait. The staff is friendly and efficient. I got the chicken soup and it was suppose to have black beans added. I called and told them they charged me and they offered a gift card. The soup was pretty good. This week I needed a place to grab a quick lunch with my husband that we could squeeze into his lunch break. We chose Amigos for its convenient location and with the thought that generally Mexican restaurants tend to have quicker service. That being said, they seemed slightly understaffed and the food took a little longer to come out than I would have preferred. A minor thing really, but worth noting if you're in a super time crunch. BUT... the food was yummy, the staff was polite and helpful, the prices were great, and I would definitely go back. My husband ordered the chicken nachos, which came with a huge portion and he was very happy with. I ordered the lunch burrito and requested they switch out the meat for beans inside the burrito. As someone trying to eat plant-based, I always appreciate restaurants that are willing to make swaps without up-charges.
