June 29th I went shopping with my Mother and aunt for dresses to attend a destination wedding in Italy in August. Golchin the associate was attentive and made the last stop of the day the best one. We purchased 3 dresses that day , were asked if we were members of their rewards program. Politely we declined as this was not a place we'd usually shop at. Happy with our choices we departed. Now we're 1 week from the wedding & my dress is unable to be altered in time to wear. With receipt in hand & card used for payment I went to return the dress. Nothing wrong with the dress I actually love the dress but it just isn't going to work. Golchin assisting another customer greeted me and acknowledged my intention to return an item. Once the transaction began I was asked for my phone number, zip code and she was unable to locate my purchase in her computer. I presented her with the receipt, a statement from my bank with the purchase and the card used in the transaction. Only to be told since we declined to sign up for their membership I was only going to be able to receive store credit. Not only was I not made aware of this prior to the purchase, I have never had an associate dismiss my inquiries with a simple shrug and there's nothing I can do. I feel like this is the reason brick and mortar stores are becoming obsolete. I hope since corporate does read & respond to 5 star reviews mine is also given the attention that it deserves. Please Post and Notify Potential customers about your policy. That if you decline to give your personal info prior to purchasing you will be unable to return an item for anything other than store credit. Thank you

Stopped in here because I saw Yellow Luggage through the window. The Yellow had material and…read morezippers separating the shells--not good--won't last. They also sell the "Hot Mess" luggage line I posted a picture of. Some of the luggage that I looked at will not hold up under the pressures of air travel but they look good. Really what you need for air travel is the Samsonite Hard Side suitcase with 2 wheels and a rubber between the shells. I ask how much the Aluminum Suitcase was and the clerk said something in the range of $750! This is not a cheap store to buy luggage but check it out.

I filed online repair fix with Samsonite they approved it and usually, have to drop off at nearest location for repair to be picked up, on top of it I had to pay $15 to be shipped who knows where or it's just been whole time in the store, Andy said they will call me in about 6 weeks, 2 months pass by no one calling. I try to call every week the person on the phone tells me to check next week, that is nothing there, but seems like my luggage been in the store over a month already back and the repairman couldn't fix it ( one wheel ) ??? And he said it's not under the warranty anymore, he couldn't find a small wheel for my luggage to be repaired for two months??? I don't understand??? How this people can sleep and the $15 is not refundable. Horrible business, Please Do Not Go Here, Find somewhere where people respect your time and money you put in their business. They don't have luggage tags for repair when it's in their store, this is describing their customer service work.

I came into the store hoping they could order me a smaller size, but it wasn't available. Sharen stepped in to help and brought out the seamstress, Zohreh, and I'm so glad she did. These were expensive pants (around $1k), so I really wanted them to fit perfectly. I really did not want to return them. Zohreh was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and such a pleasure to be around. I mentioned I had a special event coming up, and she reassured me she could have the alterations done in time. I've been to several other Nordstrom locations before, but this one was by far the most pleasant experience I've had. Everyone was so warm, helpful, and accommodating, and the whole experience was just wonderful. I'm so glad I didn't have to return the pants. Really grateful for the amazing customer service from both Sharen and Zohreh.

I had no idea where the baskets were to put some stuff I wanted to buy in (usually staff hand you a basket too). I ended up finding one halfway into looking through the store. The displays and sales are as good as other branches. The sinks were messy with a bunch of hand soaps scattered and lots of paper towels scrunched on the counter (Hard to find the trash cans too). I did still enjoy shopping here however because of how good this chain is.

Other stores jump on you right when you come in and shove a basket down your throat. The staff in Thousand Oaks is helpful without the pressure. They also have a great selection of items. What I want is almost always available. This is my go-to location!!
