Good food with a side of sass. As someone who has worked in customer service for years, just because you're having a bad day or stressed out doesn't mean you can take it out on customers. Took an hour to get a wrap and quesadilla. We weren't checked in on once during that time, had to ask 3 times for a drink refill and got sassy remarks on the third time I did so. We visit Bluffton often and considering the limited dinner restaurant options in the area, we find ourselves here a couple of times each year, both pre and post name change. Food can be fine however, quality and menu items have suffered in the current economy. Financial considerations aside, if you treat your customers well and appreciate their patronage, people will understand. Inconsistent service and poor interpersonal skills of management has really compromised the potential of the Flipside since rebranding. read more

Great food, great service & a quaint restaurant & town. I had 1/2 the power bowl salad with grilled chicken & I enjoyed every bite. My husband had the turkey quesadilla with rice & he enjoyed his as well. We shared a made from scratch peach cheesecake which was delicious as well. My gorgeous wife had the Lobster roll with homemade crispy chips and I had the Steak tacos. Bill came to $52 (we have bread sticks for an app, also great, homemade ranch was insanely good). Food was amazing. Service was good. The quality of everything was very high. We will be back whenever we are driving on 75. Very clean and upbeat environment. Visiting my Daughter and she said we need to visit Luke's. She attends ONU and they are all crazy about Luke's. I see why, the chunk bowl is really good and the mixture just works. I have it a 4 because of the portion it was smaller then I expected and the fries seems old? The pull pork sandwich was also strong and the fries seemed old and not fresh. Came around 7pm on a Sunday, wasn't very busy but our service was slow and our waitress rarely stopped by our table. Food was good, had the southwest wrap. A few minutes after we got our food our waitress put our checks down and asked if we needed a box, did not appreciate the rudeness, as there wasn't anyone waiting for a table. We had to return the check and ask for dessert, which was frozen, and not how tres leches is supposed to be served. Nice environment, but poor service. read more

Great place, big city lounge/bar vibe in a small town. Karaoke night is great as well as their menu, beer selection, and bathrooms.

I never have any issues with food or timing but seems everytime our family calls to order pickup the LADY yes LADY she's so rushed, rude and judging through the phone. She made me repeat myself as I'm almost yelling through the phone my order, she kept repeating herself as if I wasn't knowledgeable to what she was saying as I confirmed after every sentence. We were told 35 minutes on a table and it took 2 hours. The food is very specialized and have never been happy with what I ordered. After waiting 2 hours to be seated, we were placed in their garage area in the winter and froze, it must not hold heat or they just choose not to heat it. Staff can be nasty at times depending on who you get. Also the people answering the phone need to be taught some manners. My family and I stopped on our way home to Detroit from Cincinnati. This place is a great find. They have comfortable indoor dining as well as a good sized, covered outdoor dining area. I had the chicken philly sandwich. Absolutely delicious. My wife had the chicken breasts with red skin potatoes and a side salad. She couldn't finish it, but so much left she got a box to take the rest home. My daughter got the barbecue "Chicken Chunks" with a side of homemade seasoned fries. Started out as a dive bar 14 years ago, transitioned into a restaurant/bar. Diamond in the rough! First the bad...saw a nitro IPA on the chalk board that got my tongue-a-tinglin'. Never had one before so got really excited. Turns out the nitro tank sprung a leak earlier that day. . Now the good...opted for the Alaskan amber, a solid amber nothing bad to say about it. And for dinner I decided on the popular pulled pork Mac n' cheese. The description included a from scratch cheese sauce and a smoked pulled pork, all made in house. I expected the normal novelty twist on Mac n cheese that you might find at some franchised noodle companies. What I got was honestly beyond surprise. First the plating was simple, clean, and oh so inviting. The smoked pulled pork was tender, juicy, charred, and full of that Smokey taste you only get from a slow skilled pit master. The penne was perfectly cooked, and then the in house cheese sauce that fell through the pasta to the bottom of the plate begged to be lifted back up to coat the pasta and flirt with the pulled pork. Holy crap! That's where I have to leave it...holy, crap...it was good! As the sauce cooled and continued to thicken it started to coat the fork and even resist leaving your lips. To top it off, I bit into the Texas toast that came with it and it had a buttery and garlicky edge to edge finish that was delightfully crunchy on the out side, but so soft on the inside. The salad that came with it wasn't a plain iceberg lettuce, but rather a mixed green with onion, cherry tomato, cucumber, and those dried crunchy noodles. We stopped in on a Monday night on our way home because we searched for restaurants with a patio in the area. It's a sunny 75 degree day, we get there only to be told their patio is "not clean and not open". Okay, no big deal, we're hungry so we'll eat inside. The menu had a lot of stuff, but I found something eventually that sounded good. I order it and of course the only thing I wanted "they're out of that". Would have been nice to know BEFORE I studied the menu for 10 minutes. I brushed that off too and decided on something else. When we got it, to be honest it was just okay. The food wasn't bad, but I wouldn't say it's good either. I'd like to try this place again to see if I can revise this review on a better experience. I'm not sure if Monday is a slow day for them or what, but I was just disappointed with the whole experience in general. Extremely clean-which is always a plus during COVID.
