She has been an opiate addict for the last 15 years. That was the last time she saw the dentist. It was the last time our family was whole. So now we ask lots of questions and generally will never trust any one who claims to hold a medical license again. It's my reality. Seems this offended the anesthesiologist at this office. He stated opiates should be less controlled and if we can't trust him he can't treat my daughter. I was too angry to think. I left. I should have taken my family with me and far away from this evil human being. Be very wary when bringing your kids to this office.

My husband then called and told them he no longer would like to proceed with the treatment and if he could have his down payment back(mind you he has not had his treatment started) they went back and forth and they REFUSED to give him his money back. They came up with excuses and sent me a Word Doc as receipt. No actual ledger or billing codes..... On their website clearly it says first visit they will take digital photographs and 3D x-rays scans ( FREE) I really tried working with them but they are unprofessional. Rude. I tried speaking to a higher up and it was the Orthodontist doctor her self and refuse to speak to me.

Luckily, I really enjoyed my time at this location. I sent in an email asking about a consult, was answered the next day, and was in the next week to talk with Dr. Stout as he looked me over. I was quoted $4200 for my standard metal braces as an adult, the no frills version. I did have an ortho payment through my insurance, so after that was credited I owed $2700 and jumped at the chance to fix my teeth crowding and underbite. I did have braces as a teen, but of course stopped wearing my retainer. They estimated about 2 years of wearing, but I got them off in about a year and a half which was amazing! I got my braces on in 2019, so of course had to go through the heart of the pandemic which was rough when I couldn't go in and get my braces tightened for long periods at a time. But I appreciated their constant emails and sending me tons of care packages for bands and floss and other small items. Dr. Stout was kind and answered all my of questions (and I had quite a few, since this wasn't my first rodeo ). I've moved away from the area but if I have any questions or need to go back for a retainer re up or anything like that I'll happily make the drive back to Kent.

My daughter had braces for 4 years, was a patient of Haeger Orthodontics (Kent/Maple Valley) and this place is night and day in comparison. We were absolutely spoiled with Haeger. Pristera does not open until 8am (so never a before school option), they will not schedule appointments out so if we need to cancel or reschedule it is usually another month wait. They charge for EVERY broken bracket - for kids braces. The cost of son's broken brackets alone by the time we are done will probably be another $1k. There are a lot of very young newer in career assistants and the doctor does not come out (for me anyway) to ever give me an update on my son's progress. Office staff are not friendly. The office in Renton is old, dingy and not cozy at all. Not even coffee or water available while parents wait. Haeger's had fresh baked cookies, Keurig machine, water bottles, ice cream in the summer, iPads and nice clean books for kids waiting, magazines for parents, monthly contests like spirit week where kids could collect coins to cash in at the end of treatment for gifts cards. This place is the same price with none of the above. I'm not even sure they have in office WiFi. I rather sit in my car and use my hotspot. If I wasn't locked into a contract I would absolutely switch to another provider. April 2024 First impression - office lobby (Renton) is dated and dingy. Not even a coffee/water station for parents waiting. 5% discount for paying in full is is a poor discount, most other orthos offered at least 10%. After committing and signing the contract I immediately began having regrets. At the first appointment the doctor and techs did not sound confident in my son's treatment plan. They kept saying we'll try to correct, try to fix. For $7k I was expecting them to be saying we are going to fix his teeth and give him the smile he wants! It's a lot of money to be a gamble, I'd much rather you be honest and say you can either fix his teeth or not. Will update as treatment begins.
