My family and I have been patients of Dr Kirk Kimmerling at Verde Pointe Dental since 2008 after relocating from a MidWest state. First off, the kids needed GA school dental checks and Dr Kimmerling did it for free, when others wanted to charge. As dental work above our annual cleanings/check-ups were warranted I was always more than pleased with the results, including: 1) FINDING errors another dentist had made 2) recommending ways to save money (Have you heard about XYLITOL?!!!) 3) apprising me of future dental fixes (you always have a CHOICE, assert it!) ...just to name a few. I ADMIRE the WHOLE STAFF SYSTEM in place to achieve a total productive business. Like any doctors office there is: - check-in, -time spent in the waiting room -seen to a "room/chair" -attended to with the support staff for prep -doctors exam and visit -check out. ...There was NEVER A LONG WAIT ...All the staff, including the doctor are always FRIENDLY and WELCOMING ...Always PLEASANT and INFORMATIVE conversation available ...Absolutely CLEAN and UPDATED office environment ...Particular ATTENTIVENESS to the look and feel of the WHOLE OFFICE ...uses the most current Professional techniques available I know the dental work done at this office is THE ABSOLUTE BEST available and will not come back to haunt me. I believe YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY for, as with any purchase or investment and that prices at Verde Pointe Dental are competitive. I have never been railroaded into committing to dental work I didn't want or needed extra time to think about/research. It is commendable that Dr. Kimmerling stays current with new and innovative industry products and procedures and is personally involved with the discovery and production of such. I am glad I stayed to get to know the dentists and staff at Verde Pointe Dental, sometime first encounters can be wrong or misleading (I've read some other posts) or it could just be the mood you were in that day; where one sees a glass half empty another sees it half full. I have always voiced any concerns I had about services or prices and they were always met with a sincere and positive response. My name is Kerry Sartain. I am a real patient of Dr. K and have been for 22 years, as have all my family members.. In my opinion his work is of the highest caliber. I would never go to another Dentist. I am 65 years old and have been to other dentists over the years. I know bad dentists because I have experienced them. I know that Dr. K is the best dentist I could ever find. I have had some difficult dental problems to overcome, and in each case Dr. K has discussed all the options with me, and in a few cases acquiesced to my decision to delay treatment, even though the treatment would eventually be required. It is true that his practice is quite succesful, and that being the case, the patient load can be excessive. However, I have never had to wait beyond my appointment time for any cleaning, examinations, or dental work. I have always felt that Dr. K has given sufficient time to my examinations, work performed, and patient care, and never felt like he would go away and leave any question unanswered. I have had occasion to need a prescription filled on a Saturday morning and calling the office number found some staff there working. They told me Dr. K was on the road to a seminar that morning, but graciously connected me to his cell phone where he and I discussed my situation. He provided the necessary prescription and solved my problem. I have seen Dr. K move continuously with the latest technology in every aspect of dental care. I have experienced continued upgrades in materials used, treatment methods, and reduced treatment times. He has made great strides over the years I have been a patient. Those who have posted detracting statements here, I believe, have unreal expectations. If they want to spend time on the couch, they should see a Psychiatrist. If they want the foremost in dental care using the latest in materials, procedures and technology, they should stick with Dr. K. Yes, his charges are at the top of the scale, but close to average for this area. It is no doubt that this part of Cobb County provides the best of medical care that anyone could receive, anywhere in the country. You get what you pay for. read more

I've been to several dentists over the years and I have to say that Dr. Kimmerling and the Verde Pointe office have provided the best dental care I've ever had. My family has been going to this office now for over three years and we are EXTREMELY HAPPY about the care we've received. I've had lots of major dental work done due to an accident and Dr. K has given me back my smile. If you care about your health and you want the best service, you need to try their office. If you want mediocre care, try some place else. I've had mediocre dental care and here's what happens ... they do a poor to fair job ... you pay for it ... then you have to have it fixed again later ... and you pay again. I'd rather have it done right the first time. Dr. Kimmerling cares about doing it right the first time. He is passionate about his work and it shows in the excellent care he gives. He is extremely knowledgeable, is up to speed on the latest in dental care, takes the time to explain procedures, has up-to-date equipment, and really really cares about you and your dental health. His staff is also extremely friendly and caring. Some people have posted that Dr. K doesn't spend enough time with the patient. My family has never EVER experienced this! Dr. K has always spent time talking with us about any dental problems or questions we have had. I've also read reviews from patients saying that Dr. K seemed to offend them when he told them the truth about their teeth and how they are taking care of their teeth. Wouldn't you expect a dentist to tell you if your teeth aren't healthy? If I went to a cardiologist, I would expect the doctor to tell me if my heart wasn't healthy. And if my heart wasn't healthy, then I would want to find out what the doctor recommends in order to get my heart healthy. All I can say is that I highly recommend Dr. Kimmerling. I have five family members that he has taken excellent care of. My own personal dental care is complicated due to my accident. I have spent A LOT of time in dental offices. I totally disagree with Jon S. & Truthful R. My children and I have been going to Dr. Kimmerling for 12 years. He and his whole staff are wonderful. Every procedure is explained in great detail. Nobody there has ever been condescending or obnoxious. They are all very educated, truthful and know their stuff well. Dental work is expensive everywhere. When I have had insurance, he has not been in the network but I would never go to a dentist just because they are in network. I have heard horror stories. The quality of work is fantastic. I have had numerous crowns & root canals, which aren't cheap procedures. They went above and beyond as far as accepting the little each month I could pay. I was never pressured into any procedures or was I ever hounded to pay more than I was able to. I knew enough about my teeth and knew what needed to be done also. My daughter has since moved out of state but will still be going to Verde Pointe Dental for cleanings, etc. when she is in town. They are always so friendly, accommodating and on time! Dr. Kimmerling began working on my horrible teeth 30 years ago: I had just moved to the area and been to his office once. It was Thanksgiving day and I had never experienced such pain. Dr. K met me at his office, and I proceeded to have a necessary root canal. He has been tops ever since! Treatment and equipment are the most beneficial and up to date in dentistry. Because of this, Dr. Kimmerling has been able to save some of my teeth and delay extensive treatment. Staff is pleasant, trained, and efficient. Appointment times are maintained and there is very little waiting in a relaxing waiting room.. When dental work has required a surgeon, Dr. Kimmerling has not only stated I needed someone else to address the problem but sent me to the best oral surgeons in our area. Dr. Kimmerling has administered excellent dental care of my five children encouraging them to brush, floss and have fluoride treatments over thirty years. When new dental products have emerged, Dr. K and staff has shown us how to use them and why. Dental work is costly and affects one's whole life. Why not go to the best? I left an extensive comment about him under Verde pointe dental. I think the fact that half the people here praise him and half the people point him out for the narcissistic violently volatile racist that he is, is indicative of where we are in America. When certain groups are not affected, they overlook the shortcomings of other individuals and even defend them,and it's quite unfortunate. This man should not be practicing medicine on people or at the very least he should have a sign outside that says "I would prefer to only deal with white people" because that is what he and his entire organization exhibit on a pretty consistent basis. And he's overpriced, he doesn't spend enough time with his patients, he's constantly moving from patient to patient, he lies about the types of services you need. And every time I went to him, I need a prescription narcotics to get through the pain. I switch dentists And didn't even need a tylenol afterwards. He is overhyped come over priced, under skilled, a bully and a narcissistic racist. Who actually likes the dentist? I'm sure there are a few of you out there that actually do. I, like most, don't enjoy the dentist. I suppose in the end, we go out of necessity. We'd rather endure a little discomfort now rather than a lot in the future. I guess we enjoy having our teeth too. With that said, this has been the best dentist office by far that I have ever went to. Having business owners in my family, I understand the benefit of word of mouth and a good reputation. It is said that the best compliment you can pay a business is to refer customers. I did just that, and my friend agreed that the staff is deserving of such high accolades. From the first person that checked me in to the last person that checked me out, they were exceptionally respectful and friendly. I can't believe how awesome it is to go to the dentist! Its so strange to think that I'd actually be typing those words - me, a guy who hated brushing his teeth since a child and still has trouble getting down the whole "flossing" bit. Now I'll be the first to admit it, I do have a few cavities every so often; but that is the last thing on my mind I go to Dr. Kimmerling's office. Even when I hear the dreaded "you have a pit right here that needs filling", I don't panic. All his shots are painless (score one!), he doesn't puss around and waste hours of your time (score two!) and he makes you feel like you're the only patient in the office (and game!). I have been a patient of Dr. Kimmerling for over a decade and during that time he has been nothing but caring and compassionate. He has helped not only myself but my family as we'll and we wouldn't even think of seeing someone else for our dental needs. He has seen us thru everything from cleanings to root canals and dental surgery and everything in between. He is an incredibly giving human being which is amazing considering how busy he is. His staff is great too from the other doctors to the front desk staff, all caring and very professional. I have been a patient of Dr. Kimmerling and his staff for over twenty years. I can unabashedly state he and his staff are the benchmark for all other dental practices. He exudes energy, professionalism and a sincere desire to give his patients the highest degree of dental care. Dr. Kimmerling is a "giving" person as he donates his time, energy and skills to the children of Calvary Children's Home as well as the graduates of the Cobb County Drug Program. His support to these programs is "low key." The only reason I'm aware of these philanthropic endeavors is because of the years I've been receiving care at his practice. I have been using Dr. Kimmerling for a few years now. I have trust in his work and his advice on bettering my oral hygene such as purchasing a Sonicare tooth brush. What a difference! Plus he has an attractive female staff! Very clean and pleasant office and atmoshpere. Staff is very friendly. I have never been this comfortable with a dentist before. I had several old metal fillings replaced with composite and the results were fantastic. I have also used his associate Dr. Agulara (hope I spelled that right). Since I was born, I have been blessed with living in many countries all over the globe - luck also dictated that I inherited my father's puny teeth - he lost them all by the age of 45! I just cant get over how Dr Kimmerling and the people at his office were to me on my appointment with my family, we all saw him and it was pretty clear that we were getting pretty good deal on dentist work. He is pretty much devoted to his work, extremely smart and very knowledgeable when he is taking care of you. I went back a few days later to get my silver filling replaced, it was painless and he showed me pictures afterward of the decay (OMG Im so embarrassed) under my old filling.... On the recommendation of my daughter who, along with her two children, were patients, my husband and I have now been patients of Dr. Kimmerling for approximately 13 years. He and all of his staff from the front office personnel to the hygienists are professional and friendly. I just moved out here and needed a dentist asap. I made an appointment which was very quick- I will give them that, but he and his assistant were VERY condescending when it came to my treatment. He insisted I need drastic high cost procedures and that I was a fool to not go his route. I got a second and third opinion and both dentists said he was probably trying to get more money out of me and just fixed the problem. Its a shame since the staff was very friendly. Dr. Kimmerling and all of his office staff and dental assistants are as good as it gets. Everything is state of the art and and the attention to detail, comfort, safety and conveying relevant information should be a model for other practices. He may not always tell you what you WANT to hear, but that's not what good doctors do. Dr. Kimmerling and Julie are the best-of-the-best in what they do and how they treat their patients. Most importantly, he stands behind his work. I had a root canal that was done by Dr. Krempa. I had to get it redone and I spoke with Julie in the office. She spoke with Dr. Kimmerling and said it wasn't a problem, that they would take care of it. I had it redone with a specialist. He did a great job - Dr. Slaton. I would definitely recommend these guys if you want the best-of-the-best! read more
