After having issues all my life getting quality restorations (fillings and crowns) I found this place. Friendly staff, great quality restorations. Silber's assistant Sharon is so good at making temporary crowns, I'd be inclined to leave it in, if not for the material and cement not being permanent, lol! I've had small issues with repairs not holding up (rare occasion) but I attribute that to not wearing a bite guard at night (I'm a grinder) and if you have crowns that's a must! And everyone's mouth is different, we all chew differently. Your teeth also move around throughout your life (muscles and tendons reposition and re-tension). Plus, the deeper the filling, more likely for issues. And the more times a tooth has been worked on, it becomes more sensitized and the work becomes more complicated. He never pushes for more work than is necessary. He's made sure I'm pain free in any case. Even gave me a free replacement crown when it cracked (I have a heavy bite and wasn't wearing bite guard at that time). If you ever have discomfort after a restoration, just go back and they will do their best to make it right for free.

He improperly shaved my tooth down to prepare me for a crown. The temporary did not fit, had holes and cracks and exposed tooth causing me 2 weeks of throbbing pain. He said I needed a root canal. I ran out of there to eastbrooke dental in Novi, MI and they confirmed that Dr gagoh lied, I didn't need a root canal in fact a filing probably would have corrected the problem and that Dr gagoh put on a thin misshapen temporary. Dr gagoh didn't sound professional or knowledgeable. My instincts told me to get a second opinion and I'm glad I did. AVOID LATHRUP FAMILY DENTISTRY AT ALL COSTS YOU WILL PAY FOR IT.

I sometimes forget about my regular cleanings, they have a postcard system where you fill it out and they mail it to you as a reminder to schedule your cleaning appointment. I had all of my wisdom teeth removed here as well. I chose to be numbed only but they can put you under. They were understanding that I could only afford to do one wisdom tooth at first because I didn't have great insurance. Then I had three done, and was miserable... But they helped me through the pain and the dry socket. Now I'm finally to the point where I can do invisilign and I'm so excited to have straight teeth. When I arrived at my appointment, the front desk staff were incredibly sweet, accommodating, and professional. It turned out that I needed two emergency root canals. Even though they had a fully-packed Sunday appointment-wise, they completed the intensive procedure within 90 minutes of my initial appointment, taking my pain seriously. I also had issues with my insurance and they discounted the cost for me in-house, saving me around $500. The receptionist even called me the day after to see how I was feeling. These people are serious professional and take their practice seriously. I will 10/10 make this my go-to dentist moving forward.

That was the office that had dried up throw up on the waiting room chair and totally inappropriate daytime TV blaring in the waiting room. I could go on and on but that's what Yelp's for! This dentist had a clean waiting room, no television I had to worry about my children seeing, up to date magazines. Nice staff. They acknowledged me, paid attention, were friendly and professional. The office has easy parking and a nice Royal Oak location. The dentist himself is all busines. I sat in on the exam, as my daughter is traumatized by another dentist who never checked that she was numb before pulling 5 teeth unnecessarily. Instead of talking to me so much, the dentist spoke straight to my scared stiff daughter and explained all his numbing steps and what she will feel. He defined to her the difference of pain and feeling the tooth come out. As she waited, she was given the remote control to a TV so we could control what she watched. This helped chill her out. He pulled her tooth out PAINLESSLY. She was shocked. I felt horribly I didn't start with this guy in the first place. He was a referral from our orthodontist, Dr. Bruno. Some things are worth spending money on. And his price was fair anyway. I will be bringing my whole family there. I asked how long a dental cleaning in an average mouth should take. More than 10 minutes of course! So I'm eager to meet the hygeniest. They're as important as the dentist in my opinion. I love my white teeth and want to keep them pretty! I also appreciate that Dr. Eades keeps up on his education, as I do the same in my field. There is always new science and always more to learn and master. I appreciate as well when I asked him about my own TMJ issues that he admitted he isn't a TMJ specialist. All of the hygienists are friendly and very efficient. The ladies at the front desk are so sweet and friendly! I actually don't mind coming to the dentist because everyone is just so nice and you feel very welcome. On top of my regular cleanings and occasional filling, I have invisible braces (Clear Correct) through Cohen Modern Dentistry. I've been very happy with the progress! I also just started whitening treatments through them as well. Check them out! You will not be disappointed!

I feel like a freak because I love going to the dentist…read more Before I began visiting Dr. Cohen, I had already sat through a ton of dental work including a few extractions, countless fillings and a couple temporary crowns with several dentists. I *really* didn't like dentists before I met Dr. Cohen because my teeth had been treated carelessly by the dentists before him. But ask me now about going to the dentist and I'll say I love it. I mean, like everyone, I still hate getting my teeth cleaned and the terrifying sound of a drill against my tooth, but overall Dr. Cohen and his team make sitting in the dentist chair the best possible experience. I'm mainly updating my review to say this is still an awesome dental office. I now live in Dearborn but drive out of my way to have my dental needs taken care of in Wyandotte. I recently had to have 2 more crowns done (sucks, I know!) and they were both great experiences. Dr. Cohen and his amazing dental assistants always make sure to explain what he's doing, make sure I can't feel anything and that I'm as comfortable as possible. They even take care to put a moisturizer on your lips to make sure your lips and corner of your mouth don't get cracked during a procedure and give you sunglasses to keep the bright light (and water!) out of your eyes. His office still offers the amazing paraffin wax treatment, along with a nice, heavy shoulder massage wrap. They also have an iPad to play with while waiting for the doctor to come in, how cool is that? In addition, I noticed they made a few upgrades to the way they examine your teeth in regard to total body health. Again, if you're looking for an awesome, tech-savvy, considerate dentist with assistants and staff that truly care about you, please consider Dr. Cohen in Wyandotte. I hated dentists before I started going there but now, I can say: "Yep, I love going to the dentist."
