Came in over the weekend when we were going to visit Home Goods. This was my first experience at this store and I will say I won't be back. While they had a lot of cute merchandise and furniture, a store associate very rudely approached my family when we were testing out some chairs and basically shooed us out. She rudely told us that it wasn't a toy as if implying that I couldn't afford their merchandise that we were testing. If customers can't even test the furniture you sell, perhaps you shouldn't sell furniture. It was the most condescending interaction I've ever had in a store. That associate should definitely not work in customer service. Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name, but she was an Asian associate. There are many ways she could have approached us, but she decided to choose violence by attacking my children. We saw a lot of stuff we liked and were going to purchase them, including the chair, but after her rude interaction with us, we decided to go to Home Goods and shop instead where my business is welcome. What a way to run customers out the door. If this isn't a family friendly store, perhaps put a big sign at the door that says "NO KIDS". Ridiculous...While I shouldn't base my review of an establishment solely on the voice of just one worker, sales associates serve as the face and voice of a business. read more

They are extremely hospitable and even if I need to return something I got online, they are more than accommodating if it was damaged or warped in shipping!! Delilah was so excellent in helping me with a framed print i got online and the frame was warped on the bottom and it was a sale item but she exchanged my print anyway!! I love this place but my last interaction with their clerk or whoever answered my call was extremely rude!!. Calila or Khalila made me feel like an absolute idiot for calling to confirm that my order was ready for pick up. I don't live in Gilroy and was making a trip into town so I decided to check my order status online. The status said " ready for pick up" (btw my ETA was for 2/15) I decided to call and confirm that this in fact was correct. Me: hi, I'm calling to check if my order is ready for pick up. Calila: did you receive a confirmation email that the order is ready for pick up? (& btw she's saying this with an annoyed tone in her voice) Me: umm no I check the order status online and it says that's it's ready for pick up. I just called to confirm that it's correct. Calila: okay cause you'll receive an email that the order has been shipped and then an email that the order has been received by our store and we've checked it in. Did you receive a confirmation email?? Me: No, I checked the status order online and since I'm making a trip into Gilroy I was confirming. Calila: okay when did you place your order cause it could take up to 4-6 weeks to receive the order. Me: I placed in it in January and my ETA was for arrival before 2/15. Can you just check on the order cause your being extremely rude. Okay so at this point I'm pissed off because im not a moron and I had already explained to her that I checked my shipped status online. The staff at this location should take some classes on customer service! Now I'll just call Kirkland and cancel my order. UPDATE: I just got off the phone with Kirkland and my order is ready for pick up. I explain to Customer service about my horrible experience and they'll be taking it to a supervisor to cancel my order. YIPPEEEEE! Another home decor store! I recently got married and my husband and I moved into a new home, and I was bitten by the home decor bug. So after spending 500 million hours on Pinterest attempting to get inspired I decided to stop in and see what I could find at Kirkland's. I ended up leaving with a gorgeous teal blue shabby chic-like standing mirror and I looooove it! It cost $70, but...I like it! The store can be a little overwhelming and the scents overpowering (candles, etc.), but if you're in the mood to prowl around a home decor store come to Kirkland's. It can before your pre-game before heading over to Home Goods next door or Pier 1 across the street! read more

This store just opened in the former Famous Footwear building next to Old Navy. I work at Home Goods, two doors down, and we were expecting a lot of competiton form Kirklands, but they barely seem like a threat. Kirklands has a lot of the same stuff you see at stores such Home Goods, except that there's no kitchen, cookware, food, bed and bath, kids and pets stuff. It is also a bit like Cost-Plus, but without many of the world market items. Kirklands is heavy on wall decor and furniture. I've only seen the store twice so far, as it's only been open since September 12. But it looks like a good store. read more

Neat little home goods and decor store! There are some really good finds here (both seasonal and every day); mirrors, wall art, signs, outdoor pieces, small furniture, candles, tableware, etc. *think Home Goods, TJ Maxx home decor section. There is no bathroom decor however, or cookware, or linens. Their prices are good, and they do also offer extra discounts on current seasonal decor - aka it's October so the Harvest/Holloween stuff is an additional 20% off. Super helpful employees. The staff and some of the items deserve 5 stars but the crammed feeling and chaos and the small space got the 3... Wish it were bigger to accommodate! read more

Kirkland's timeline. May 07, 2018 3:52pm I have a major complaint right now with Kirkland's and unfortunately the only response I am getting from customer service is basically "you're S.O.L."! I shop at kirklands on a regular basis. I love there product. The last time I made a purchase, I was told that I had over 1300 rewards points and that they didn't know why I wasn't getting the $10 reward certificates. They said I should call customer service to find out why, so that I could redeem them. Well 5/3/18, I called customer service to find out how to redeem my points because I wanted to buy a couple of chairs. They told me that there program had changed and the points were no longer redeemable as of that day. This really upset me since I would have had over $40 in rewards and I asked why no one told me I only had so long before it changed? I was told that the store employees didn't know. They said an email was sent out and I should have read my email. I checked my email....I received it at 935pm on 5/2/18. I don't know about your stores...but my stores close at 9pm. And this new program went into effect 5/3/18!!! I am a very loyal customer. I also make many referrals to their store. I just feel jipped, to tell you the truth. In the email it says in small print "your points are no longer redeemable but we looked at your points" and congrats we're giving you $10. What crap. I spoke to Brenda, a Customer Service supervisor. I asked her if the was anything that could be dome to compensate me somehow and she offered me a %15 off coupon or a 25% coupon but it doesn't include furniture. Really???? No thanks!!! I can find a better coupon myself. I find it extremely disappointing that this is how they treat customers that have been shopping there religiously for the past 20+ years....guess I will have to find a new place to shop!!!! I thought this store is crazy to open a couple of doors down from Homegoods. Why open next to a competition, right? Well, they carry different things although this store cater more to home decor. It is quite small, no rolling carts...just don't have enough room for it. The workers are quite helpful. Prices are affordable which is why I think they will be successful in Gilroy. read more

I never heard of a Kirklands till I came up here to NorCal. I thought it was kirkland from costco, ha! But who knows, maybe it is?? They have a bunch of home decor, they don't seem like they are the best of qualities and you can see imperfections in many of their merchandise but I think they are appropriately priced. I will probably make another walk through here when i'm ready for some finishing touches in my place such as table lamps, paintings and oversized mirrors. read more

Customer Service was FIRST CLASS! I had the best shopping experience at this store. It right before Thanksgiving, I was assisted by a young gal at first (oops I forgot her name). She was totally sweet, they don't have baskets so she was nice enough to run everything to the front of the store every time I collected something new so that I wouldn't have to carry it. After looking around at the wall portraits, I was assisted by Paula. She was very kind, she helped me decide on some additional décor, actually on all of it. LOL We talked for a bit while she placed items on display. I found her to be very personable and caring, really focused on making the client (me) happy. Pretty cool huh!?! Then... I need a portrait taken down so I can see it better since I'm totally short. Danny helped me with that. He was really nice too. He suggested I buy this Cork display bottle thing after I told him that I save wine corks. I did get it. After I finally checked out, Danny helped me to my car but my portrait didn't fit so I had to send someone with a SUV to pick it up for me so it worked out. Love the store, but, I bought a vase on line, and still waiting for the vase. I was originally told by the store, I can pay for shipping and the shipment would come in 3-5 days. Wrong, the shipment took over 2 weeks, and then guess what, the way it was packaged was so flimsy, the vase was received broken.... I went back on line and request a replacement, and and now I have to wait another week. 3 weeks for an expedited shipment?? won't use on line again... n read more

Lower your customer service expectations! I was in the store tonight attempting to seek new wall decor. I love the inventory variety and the pricing is very affordable but the customer service needs improvement! I was not greeted by any of the three employees on duty. I understand they were dealing with new shipment but don't forget, we the customers keep the business going! Finally after about 15 minutes in the store someone asked me if I was finding everything ok. I did not make a purchase tonight and I'm wondering if the not so great service had something to do with that?! read more

Kirklands proved today that they definitely stand behind what they sell . I had a picture that I purchased from there just break and fall off the wall from some weird fluke accident. The mounting screws that held the hangers on the back of picture just popped off and picture fell to the ground and cracked the frame . I decided to bring the pic in to store to show what happened and Kirklands decided to "do the right thing" and replace it with the same pic , that they actually only had 1 more in stock . Very impressed with the customer service at this establishment . I would definitely recommend this place to other people. Top notch service here. read more

I had the WORST customer service EVER with them. I ordered a canvas from them 2 weeks ago, and it still has yet to be shipped. In the disclaimer, it states that it will take 7-10 business days or less to receive the item. I needed this item last week, and am very disappointed to say that it did not arrive in time. When speaking with a customer service rep, they were not helpful at all. They kept saying that they apologize, but I needed them to fix the issue, not keep apologizing. This store has a wonderful selection of merchandise in the home goods and gift categories. The problem is that I have been trying to buy a small plaque three times without being assisted at the check out or having to wait so long in line that I had to leave. Note to manager: teach the associate's to acknowledge the customers waiting to pay. If you do not, we feel ignored and have no idea how long we'll have to wait. This is why I will go home and it the item from Amazon with a 2 day shipping. If we do not get personal service at your store, you will lose business fast. read more

I've ordered from Kirkland's many times. My most recent order contained 3 large pillows that I did not order. I called the number posted on the website to inquire what I should do. I was told to return them to the nearest store. When I arrived at the store, with the large box of pillows, which wasn't heavy, but was awkward to carry, I put the box near the check out desk. I was told to wait and someone would be with me. The clerk was a bit abrupt, but they were busy so I waited. I realize the situation was unusual, but I was just trying to do what is right. I didn't pay for the pillows, but I did go out of my way to return them. No thank you was provided. The clerk just made sure the pillows were Kirkland items. read more

I LOVE kirklands, but I give it a 2 for their customer service, specifically at the Cherry Hill, NJ location. Numerous times now I've placed an order online during a sale or with a coupon, and it gets cancelled due to unavailability. I've called the manager to inquire about the cancelled order, and get such rude responses telling me she can'tdo anything about it. Today, I called to see if I could put an item on hold until I could come get it after work, as it wasn't available online. I called, and the associate said I could put it on hold and took my name down. When I went to pick it up after work, I was told that they cant do holds for sale items, so the manager sold it a few hours earlier. I traveled 30 minutes for the sole purpose of picking up the item. I'm beyond frustrated, and sad to say that I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Whooooa! This place is pretty awesome! The moment I walked into the shop, I felt like it was stepping into part Disneyland, part Harry Potter World during Christmas. OMGAH, this place is so decked out in christmas stuff, I still can't even distinguish if this is a home furniture/accessories shop or a christmas store. Bad Customer Service Experience! I went there to return an online purchase that must have gotten broken during shipping. Of the three people working the register, none of them knew how to do an online return. Finally one girl figured it out and wanted to give me the refund on a gift card. I said ok at first but realized the item may not be available online anymore so I asked her to put the refund on my credit card. She said she couldn't because it was past 30 days but according to the receipt it clearly wasn't. She was trying to make other excuses but really she didn't know how so I asked for a manager or someone that knew what to do and she called me rude. Guess she didn't like my tone because by this time I had already been waiting at least 20 minutes. I explained how frustrating it was that no one could do this return properly. Finally the manager came and she was very helpful and understanding. That's why I gave 1 star instead of 0. I told the manager the other people should be trained how to do online returns and that one girl called me rude. By that time the girl returned and called me rude again! I wish I got a look at her name tag but she is thin with brown stringy hair and glasses. Hopefully she is just seasonal help because she has horrible customer service skills and I would rather just go to Home Goods because the prices are better and the selection is just as good if not better. read more

I found this place by researching framed mirrors online for our bathroom remodel. I could not order the mirrors to be shipped to my home - the only option was to go to the store or ship it to the store. I called the store to ask them if they had 5 different mirrors in stock. I spoke to a gal named Sara (I think that was her name) and she was so helpful. She took the time to find all the mirrors, told me she would have them on hold. So I drive 35 miles south to Gilroy the next day. All the folks there were so helpful. The mirrors were up front for me - and mind you these were large mirrors! It took me time to make up my mind and they just let me figure it out. One of the young ladies even gave me a tape measure to help me determine if they would fit right in my bathrooms. When I finally made up my mind (with their help) of which two to pick, I attempted to try to make room for a 38x65 mirror in my sedan. A lady named Sharon tried to help me fit it in and it didn't work. I was hoping not to have to make another trip (I was anxious to get to the store after work - and didn't plan to drive our larger/longer car - dumb me). Anyways - my experience from calling the store to coming into the store and making my purchase was superb. I had about 4 people help and talk to me. One of the best customer experiences I've had in a long time. Oh- and the store is so cute with home decor, holiday decor and even jewelry. I just wish it was closer. And my husband did have to go there the next day to pick up the large mirror :-) read more
