While checking out, the cashier informed me that one of the pants I was purchasing was final sale and asked if I had tried it on. When I said no, he actually recommended that I do so before completing the purchase. I went back to the fitting room at 8:40 PM, and the store doesn't close until 9:00 PM. Two male employees were standing there talking, and when I asked if I could try something on, they told me the fitting rooms were already closed. I explained that it would be a quick try-on and that the item was final sale, but they still refused to open the fitting room. Closing the fitting rooms 20 minutes before the store closes--especially when customers are still actively checking out--is poor customer service. Don't call yourself Nordstrom Rack if you can't provide that level of service.

When I arrived and marked myself as "here" on the app I got a notice apologizing and saying curbside pickup is no longer available at this time and to either come in or try again later. I had to wake up my two year old and sleeping infant to bring them inside to get my order. Great. Both kids crying but what do you do... I can't leave them in the car. I get inside, and it's dead quiet. There's three employees just socializing at the pickup counter and Atleast one was wearing a neon colored vest (assuming they were the curbside employee?) Anyway. I don't use curbside pickup because I'm lazy. I use it because I have two little kids. I'll probably just order elsewhere next time I'm here and in need of something.

So allow me to elaborate, if you look up pricing on target.com you will see most items are priced at HALF price posted in the store. When I stopped into this location I quickly noticed the price dispensary. Lately I have found myself coming to target because of their great exclusive colored vinyl records - so I was able to get; Nirvana unplugged (on purple vinyl) and the 2 LP soundtrack to Almost famous (one of my favorite movies ) both were cheaper with in store pickup, and a couple of hours later they were ready for pickup. The entire process was so simple, and if I can save money in the process than that's great! Helpful tip; if you're in a rush store pickup is great otherwise you may find yourself paying inflated prices. So do in store pickup and you'll thank me later.

While they had a lot of cute merchandise and furniture, a store associate very rudely approached my family when we were testing out some chairs and basically shooed us out. She rudely told us that it wasn't a toy as if implying that I couldn't afford their merchandise that we were testing. If customers can't even test the furniture you sell, perhaps you shouldn't sell furniture. It was the most condescending interaction I've ever had in a store. That associate should definitely not work in customer service. Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name, but she was an Asian associate. There are many ways she could have approached us, but she decided to choose violence by attacking my children. We saw a lot of stuff we liked and were going to purchase them, including the chair, but after her rude interaction with us, we decided to go to Home Goods and shop instead where my business is welcome. What a way to run customers out the door. If this isn't a family friendly store, perhaps put a big sign at the door that says "NO KIDS". Nonetheless, when my girlfriend went to Livermore on Monday before Thanksgiving, it was packed. We came here on Wednesday and it was nearly deserted despite having much of the same stores and discounts as Livermore. It is definitely less walkable than Livermore, requiring you to cross the street to get between various plazas. But it is a great way to get 90% of the shopping experience for 50% of the stress.

But, in this case, the "mall" requires you to walk across the lot and the busiest streets in Gilroy because it's divided into four sections (or three zones). And, unlike malls, there's no AC between these stores, no food court, and no sitting areas for guys while our girls are at Pons 4 Less, Bra World or Mops N' Stuff. Bonus for having well-maintained bathrooms at each building. The only skechers seemed to be in the shoe store.
