Thank you Kiss for allowing us to host our friend's going away dinner this past weekend! First, making the reservation for a large party was easy! Mr James called to schedule and answered all my questions. Day of event the staff was very friendly and had everything set and ready for all guests to be seated on time. Our waiter, Jordan was such a great waiter. He was patient and kind. Best part was the food which was great. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Sometimes having big dinners in Houston can be scary (iykyk) so I mean it when I say thank you all for a great experience

I've heard of KISS many years ago but this was my first time visiting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My friend reserved the "speakeasy" private room and it did NOT disappoint!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] First shoutout goes to our A-MAZING waitress Mikaylah!! She did not miss a beat! Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and all the things! Thank you Mikaylah for giving us the VIP treatment! Will was another waiter who also stepped in to assist us, his energy is so contagious! Thank you! All the staff were so helpful and service was exceptional! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Next shoutout goes to whoever thought of this "speakeasy" idea and the spectacular decor. The details that went into it were definitely well thought out and strategically designed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] KISS THE CHEF!!!...I don't know who was in the kitchen but EVERYTHING I tasted was magnificent. Fall off the bone oxtails, creamy with a slight crunch mac n cheese, mama's Saturday grits, and "grandma put her foot in it" greens.... Lol! .....I am not over exaggerating. Everything was 10/10!

Came here for New Year's eve. I've been here before and wasn't that impressed then so I was hoping for better... It's honestly always a red flag when they have a time limit for dining... it's speaks to the focus of the restaurant which is not customer service. The 2nd red flag is automatic added gratuity. 20% at that... This restaurant offers both. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we entered the restaurant and they had new years picturesque settings for pics. They were playing the music really loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It took them a while to seat us too. They were offering a New Year's menu and still had the regular menu available as well. I ordered frombthe New year's menu. It was 3 courses I ordered the crab salad royale as my 1st course. It was the best thing of the 3 courses. My second course was fried catfish and crawfish etoufee. It was too damn salty. Like they put a gallon of salt in the dish and made it almost inedible. My 3rd course was the chocolate cake. It was petrified, dry and just not good. It tasted old. My friends ordered the oxtail and they seemed to like it along with the deviled eggs. They found the banana pudding to be mid as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They provided champagne and streamers for the NY countdown.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall um yeah no. I don't actually need to come back here. Bad food, mid service too loud music...plus time limits no.

Stopped by for a few drinks and snacks before a night out! Food was great! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was fast and friendly, they were dressed up for Halloween which was so fun to see![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is an adult location, lol dim lights, great drinks and bites on their menu for happy hour![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Check them out if you're in Houston and want a cool place to catch up with your friends!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very nice and great decor here at Kiss.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great and kind service. Our server was so nice and helpful with our order. It was served within a great time and taste so delicious. I got oxtail, collared greens and grits and it was all just the way I like my food. Tender and flavored oxtail, perfect texture of grits. My friend got waffle and chicken and my other friend got fried fish and grits, it was all so good they ate it all. At first I was a bit disappointed with receipt it had food taxes, taxes and gratuity. It was only 3 of us so I didn't expect the gratuity to be added and not sure why there were multiple taxes added. However I got over it due to our amazing server. As we were taking pictures and leaving I told him thanks for nice service for my friend birthday he immediately said he didn't know it was her birthday and he happily said stay here sit back at the table. We did and he so amazingly brought her some dessert while he was dancing, that was so exciting. We greatly appreciated him and gave him more tips. I would like to go back again but I wish those multiple taxes and gratuity was not included.

I've always enjoyed KISS because the food is usually really good and the drinks never disappoint. Last night I went with a girlfriend for some drinks, and everything was going well until I stepped outside to my car and came back in. I had a quick question for one of the hostesses, and the experience completely shifted. One hostess, who was very sweet and professional, was great. But another hostess was extremely rude and disrespectful. I tried to ask her a simple question, and instead of acknowledging me, she kept walking, looked me up and down, and made me feel completely dismissed. It ruined the vibe of the evening and left such a bad impression that I didn't even want to interact with her again when I came back inside. She was short, had pigtails at the front of her hair and wore glasses. She was also on her phone when we originally walked in and didn't even greet us (cameras can prove this) The bar service was great, the drinks were on point, and the food (as always) was good, but service at the front door matters just as much. Unfortunately, because of that one interaction, I can't recommend KISS and am leaving a one-star review.

Love the decor and vibes here. Ive been here twice and I must say both times has been amazing. It's really hard to find a nice brunch spot that has amazing customer service. The food and drinks are on point. So not only does the vibe give life but the food hits the soul. I ordered the crab beignets and the soul platter. Everything was top notch, fresh, fast, seasoned and well thought out. This place is a must visit for any event.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the vibes here![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good food great music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have someone come around to take photos of your table & you have the option to purchase your favorites. Cost about $25 but includes the frame. I love the martinis and flavors offered. Lamb chops are always a go. I definitely enjoy coming here on Thursday for ladies night.

Please read entirely. I tried Kiss with my church family in December 2025. It was so good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service, music, ambience amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Oxtails and grits were delicious! I had to go back for my birthday January 2026. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Again dinner was amazing but my birthday was ruined completely because someone busted out our window.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The restaurant had no video footage or regards for us what so ever and they're parking attendants OUTSIDE!! Experience shattered, be careful

Came here with a large party (18 folks) , so we were given a pre fixe menu. Food : was mid. Normal aesthetically pleasing place. I had the NY strip that was supposed to be cooked medium, but was so close to well done. I didn't have them take it back because it isn't a steakhouse so I don't have high expectations. The people who had the past really enjoyed it! Service: SLOWWWW, but friendly. But SLOWWWW. Since we were a large party it was shared appetizers (Family style) , Pick 1 out of 3 main courses, and cheesecake served on a platter . So why did everything take 3 + hours I am not sure. We even did one ticket, so yeah not sure. Environment: Dress code strictly enforced. The place claims to be "vibe dining" so basically loud DJ music and club lighting LOL.

We came to Kiss to enjoy their cinema date night. They had $55 per couple, 3 course meal and they were playing Halloween movies all night long. We did make a reservation but it wasn't really necessary. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We came on a Tuesday and it was empty though not necessarily a good or bad thing for a weekday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was a dark, sexy lounge vibes with Halloween decoration to match the theme.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waitress was super sweet, she check on us, poured our drinks and let us know the other specials the throughout the week. The food was decent. The dumplings were definitely the star of the meal. The regular menu items are a bit pricey but it's definitely a vibe for a date night, girls night or birthday dinner.

I feel like this is a perfect vibe brunch with minimal stress and good food. I've heard that years ago it used to be super packed but now it isn't so much like that but I feel like that's a good thing because anytime you wanna come for brunch you can always get a table. It also has a nice ambience. They play a lot of R&B music and they also as I included in my video have live music as well. There is a man that plays the electric guitar over the music that is being played and it sounds really good and definitely adds to the vibe. The food also is tasty as well. I enjoyed my meal and I got the mimosas as well. I always enjoy myself when I come here and I definitely recommend it to anybody in Houston. Our server by the way was also really sweet and helpful as well.

Her face is all you need to know about her attitude. I hate the job for her. Giving menus and pointing people to a seat must be challenging.

    Ask the Community - Kiss

    Whats the price range?

    $$$

    Is valet available during brunch?

    Yes

Does this restaurant serve mac & cheese on the dinner menu? Their website doesn't list any of the sides they have.

Mac and cheese does come with specific dishes like the Grilled Pork Chops. Most times you can swap out or add sides for an additional charge.

Is it ok to bring a child to Sunday Brunch?

    Yes, it's still a restaurant!

Is Kiss restaurant 21 and over only?

Not that I know of. Mostly adults are there. But I have seen some children.

    Is it kid friendly?

It's kid friendly likely earlier in the evening. The later it get it's not.

Do they play music the whole time? If so, it it really loud? Like can you still have conversations at the table?

The music is loud but we came during dinner and sat outside so we were able to have conversation, brunch may be different.

    Is there a dress code?

It says it on the site but when we went it definitely wasn't.

We have reservations for the patio. It was the only option. Will we get the same experience on the patio or should we change it?

I did sit inside when I went, but I was envious of the people on the patio. The restaurant has nice views just given it's location. If you generally enjoy outdoor seating, keep it!

Is the music too loud for conversation (from 6p-9p)? Can you bring babies/toddlers during that time?

The music is loud. I wouldn't bring a toddler.

It was warm, crispy and delicious! Karak tea ($5) - This milk tea drink was made with aromatic spices, primarily cardamom, cloves, ginger and cloves. I was happy to see they used whole milk instead of evaporated milk. The drink was incredibly rich and creamy and tasted great. Turkish delight ($18 / lb.) - This was extremely fresh, soft and chewy, made with cornstarch, sugar, nuts. Some of the varieties I tried had chocolate and/or fruits. The baklava here was fresh made with layers of phyllo dough, chopped nuts, and held together with some honey. The nut offerings here included, almonds, walnuts, peanuts and a few more. For example, with the Turkish delights and ice cream selections, only a few items are labeled. For most of them, you have to guess the flavor or ingredients. When I asked questions, there was a language barrier, and the staff member behind the counter was unable to clearly explain what the items were in English. This can be especially frustrating for customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions. In the U.S., I would expect all flavors and ingredients to be clearly labeled so customers can make informed choices. Even if staff members are not fluent in English, having accurate labels for flavors and ingredients would greatly improve the customer experience. The desserts themselves are excellent, but better product labeling would make the experience much more enjoyable and accessible for everyone.

You're paying for the K-Pop Demon Hunter pop-up aesthetic, the upbeat vibes, the fast service, the themed menu. The desserts? Solid. The Pinky Up Parfait hits. One scoop of cappuccino ice cream comes generous and tasty. Nothing disappoints. But nothing revolutionizes dessert either. This is good execution in service of a limited time experience, not destination-level pastry work. And that's fine. That's exactly what a pop-up should be. The real draw is that everything works together. Vibe, music, service, and desserts that don't let the side down. It feels fun, not gimmicky. That's harder to pull off than you'd think. Bottom line. Pop-ups don't stick around. If the K-Pop theme is your thing and you want solid desserts in a fun environment, go now. If you're just looking for great desserts, permanent spots do it better.

The customer service was great and prices were really good. Now to the items, the ube bread is phenomenal, soft, sweet, flavorful 10/10. I also got a biscoff bread sandwich (I'm forget the name) which had the softest and most perfect bread I've ever indulged in. Now to what the employees recommended and the absolute star. The ube Swiss roll. Omg, it was phenomenal. 20 out of 10! It was perfect in every way. I live 30 mins away but will make sure to keep The Bakers Son on a must go place weekly!

I've heard a lot and seen many posts about The Baker's Son in Houston. The videos and pictures made…read moretheir bread and pastries look delicious and very promising. Since we were already in the area after breakfast at TJ's Filipino Cuisine, we finally got the chance to stop by and try their baked goods for ourselves. We arrived early, so the bakery wasn't too busy yet. The bakers were busy prepping more goodies in the back while my cousin and I browsed all the Filipino baked goods we really miss from back home in the Philippines. They even had suman, sapin-sapin, biko, and other kakanin, which was nice to see. I specifically looked for the chicken empanada, and my cousin wanted to try the ube white chocolate chip cookie. We also saw different kinds of siopao and planned to come back later to buy some before heading back to San Antonio. We tried the ube white chocolate chip cookie first, but honestly we weren't totally satisfied. It tasted more like a regular white chocolate chip cookie with purple coloring and didn't really have much ube flavor. I also tried the chicken empanada. My cousin didn't like it because it was sweeter than expected--we were both expecting it to be savory. There seemed to be caramelized sugar in the outside of the pastry, which probably added to the sweetness. I still like it, though it was definitely sweeter than what I'm used to. Red Ribbon's chicken empanada is still my favorite. Later that day before leaving Houston, we came back for the siopao we planned to take home. We finally decided to just buy a couple pieces for ourselves, heat them up in the bakery, and try them fresh. When we saw the price for a four-pack, we were honestly disappointed. It felt expensive for the size. The siopao wasn't huge, and while I like the dough, there wasn't much chicken filling inside. For the portion, taste, and quality, it felt overpriced. Overall, it's probably not worth making another trip back for us. We did enjoy the cassava ube suman, and I like the chicken empanada, but not enough to drive all the way to Houston just for those. If I live nearby, I might come back to try other baked goods, but based on this visit, I'm not sure the rest would impress my palate. I still give them credit for cleanliness and customer service, although we did notice fruit flies on one of the shelves and reported it. The staff was friendly, and the bakery itself was welcoming. At the end of the day, since they're a bakery, the expectation is great-tasting, quality, mouthwatering Filipino breads, pastries ", and kakanin. While some items were enjoyable, overall it just didn't quite live up to the hype for us.
