You get to select your sauce. The honey heat sticky sauce was great with it. I also like the honey smoked bbq sauce. The boudin ball's tasted like REAL TRUE CAJUN BOUDIN BALL'S. I love these even more because every bite was flawless. I didn't have to worry about biting into a gristle or fatty texture that I'll remove. I wouldn't believe that these big boudin ball's were completely vegan if you didn't tell me. Chef Shawn did his thing on the cauliflower tacos. I appreciate allowing me to sample gumbo. And Chef Kerry was amazing at creating the drink menu and thank you so kindly for allowing me and my friend Ron to sample the fried mushrooms. This was my first time visiting Mo Brunch & Brews. It has always been on my list of places to check out and I was happy to finally be able to eat at this restaurant. The ambience is very outdoorsy but calming. There's seating available inside or you can request to be seated outside. The parking lot is fairly small, but they do have plenty of street parking. I highly recommend trying the fried shrooms. The shrooms were my favorite item and the seasonings were mixed perfect. I also ordered the specialty flight pancakes, which were okay. I'm not a huge pancake person, but I couldn't resist trying these out. Additionally, I ordered a cup of the gumbo. Based on the reviews, I thought the gumbo would be well seasoned, but I did have to add a bit more salt. Drinks: The latte was made perfectly! It was such a cute brunch place for the area. I love the concept of the restaurant. Everything for brunch was Soulfood and vegan with dairy substitutes. This is such a trendy idea, and always impressive to have the diversity of options for food diets. We ordered the Boudin balls to share. It came with four balls and it was extremely shareable. The Boudin balls themselves were super flavorful and crispy. The sauce was delicious and I highly recommend. Usually Boudin balls have some sort of meat flavoring, so I was impressed with the substitutions. I feel like Boudin balls as a deep-fried ball of dough in the south are always a good idea though. For my meal, I ordered the truffle mac & cheese. For the truffle mac & cheese, I would say the flavor is pretty tasty. However, the texture was a little bit off. Again, using fully non-dairy substitutions, it was still delicious flavor wise. However, I believe that the "noodles" did not maintain integrity, it was kind of like eating a chowder. Texture wise it was kind of like slurping up a soup. Our server was fantastic, and super friendly and knowledgeable. He recommended certain options and also told us what the top sellers were. Service was fast and he was extremely polite and respectful. The interior of the shop was really cute, probably seats around 20 people inside with a lot of natural lighting and windows. Perfect place for great vegan eats! Came here with friends to enjoy some cool drinks on a hot Summer day in Houston! My only gripe was the restrooms which looked liked they had not been touched in a while, they definitely needed attention. We did arrive close to their closing time, so perhaps cleaning the restrooms was somewhere on their closing task list. Nonetheless, I selected their Iced Latte, initially it was a bit too cinnamon-y, but they were able to fix it for me and it turned out delicious! Shout out to our Server Derrick who was putting in double-triple time with serving our table and others, preparing our drinks, graciously correcting issues with our orders, while having other tasks to handle. I was seriously blown away from start to finish. The inside is on the smaller side, but they do have outside seating and a parking lot. Each server I interacted with was nice and helpful. I started with the Foxy Brown which is a spiked coffee with sake. I was a little nervous but it worked so well. You could still taste the sake and the coffee was well balanced. The hot coffee in the style glass was a little odd but not a deal breaker since it wasn't too hot to touch. The sandwich was amazing! I still can't believe it's vegan. My friend and I went to Mo' Brunch and Brews for brunch, and it was a great spot for her because the menu is 100 percent vegan, with lots of delicious plant-based options to choose from. Our server was a seeetheart, I do not remember her name but she had beautiful locs. My friend was really excited about how many choices she had, and that made me happy too. I got to taste her grits, and while I found them a bit salty for my taste, she absolutely loved them, so that's what matters most when you're eating with someone who follows a specific diet. So, I did the "naughty Elite" thing of inhaling my meal before taking pictures, so sorry, not sorry. LOL! My meal was delicious and I was hangry. I did pickup. Online ordering is easy and they offer a couple of different options for online orders. I found nearby street parking since their parking lot is tiny, and their food is good, so they are always packed. All the food is Vegan here, but any meat lover would also love the food here. Most of the menu is what I call "decadent naughty vegan food." I ordered the Boudain sushi roll and the Shrooms & Grits Flight (so I could sample all 3 sauces). My appetizer and main were awesome! The boudain roll was nicely complimented by the unagi sauce. I wasn't a fan of the remoulade since it was slightly sweet. I'm from Louisiana and not a fan of the slightlty sweet versions of remoulade. The grits were cooked to a perfect creaminess and the "cheeze" sauce (you can add it) was better than any vegan cheese I've tried. The "chik'n fried shrooms" were well seasoned and not the least bit oily. I wasn't a fan of the 3 sauces, but felt that I didn't need them anyway. This dish was perfect without sauce. My only regret is that there is no similar restaurant in Fort Worth. Oh well, like I wrote, this is "decadent naughty vegan food," so I shouldn't be eating it daily anyway. LOL! Most of my food was pretty good. Just took very long to finally get it. The outdoor seating was also very enjoyable. I probably would not come back. Vegan food is good, but half of the foods that its supposed to replicate are fairly different and it throws my taste buds off. I couldnt finish a few items, mostly the the ones with the orange cheese sauce. Maybe had it been used for something else and not cheese sauce maybe I would like it. Also my food took a veey long time. Awkwardly long for grits and a smoothie. When they were maybe at or under half capacity. However I did notice other tables getting their food well before us so maybe it was just our order. 100% vegan menu! We went for brunch a few weeks ago, and I'm still craving their Boulevard Burger. Yes, a bit odd for me to order at 9am, but I wanted to try their version. And let me say, I've had a few cravings since. This classic burger of theirs - topped with caramelized onions, smokey mayo, and cheese - reminded me of the 90s iteration of J&TB Ultimate Double Cheeseburger. That's not a dis... that's a huge compliment. I haven't eaten red meat in almost 10 years, and I miss that specific burger. But Mo' Brunch & Brews took me back! The fries were great too; very crispy. (And they reheated well in the air fryer back home.) The beau had the "lump crab" gumbo (made with lion's mane mushroom); he ate the entire bowl. We also shared the truffle mac (again, made with lion's mane mushroom). Love being able to have some of my favorites, but cruelty free. For brunch, they also featured a mimosa tower; I'll have to try that next time. There are whole food options here, for those who prefer to avoid imitation items, and plenty of imitation items for those who prefer. I have been here once before, and I remember the tacos being fantastic. So, despite being on a whole food kick, I got the brunch tacos again. These are delicious and incredible. You'd never know they were vegan - they're packed with flavor. The "egg" taco is a little on the dry side, but add a little hot sauce and you're set. The pancake flight was amazing - again, you'd never know you're at a vegan spot. The chai latte was tasty, but my partner needed a little more sweet flavor and they quickly provided numerous options to help. We had an amazing experience here for a mid week brunch. I have been meaning to try this place for years and have never made it, and finally did and it did NOT disappoint! We split the açaí bowl and the breakfast tacos and everything was so fresh but also super flavorful. For the tacos, we tried all three! The truffle hash, the sausage and eggs, and the fried mushrooms and hot honey. Of the three, I would HIGHLY recommend trying the mushrooms and hot honey. I'm normally not a big mushroom person, but these were absolutely delicious. If I were to go back I would just get the mushroom tacos honestly, they were THAT good! (And Everything was good). Got the breakfast quesadillas, spinach artichoke dip, smashed papas and gumbo. Definitely a lot of food for two people lol. Grits cooked perfectly and there were 3 different sauces the Cajun and cream sauce were my favorites. My grandson is the vegan in the family so we were just along to try it out. He ordered the ox tail special it was made with rice paper and looked amazing, it was very flavorful but too spicy for me, but he enjoyed it throughly.
