    Donut hole

I don't go to this area often; however, after discovering this spot through a Yelp UYE, I chose to check it out. I ordered a Keto Bowl containing steak together with a mimosa. My food was acceptable, but it did not excite me. Although the steak was good enough, the dish was not memorable at all. I thoroughly enjoyed that mimosa, which was quite good! It was truly a highlight to connect with fellow Yelpers and it always provides a genuinely great time. If I return, I would order something else to see if I prefer a different item. The atmosphere had the feel of an entirely relaxed brunch place and the service was also completely fine.

I was at the same UYE with fellow Yelper Marianne C and some others, and we had a great time getting together. Unfortunately, the food was lacking a bit. My breakfast bowl with grits and sausage was quite plain in presentation, which was a bit surprising. The high point of it was that the grits were well seasoned, which is a rarity, so points there. Unfortunately, the rest of the dish was a little bland, aided only by diner-applied Tabasco. My cappuccino was not very good, either, despite the presence of a capable espresso machine. It seemed watered down and the foam was a little too firm. Also, it was served in a to-go cup, despite my order being for dine-in. Since this is a quick casual restaurant, the service mostly involves the staff bringing the items to the table, and they did well with this. Might try again if I'm in the area, but would hope for a better result next time.

Kitchen 101 is in a great location in Las Colinas. You order at the counter, which for some reason surprised me. They have a large selection. I started off with green tea, even though we ordered breakfast tea. It was good but they served it in a to go cup when we were eating there. Not a big deal but notable. I had the Gyro in a Naan with fries. The potatoes were thinly cut and fried crisp. They were the best thing! The gyros was certainly not made with gyros and not advertised as such. It had shredded meat of some description with lots of veggies. The Naan was chewy in places. This was not a good sandwich and had very little seasoning. Someone ordered donut holes and they were fresh, delicious and we ate those up!! These were very good. There was a race going on, so maybe it had them off their game because I see other really good reviews.

A decent stop if you have to be in the area for business or travel. As a local, I cannot say that it will be a regular stop. I was in the need for a non-fast food breakfast. I had a breakfast bowl with grits, eggs and sausage. It was a savory dish. I added a slice of toast and was pleasantly surprised of its savory buttery flavor too. I'm curious enough to visit again for lunch. I'm told the lunch is prepared on wood fired grill.

    PALEO STEAK SKEWERS

Checked out this very trendy eatery located a bit near the Toyota Factory in Las Colinas when there was a UYE and it was a great spot to try! The steak skewer was wonderfully simple, with a lovely side salad, yet it satisfied me completely. The table thought that the shared order of donut holes was a tasty and fun treat to end the meal. The stylish, welcoming vibe makes it a good choice for a nearby bite. The service was fast but never rushed. Glad to have tried this place.

Rotisserie 1/2 chicken and a side salad

Dinner with a big group. I had the rotisserie chicken. 1/2 chicken and a side salad. It was over cooked or had been cooked a long time ago, But it was seasoned well but like I said it was very dry. Side salad was good.

My mom and I went to this spot specifically because we LOVE artichokes and they had grilled artichokes, unfortunately they didn't have it on their menu anymore. But our cashier Arturo was amazing and great at recommending dishes and being transparent on what he wouldn't recommend. I got the steak skewers and broccolini - steak was PHENOMENAL and came with a chimichurri-like sauce. The broccolini I felt was bland and could use more seasoning. My mom got the Medi Bowl with lamb, which was good but the lamb was cold which wasn't expected. I also got one of the teas, which is good but also very healthy so I added some sweet tea.

Was near the music factory when it started raining and we ducked in here for some breakfast. Wifi is strong and I was able to eat breakfast, warm up with hot tea (only green tea available). The space is very open and quiet and inviting! Staff is super friendly. There is quite the extensive menu but we were only looking to grab some breakfast. We got the breakfast tacos - egg and cheese only with avocado salsa (yum!) on corn tortilla and biscuit sandwich without cheese. It says on the menu that you get (2) tacos but mine came with three! Woot woot! They come out hot on a metal tray with small dipping bowl with salsa. Loved the ambiance and friendly staff. My cup for hot tea was a bit small and since it was cold outside, it lost heat quickly. Next time I will ask for a to go cup. Other than that, great spot for breakfast if you are in the music factory area. Parking was a little tricky, if no spots are open in the front area, you need to go behind under the building parking lot nearby.

    BBQ Pull Pork

The food was subpar, but the service was excellent! Found this place after searching for nearby places to the Irwin Convention Center. It was a little walk, but it was worth it. The food came out fast and was extremely fresh. I ordered the pull pork sandwich with fries. The bun was buttery and delicious. The pork was ok, not seasoned on its own. The BBQ sauce came on the side, a little spicy but good. The fries were absolutely delicious. Had a slice of cheese pizza. It wasn't so great. The cheese was cheesy, but the marinara sauce was flavorless. The pizza had NO SEASONING. Unfortunately, neither did the cauliflower flower bites; although cooked to profection, they were extremely bland. I'm glad I tried it, don't have to return.

Y'all this place is so good I ate here twice in one day! My friends and I competed in a 5K on a Saturday afternoon in the area. We needed somewhere to hang out until our adult field day event later that afternoon so we sat at a table on the patio. After a while we started to get hungry and decided to check out their menu. At the time they were only serving breakfast so I opted for the biscuit sandwich. The food came out so quickly and the sandwich was delicious despite the fact I wasn't a fan of the cheese on the sandwich but I'll have them take it off next time. I also had them give me the K101 butter and used honey and that set it off even more. After leaving we went to compete in our adult field day, by the time we finished it was dinner time. Everyone was hungry so we made our way back to the restaurant to grab dinner. I was torn between the Medí bowl and K101 burger. After seeking advice from the young lady at the checkout counter I opted for the burger and had no regrets! Again the food came out quickly, was the perfect temperature and tasted sooooooo gooood! The bun they use for the burger is delicious and the patties were cooked perfectly. I asked for bbq sauce on the side and received regular bbq sauce along with their liquid gold bbq sauce both very tasty. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant not only because the food is good but because of the service. It is very rare to go into an establishment and have everyone working there be so kind, attentive, and helpful. During dinner one of the mangers , Onix was on the floor, running food and taking care of customers. We called him over to praise the staff and the food and he took the time to tell us about the restaurant and recommended other menu items for us to try on our next visit. He mentioned that the pizzas are really good and when I asked for a sample he brought our table the vegetarian pizza. He wasn't joking the veggies were grilled to perfection and the crust was airy and had a great crunch. This place is amazing and if you are ever in the area you should stop by!

    Avocado Toast and eggs

Man! Where do I begin?! This spot is amazing. I don't know how I've never noticed it at the Toyota Music Factory Plaza. We were in the area for some activities and ended up eating both breakfast and lunch/dinner as well. For breakfast I had the avocado toast and eggs over medium! Both were so good and the eggs were cooked eggsactly like I like it! (You see what I did there ) the woman taking our order was super pleasant and helpful a well! Then for "linner" I had a bowl with lots of veggies. I must admit I was surprised when it came out cold but it was meant to be that way. Ónix, one of the managers, suggested I try a cilantro lime sauce with it which definitely made the dish even better! We also got to try the veggie pizza as well which was SO good! I honestly don't see them having a bad dish on the menu. Everyone loved their food and the service was A1! Easy 5 stars!

    Artichoke Appetizer (1)
    Robert M.

Overall an enjoyable, casual meal. Order at counter and food is brought out to you. Don't go expecting it to be a full service restaurant. Wasn't fully evident what drinks were on happy hour and then ended up getting charged more since "the prices changed from what was on the menu". In their defense, they did comp the wine but then I realized they also removed another "construction discount" I assume to make up for comping the wine. I wasn't sure what the "construction discount" was so I suppose losing it wasn't a big deal. Just wish the happy hour options and pricing were clearer to avoid the confusion. The Cuban sandwich was great. Different from typical Cubans I've had in the past since it had shredded pork and was on (I assume) homemade bread. The artichoke appetizer was good, too.

The staff was amazing and the woman who helped us order was so sweet. Everything was clean and the atmosphere was really laid back but elevated at the same time. Food was awesome and the fries were a huge portion. I also got a strawberry milkshake and let me tell you, I wanted to order another one. Cannot wait to come back here and try new things!

First of all, this place is massive. We both started with the espresso martini before realizing they had a happy hour menu. Our second drink was from the hh menu even though we had no business having a second cocktail. To start, we shared the fried green tomatoes. For whatever reason, we both ended up getting the western burger. Food was great. There was so much of it that I was only able to finish half and ended up taking the rest home. Great service as well. The place was crowded by the time we left. We only planned to stay for 45 minutes, but ended up staying for nearly 2 hours. Big thanks to the bartender. Light, not greasy at all, and that savory sauce on top was yummy: - Wagyu Tomahawk: the star of the show. Loved the peppered crust which was full of flavor. Not a true "Japanese wagyu" texture, but still an excellent steak overall. - Sides (mashed potatoes, fries, broccolini, cornbread): All pretty good across the board. I liked the cornbread the most and wished there was more of it. Usually a side of cornbread is much more substantial and comes with honey butter. - Steak sauce: we ask for a side of this. Whatever they had was unique and great. Fruity and tangy, a great complement to the tomahawk. - Pecan Pie: look at the photo! A huge, tall slice. No notes. Loved the dense ice cream on top. Perfect way to end the meal. Overall: no critiques, just an all-around great dinner. Definitely recommend the tomahawk and pie.

My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Tupelo Honey is a stand-alone restaurant conveniently located near Hwy 114 and 161. There's plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and a mixture of tables, booths, and bar seating. Speaking of the bar, it acts as a beautiful backdrop for the entire restaurant. 1 Star. Service - The service is always friendly. Our server is always smiling, and I can't help but feel welcome with southern charm. Tupelo Honey trains its staff well, and I really enjoy coming here and interacting with the staff. 1 Star. Food - I always begin with the Biscuits with a Cause. These light, flakey biscuits are served warm with a crispy exterior and soft, flakey inside. But honestly, the biscuits act as a delivery mechanism for the butter and blue berry jam. I always ask for an extra side of butter and jam because I use it all. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Honey Dusted Fried Chicken (dark). The chicken was perfectly fried, crispy, and sweet. And the dark meat was juicy. Pro Tips - use your hands. Another great dish was experienced. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I have yet to have a below average dish at Tupelo Honey. Yes, it's a chain. But it's also a darn good chain that keeps its menu fresh and is worth multiple visits. 1 Star.
