Overall, we are highly satisfied with the finished secondary bathroom project. A couple of minor issues were addressed: a water leak from the faucet and a detached water supply cover plate behind the toilet. Both were fixed the same day. Shannon was our bathroom designer. She brought our ideas to life, helping us select materials, colors, and finishes that worked best for our space. Justin was an excellent Project Manager, a strong communicator, and a humble, approachable young man. He updated us and tracked project progress daily, from start to finish. Emre and his dad are excellent multi-trade workers. These two gentlemen did all the hard labor--demolition, plumbing, flooring, and painting. They always communicated well, provided recommendations, and asked for our preferences. Great job, gents! Room for Improvement: - Delayed start date due to the final approval process for materials. - Daily arrival times varied, but once the skilled trade workers arrived, they worked non-stop. Note: Although the start was delayed, the team finished the project in just 7 business days instead of the initially estimated 2.5 weeks. read more

I visited their showroom, had a pleasant experience, and scheduled a free in-home consultation for a kitchen renovation. The designer came to my home, took measurements, and we had several conversations about the project. She appeared knowledgeable, had a great personality, and seemed to have a good vision for the space. During our last discussion, she told me she would call me back within a few hours so we could explore the next steps. Unfortunately, I never heard back from her. I understand that things can come up, but communication and follow-through are important in any business relationship. Based on this experience, I can't recommend a business that doesn't follow through with potential customers. read more

Our experience with The Bath Shop had both frustrating lows and ultimately a strong recovery. At the beginning, everything felt promising. Cat, the designer, was fantastic to work with--knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to communicate with. We were pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were able to get on the schedule, and at that point, we felt confident we had chosen the right company. Unfortunately, once the work began, it became clear that the quality of the initial installation was not acceptable. The shower pan did not drain properly, the original 20-year-old liner was not replaced, and there were a number of cut corners that raised serious concerns. It was disappointing, especially given the cost and our expectations going into the project. That said, what truly turned the experience around was how the company handled these issues. Aaron and Noah stepped in and responded in a very professional and accountable way. They took our concerns seriously and committed to making things right. A new crew was brought in, and the difference was night and day. The second crew was professional, efficient, and clearly took pride in their work. They redid the project properly, addressed all previous issues, and delivered a final result that we are genuinely happy with. While the process had its hiccups, the company's willingness to stand behind their work and correct mistakes restored our confidence. In the end, we are very pleased with the finished bathroom and appreciate the effort it took to get there. read more

Final update: the bathroom project was completed in December of 2023, mostly to my satisfaction. However, I have had to request that a few items be addressed since then - some of which are still ongoing. Water continues to leak from below the shower curb, which is delaying installation of new flooring. Only one of the two light switches works consistently, and the other only works to turn the vanity light off. The shower valve trim and handle squeak and rattle back and forth when used. The vanity top is scratched on the left side where the side and back splashes had to be removed after they were added in error. The new project manager also pressured me to change or remove my negative Google and Yelp reviews after the new crew began work but before the project was completed, which I felt could have been better handled by at least waiting until the work was done. I wish that the tile around the shower niche had been cut with a wet saw because the edges are still somewhat jagged. I also wish that KBS had communicated to me that they were facing scheduling setbacks before work could resume on my project instead of leaving me to fear the worst and contact their corporate HQ. An occasional text message or email status update would have gone a long way and I would have been understanding. Despite these issues, the work that the new crew did was much improved over the previous crew. The result was good, but not great. read more

It has been about three years since we had our bathroom remodeled. It was a fiasco from beginning to end. We lost a lot of money in this investment and sadly, we can't afford a redo. We saved a long time for this remodel only to have it turn out mediocre to terrible in parts. It took about 6 months for the workers to complete the job because they came at will. Often times they said they were coming to work and never did. COVID entered the scene and that didn't help for sure. The subcontractors were a disaster and while we were told they were licensed, I seriously doubt that they were. Once issues started to emerge, I tried to call the guy who took the initial sale and helped design the area; He just about never responded. He was totally useless after the project started. A new manager came onto the scene and things improved somewhat. He tried to rectify some of the serious concerns. However, there are still areas that were not addressed. The shower installation is totally crooked. I hate it. Language was a barrier for communication purposes with workers. There needs to be one person who can speak fluently in order to get the messages of concern and directions straight. Fast forward to the present, every time I step into the bathroom I find myself frustrated with all the areas that need to be corrected. OveralI, I would give the work a D+ in quality and workmanship. In retrospect, I DEEPLY regret going with this place. Buyers, "Do your homework" is all I can say. I hope this prevents someone else from getting very little for a huge price that will be paid. Perhaps this business has improved. One can only wish. For us, the whole experience was a nightmare. read more

The biggest problem was lack of communication. our renovation was supposed to start June 5. We waited and no one showed up. When we called, we were told they had a major shake up in management. It happens, but the fact that they didn't inform us that it would be delayed? there was a history of emails and phone calls not returned, workmen not showing up as we were told (an hour or 2 late), or someone showing up at 7pm unannounced! The end result was mostly satisfactory but the project never started until July 27! They installed a medicine cabinet with a chipped mirror, there was a chip in one of the floor tiles, the toilet leaked, a piece came out of the sink overflow, etc. They were all corrected eventually, but the process was tedious to say the least. for the duration, we were without the use of the bathroom for nearly 2 months. We are still waiting to get the warranty information, care guides, etc. And to add insult to injury, we offered a $150 reduction in the price if we would leave a good review! read more

I went into this establishment on a Saturday afternoon & a man walked up to me & I started to advise what I was looking for, meanwhile he started to make a phone call to another man for me to advise what I wanted. The man on the phone told me to look around, fill out the paper with what I wanted & he would contact me. I tried to ask to 2 men I. The store simple questions and they could not understand anything I was asking & just tried handing me a clipboard with this paper for me to fill out. If they can't have a salesperson in the store that can't help then why are they there??? I have no clue how they stay in business. read more

The review we left online depicted our exact experience. The fact that your project manager called us several times after it was posted, asking us to reconsider the review says a lot about your company's integrity. With that said, let me dissect your rebuttal. Yes, my husband and I decided to change the tiles to go all the way up to the ceiling. It is my impression that this was not a problem because your project manager and your designer were both aware of the changes and agreed to it. At the end of the day we wanted to make sure we LOVED our kitchen and this was an easy modification. But it DOES NOT take away the fact that your contractor busted one of the tiles when he installed our hood, without telling us about it, and proceeded to install the hood. As for us purchasing the "wrong tiles," this is INCORRECT. The tiles were purchased by my husband after your project manager and designer FAILED to update us on when the tiles would be done. For your information, the tiles were not even enough to finish the original plan of going up to the cabinets. We were told that the tiles were being "ordered" and that was the reason for the delay. After looking at Home Depot, the EXACT tiles were available which we purchased just so we can get your guys to come out and finish the job. We received no feedback from your project manager or designer regarding the status and when we finally heard back, your guys all of a sudden had the tiles "in stock." The purchased tiles in question were actually the tiles installed for the remainder of the project and they were EXACTLY THE SAME. We were told to go ahead and purchase the tiles (See text screenshot). As a matter of fact, your guys used 10 of the tiles we purchased along with what they brought in. I think the issue here was the lack of people to finish the job, not the material. Now, as for the cabinets, if your definition of "minor issue" is having your client wait an entire 3 weeks to get replacements, that again, tells us a lot about your company's integrity. This was supposed to be a 4-5 week renovation and we did not get our kitchen back until beginning of week 8. We understand that things happen and may get damaged with shipping but your company's LACK of communication and updates is unbelievably poor. How do you explain the fact that we did not receive a single call about the initial demo day being postponed?? We waited all day for someone to show up and the way we found out it was not going to happen was after we called your designer. As for us "not complaining" about the mistakes and damage, that is also INCORRECT. My husband literally pointed out the issues to your project manager one by one but all he wanted was the last check because the kitchen was "complete." At the same time this was happening, your contractors were still literally installing the missing cabinet panels. We were told that we had to sign the completion document and turn in the final check because of your "policy." I had the impression that the job is not considered complete until your client is satisfied. Since your contractors scratched up our brand new floors, dinged our hood, and broke the glass tile, we did not feel confident in having them correct anymore "minor details," including touch up on the cabinets. Our kitchen is functional but by NO MEANS is it completed. The cabinet trims were not installed, the broken tile was not fixed, the newly-painted walls had scuff all over, my new kitchen drapes got dirty, my brand new LVP flooring were scratched up, the electric plates are all crooked, the junction box and outlet under the sink was left laying on the cabinet floor, instead of being installed on the cabinet wall, which is a HUGE safety issue. Long story short, your company committed false advertisement by claiming you do not outsource contractors. The workers who came to my house were NOT professionals by any means, given the quality of the work done. No one spoke enough English for us to verbalize our concerns. The one person who understood some English never answered his phone (your designer). Your company failed to preserve its integrity by asking us for the last check and making my husband sign off on the reno before completion. Instead of someone from corporate reaching out to us, you post a rebuttal of my experience online. My review stands and I hope no one else goes through what we went through. It was a $41,000 mistake. We contracted Kitchen and Bath January 2022. We paid for new kitchen cabinets, kitchen island, flooring and to remove a load bearing wall and replace with appropriate beams (to code). First off, they never permitted the wall removal (structural), plumbing or electrical (illegal). The crew they used was always late, never on time and utilized 2-3 different people on every major remodel (structural/electrical/flooring). The electrical and flooring literally had 2-3 different contractors start and stop the project which caused major confusion with wiring etc..Fast forward, I started noticing a lot of creaking on the upstairs subfloor and 45 degree cracks on my doors. I put a laser on the load bearing beam (lvl) AND NOTICED A 4-5 INCH SAG in my living room. We also noticed the floor LVP coming loose, cracks in the ceiling, unlevel floor etc... Kitchen and bath came out with the CEO and promised to fix everything (a big list). It's now 26 Sep and still nothing has been fixed. My living room has been unusable since Feb 2023 with large openings directly into the crawl space... Our couch etc has been left in our kitchen collecting dust. We were told that a crew from northern virginia would be showing up today with the structural beam and nothing... I've taken off work and my family has rearranged their schedule so many times. We are a military family and have fully been taken advantage of. What an absolute nightmare! This review is coming from a customer that is usually very understanding and easy to work with. It takes a lot to submit a review like this but honestly I'm fed up..... A remodel is stressful enough, let alone horrible work, bad communication and destroying your largest investment. read more
