We ordered 16, pre-assembled Forevermark brand, Brownstone (stained; not painted) cabinets for our kitchen remodel, working with Carmie. SHE was fabulous to work with!! We paid exactly 50% less than the orange box quoted us for the same exact, all wood cabinet design, including crown and light rail and all necessary accessories (no knobs/pulls). The installed cabinets, crown and light rail are gorgeous. Well made and sturdy; no pressboard. Holds granite well. Overall, though, you'd better have some craftsman DIY skills and/or a good installer if you choose to order with KCK or any on-line cabinet retailer. So, here's why 4 stars and not 5 stars: 1. The 30" base cabinet for the island came with it's back severely damaged. Like a forklift had rammed into it. Marked it on the shipper's BOL as directed and notified Carmie immediately. KCK doesn't REPLACE the cabinet; only the part that's broken or damaged. (This is most likely a manufacturer issue). Carmie ordered the part we needed; it came in two weeks (held up island & therefore, granite install). We received an entire back, however it was NOT drilled to receive the drawer slides! If we didn't have tools and a knowledge of building/craftsmanship, we'd've had to hire someone to fix the damaged cabinet (read: added cost!). Points off for that issue. 2. A base cabinet fluted style filler was missing when the order arrived. Again, a manufacturer issue I'm assuming. Marked on BOL again, Carmie sent us one, again in two weeks. 3. This one is irritating because it adds cost: We will have to buy and install a completely new set of hinges for the 36" lazy susan/corner base cabinet door. The ones installed by the manufacturer simply will NOT adjust and the door will not close correctly as it's off level/adjustment. Poor quality hinges and install by the manufacturer. HIGHLY FRUSTRATING!!!! 4. We ordered a trash can 'accessory' for an 18" base cabinet. It fits perfectly, however, the instructions are horrible. They are only drawings; no written instructions. NO way to determine what goes where. If you don't know the difference between a metal screw and a wood screw, then, well, you'd be 'screwed' in how the thing goes together. There are brackets that attach the can-slider unit to the door but no instructions on how to attach it to the sliding unit OR the door! NONE of the holes in the door bracket are marked. Screws are thrown in a bag all mixed together with the drawings. Took 45 minutes to do what should've been a 10 minute or less job. Nothing is marked as to what goes where. Again, this will add cost to a purchaser's budget IF the purchaser is not a DIY craftsman. The rolling trays come separately and uninstalled. The purchaser/installer must install them. However, you also get 'stationary' shelves if you order the rolling trays, which gives options in a pantry cabinet OR to use elsewhere. Really not a reason for the minus 1 star, just an FYI for others. Would we order again? Yes. The customer service and the price for our 15' x 12', 'L' shaped, centered-island kitchen was fabulous. The shipping company (XPO Logistics), not so good..3 stars (seemed to be put out by residential deliveries). The manufacturer's resolutions to damaged goods and installation instructions, frustrating to say the least. We'd recommend KCK for EXPERIENCED DIY home remodelers or those who have an experienced installer on retainer. Also, recommend getting the can of stain and repair kit..don't install without them. read more

Total 18 Newport Cabinets - base and wall My experience with Kitchen Cabinet Kings was EXCELLENT. I placed my order on a Saturday and all 18 cabinets were delivered within 4 business days with FREE shipping. The cabinets arrived without any damages. Kitchen Cabinet Kings responded immediately to two problems that I reported regarding a cabinet door and a cabinet drawer. * I would use Kitchen Cabinet Kings again. * I would recommend Kitchen Cabinet Kings to others. However, the Ready-to-Assemble cabinets I purchased were made by the company called LessCare in Shanghai, China. "LessCare" is a very appropriate name - they were made with very little care - Less care than most other companies. Below are the deficiencies: * One drawer face was mounted crooked - impossible to straighten or reposition screws. * Some cabinets were delivered with broken camlocks. * Plywood layers in cabinet walls separated causing structural weakness in the cabinets. Some separations occurred before delivery and some occurred during assembly. * Severely warped wall cabinet backs - making it extremely difficult to assemble and also compromising the integrity of the cabinet structure. * The poor-quality camlocks were not adequate to secure the sides and backs of wall cabinet. I had to install special cabinet screws and install quarter-round molding (nailed and glued) to secure the bottoms and tops to the sides. * The design of the doors (too wide) prevent some adjoining cabinet doors from opening at the same time. This problem can NOT be overcome by adjustments to the door hinges. * Below is a sample of the unacceptable quality (usefulness and readability) of the assembly instructions - obviously written by someone who cannot read or write English. The language of the instructions makes absolutely no sense - just gibberish in many cases. The text below is extracted directly from the instructions provided. Step 1 (base) "Aims at on the side panel on fastener and the back panel fastener inserts afterwards, ..." Step3 (wall) "The door open, on the frame fastener aims at on the side panles the fastener, and ......" Step 4 (base) "Aims at on the side panels after the facade in fastener the fastener inserts, ......" I would NOT purchase LessCare cabinets again. I would NOT recommend LessCare cabinets others. read more

Ordered the Ice White Shaker cabinets, and I love them! We had gotten quotes from 3 different "local" people, independent and box stores, all of the quotes came in between 12-18K for cabinets alone. All of the upgrades of painted, plywood sides, undermount soft close drawers and soft close doors really added to their quotes. After many hours of online research and possibly an ulcer too, I decided on Kitchen Cabinet Kings. Our cabinets came in at $5700 with free shipping and within the 2 week time frame. My husband was able to put them together very easily in 2 days, we only had 1 end shelf that was flawed. A few pictures emailed and we had the replacement end shelf within 2 weeks. We added basic formica counter tops, custom lighting and an awesome sink, we have a amazing kitchen for under 10K. And the local people said it couldn't be done, granted we did all of the work ourselves. But I love how the drawers slide and stay on track(we've used off the shelf cabinets from Lowes in a rental and they are always breaking) and the soft close doors. The one thing I am not crazy about is the 33 inch lazy susan, it waste a ton of space and the door is so narrow that we are unable to even put a large pot in there. We actually took out the susan part and put in a stationary shelf in order to utilize the space better. Other than that I would reorder in a heart beat! read more

After checking the website and having reservations i decided to pull the trigger anyways and give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The cabinets arrived in one week (from our normal vendor a rush delivery is 3 weeks) The were sturdy and put together well. I recently installed my second set of Kitchen Cabinet King. I have rental property that I wanted to install very durable cabinets in at a cost effective price. I have looked everywhere and decided that I can't beat the construction, fit and finish of their cabinets. I bought the second set unassembled; the assembly was remarkably quick and the fit was spot on. The backs and sides are made of my higher quality materials then the particle-board products at Home Depot. KCK is a great distribution system. Website is easy to use and understand. Wouldn't mind seeing a bit more education on the best practices of Cabinet selection. i.e. Crown molding, refrigerator panel, etc. However, their design team is good and very responsive. We did notice a couple of problems. There were a few defective pieces on the interior assembly parts. Easily fixed not even worth bringing up to KCK. We have also noticed a couple chipped corners as far as the paint goes. We will be keeping on eye on those. All in all a great product for the price paid. read more

We ordered the Shakertown style cabinets. Delivery time was reasonable and the savings were great. As long as you take time and care assembling them, you can't tell the difference between these RTA cabinets, and ones you'd find at a kitchen center. The website was easy to navigate and the option to save a shopping carts was great as we were going through the planning process of our remodel.
