His workers were very professional and thorough on the job; they arrived on time, they cleaned up before they left for the day, and their final product is absolutely......PICTURE-PERFECT! It's been a year now since our remodel and we are still extraordinarily happy with the results. Ammar was a great person to work with and really knew his design stuff! He wasn't afraid to say that something would not work out or look good, which was what we needed. His estimate was spot on and the additional items we wanted were very reasonably priced. Every time we walk into our house, we almost have to pinch ourselves at how beautiful everything is. We had the kitchen and dining room completely remodeled and had new floor and baseboards through out. KCE also removed a fake fireplace and put in a new hearth to our real one. The stairs he added completely changed the dynamic of the house and that room is beautiful and useful. There were a few items that we found (patches, slight mis-alignment of cabinets, etc, which honestly I wish KCE had noticed before we did), but he changed and fixed everything we asked them to with no push back at all. We got three bids to remodel our kitchen and master bedroom as well as update two fireplaces. We decided to go with KCE (not sure why they choose this name because they do it all). Buck came to our home, we talked to him about our design and he took the measurements. Claudia was our main designer and she did a great job in designing everything and even made suggestions and changes based on what would be best and she was right! The demo started, guys got right to work and was done with that part in no time. I was super excited at the speed they were working at. Things were not perfect and I considered giving 4 stars but what construction job is perfect? :) The not so perfect part came down to the installation of the kitchen. It took longer than expected to start due to Adam getting sick. He did the initial install but it was completed by someone else and I think that's where a lot of our issues were outside of dealing with continuous dust :) However, Amar did a great job of stepping in to make sure we were 100% satisfied in the end. So, at the end of the day we are very happy and would use them again! FYI, George on the construction team was an outstanding worker and always cleaned up at the end of the day! Went with KCE for a remodel of our home in Newport Coast this past winter/spring after considering a number of other contractors and we are thrilled with the results. Bashar came out for the initial consultation at our house and we met him at their showroom on a couple occasions to finalize design and materials. After over a year of trying to ignore it I just simply cannot do it anymore. My intention was to just let it go since it is not worth my time and serves no productive purpose but I just simply have to say something. I wrote a negative review based on what was a very unprofessional experience in my opinion. We had several conversations since where repeatedly no matter how civil the tone of the conversation all the owner could do is refute every possibility that he did anything wrong or that he is every capable of doing anything wrong. The reason I am writing this now is that he has repeatedly updated his response almost daily, weekly, and monthly as he feels up to it. I suspect it gives his reviews a refresh and makes his post appear fresh when it is not the first reply but the 20th time he's replied to the same review back from March of 2014. I don't understand the obsession with this guy on trying so hard to "appear" or "look" professional when my first hand experience clearly indicates otherwise. Don't you think your energy is better spent actually doing better quality work and performing more ethical services and advertising? By the way, I can't recall the last time I saw an ad from your business. It's a little harder when you get called out on promises you can't deliver I guess. Absolutely amazing. Our kitchen was done on time and everyone who came to work on our house was an absolute professional. All questions were answered before, during, and after the work was done. All promises were kept. No muss no fuss. This was our second major kitchen remodel as we had the kitchen on our first house remodeled also. For that project, we used Kraftmade from the big box store and an independent contractor. Hands down Kitchen Cabinets Express was head and shoulders better in quality, skill, and efficiency. My wife and I purchased a 2+1 "cottage" in Laguna Woods Village, in November 2015. Even though we definitely wanted 2 bathrooms, the view was spectacular so we decided to invest in a bathroom split as well as a full kitchen remodel. We found Kitchen Cabinets Express through the owners of a short-term rental unit that we were in at the time. KCE had done their kitchen; we thought the quality was exceptional and the owner urged us to consider them. The owner, Ammar, was totally professional. He first visited our newly-acquired property, to get a look at the property and to take measurements. Next we visited their impressive showroom in Buena Park. In addition to being a general contractor specializing in kitchens and bathrooms, it turned out Ammar also had a degree in Interior Design. As I am in the design business, it was really good to tap into his expertise throughout the creative process. He patiently lead us through the options, offering insightful and appropriate suggestions along the way. We eventually decided on creating a new master en-suite with a sexy little powder room conveniently located for our guests. We also needed to relocate a washer/dryer and the water heater, as well as create two new closets in the master bedroom. It was not the best timing to start the project, the holiday season unfolding, but KCE's crew was excellent and we handled the myriad of HOA and city-imposed challenges as they came up. Our cabinets were falling apart and our dishwasher died. We had been putting it off but we decided it was time for a kitchen remodel. So what do people who have no idea how to design a new kitchen do? We went on the Houzz website and watched a lot of Flip or Flop. One month later, we were even more confused! We had some vague ideas but there were just too many details to try to figure out. We interviewed 3 different contractors. We agreed on one but he never called us back. So rude! My wife had spoken with a coworker who was very happy with her kitchen remodel so we decided to give Ammar a try. He is the owner of Kitchen Cabinet Express. We called him and set up an appointment. He arrived on time. He listened to our ideas and with his design experience, he told us what would work and what would not. He took measurements and gave us a packet that included directions to his store, his credentials, license, work comp insurance, Better Business Bureau rating, etc. We set up another appointment at his store 1 week later. First impression of Ammar. Professional. We arrived at his store. He made a computer design of our kitchen to give an idea where things would go. We gave him our input and he adjusted the design. We then walked around his store and picked out samples. There was so many different options. Ammar took our ideas and narrowed down the choices. It was nice to be able to put the floor tile next to the counter top material and the wall color to see how they all meshed. He let us know if we pick this counter top color then these are your options for backsplash, floor tile, etc. It made the whole process of designing the kitchen much easier and the end result is much more cohesive. We then sat down with the design choices and drew up a contract and he gave us the total cost of the project. It was within our budget so we were happy. We signed the contract and he gave us an idea when the project would start. Love the one stop shop. The construction was performed by different crews. There was separate crews for the tile, cabinets and paint. The majority of the day to day work was done by George and Jose. They were great. They were very respectful. They were quiet. They got stuff done quickly. They also made adjustments on the build out when we requested it. They also cleaned up the job site each day before they left. We appreciated this because we have 3 little kids in the house and I worried about them getting hurt. We had no safety issues during the construction. During this process, we kept in constant communication with Ammar via text and emails. He would also come visit the job site each week to review the progress, answer our questions and pick up his check =). Ammar had guaranteed us that the project would be finished in less than 8 weeks. We finished in a little over 7 weeks. We decided to also have him paint the rest of the first floor outside of the kitchen (this was added after the initial contract was drawn). The only minor issue we had during this whole project was the paint color of the rest of the first floor. We told Ammar about this and he had his paint crew out the next day to repaint. Problem fixed. Concluding thoughts. 1)Did he complete the project within our budget? Yes. 2) Did he start and finish on time? He started 2 weeks later than expected but he finished on time. I had major water damage at my house and had to tear out the ceilings, walls, and entire kitchen. I did alot of research on different contractors and got multiple bids on the work. Ultimately, we decided to go with Kitchen Cabinets Express as it was clear Ammar knew what he was doing and he had several great suggestions that we did not think of. He was also very reasonable from a pricing stand point. Overall we are VERY happy with our decision and would not hesitate to use KCE/Ammar should we do any more remodeling. Service - Unlike a previous contractors we used, Ammar was very true to his word and delivered timely on all his promises. It probably helps that everyone he uses is an employee (not a subcontractor like most others) and therefore he has more control. Everyone that showed up did a fantastic job in terms of coming in timely, getting things done on time and cleaning up before leaving. Ammar always checked in and ensured the work is also up to his standard. He was also very accessible and always made himself available for any issues. We were extremely pleased from a service standpoint. Quality - Having been around many remolding projects, it was clear to me that everyone Ammar sent us knew what they were doing. This was also evident in the quality of the finish. The soft-close antique white cabinets we got look amazing along with our new backsplash. It's about time, I write a review about Kitchen Cabinets Express. I am so in love with my moms house. My mom had her whole house remodeled, which was in dire need of it. My mom hesitated to go forward with this big project due to the complications that could occur.. She has heard a lot of horror stories, so you can imagine her concerns. Also my mom is older and didn't have the energy to deal with all the checking in, etc. involved as one has to do when remodeling. So I told her I'll take care of that.. I agreed to stay with her for the duration of the project. At first, she only wanted to remodel her kitchen, even though she needed to do much more than that.. But after she experienced doing business with KCE remodeling her kitchen. She had complete comfort and confidence having KCE remodel the rest of her house. She was so excited, so was I. I had the pleasure of dealing with the workers that worked on my mom's house and the owner. They clearly know what they're doing. They were so kind to us, attentive to all our concerns, respectful. My wife and I were on a "Mission Remodel" to complete a remodel of our new home that we recently purchased. We were excited to find a home that had the architecture and layout that we were looking for. However, there were also features of the home that could use improvement and we saw great potential in making our new home a reflection of us as a family. It was a long process and hats off to Ammar and his crew who had to deal with not one, but two perfectionists, yours truly Mr. & Mrs. Kim and this isn't even including Ammar and his team which would make it 3 plus! My parents' review: My husband and I waited many years to remodel our house of 28 years. A colleague of my son-in-law referred us to Ammar at Kitchen Cabinet Express. After reviewing our old kitchen and bathroom, Ammar amazed us with his ability to quickly come up with a plan. He redesigned the sink area by adding a bar counter with overhead pendant lights and more counter space. The cabinets are all soft close with pull out drawers. We noticed immediately that Ammar was very knowledgeable and skilled. We relied on him to know what was best in order to have a more up-to-date remodel with quality cabinets, flooring, and good color selection and he didn't disappoint! We also added recessed lighting and had the entire lower floor painted. Laminate replaced carpet, tile replaced linoleum, and the fireplace was retiled. Ammar came during the demolition at least twice a week to check on the progress of the remodel and to answer our many questions. The crew was hard working, always on time, and personable. They did a good job of cleaning up at the end of each day. They worked tirelessly and our remodel was finished in less than the eight weeks that was promised. Had a great experience working with Bashar and Fransico on my kitchen and master bathroom. Time was a factor for me, and Bashar and Fransico proved that they could be trusted to meet all the agreed to terms and got the job done ahead of schedule! We had such a great experience with KCE! They did a TOTAL home renovation. Not one thing was untouched in our home and it all came out amazing! They finished the entire job in 2 months which is quite shocking alone! The quality of their work so amazing and Ammar did an BEAUTIFUL job designing each room with careful attention to details. The fact that he has a design center where you can go and physically see all the materials in one place is so convenient and allows you to really see the vision. We complemoved our kitchen to another location in our house and we couldn't be happier with our new layout and the flow. We loved our crew we had and will genuinely miss seeing them everyday. After shopping around for a few months for a company to use for our remodel we met with Ammar the owner of Kitchen Cabinets Express and decided to go with his company. We were highly impressed by his knowledge and suggestions he provided for a full kitchen and bathroom remodel. Ammar and his employees were professional and extremely curtious. Never once did I have an issue with him or his employees. The moment they came to our home they were there to work and get the job done. Ammar was great at communicating the remodel process. He gave us a rough timeline of the steps and process. He worked great with our City Planning department to get the job done up to code. He always spoke to us professionally and kept us always in the loop of our remodel process. I enjoyed working with him. I loved that I worked with one company to get the job done. I had to get walls taken down, plumbing and electrical done. Everything was done up to code and my husband and I were extremely impressed and extremely satisfied with the work that was done.
