I made it home safely and even though I never used the grill before, our 4th of July party was a success. Love the new Saber grill and Sam's service! Prices are higher than online for parts but I like supporting a local business. Second rating is for Traeger. I've owned three and my latest one has extreme quality issues. Owned for less than four years, but it has had numerous issues, often arising in the middle of a cook. This one is sheltered and used medium to lightly and I've had to replace several hot rods, had pellet fires in the BBQ because of malfunctions and now the fan doesn't work despite replacing the fan. Traeger rubs and sauces are mediocre compared to store bought, homemade, or other product. I'm afraid Traeger's good days are gone apparently due to some business decisions. Luckily there are other pellet grills and smoker out there, hopefully better quality and more reliable.

Bought one of their most expensive gas fireplaces from Travis Industries. The unit was not…read moreproperly vented when it was installed and Lisac's and Travis both refuse to come out and fix it. Tried to use it one time, just for ambiance but after about 45 minutes my carbon monoxide detectors went off and the fire department had to come out and vent out my house in the middle of winter. I was told by the fire department TVF&R not to use this again until it is properly vented, I called Travis and they told me I need to burn the fireplace for at least an hour to break it in, I told him (think his name was Mark) that it gives off carbon monoxide and he told me I needed to open a window. Of course you probably won't survive! Prior to that incident, Lisac sent out three different techs to fix the unit. Each worked for a couple of hours moving things around and opening and closing vents but never got the unit to do what it supposed to do. This unit is advertised as heating 3,000 square feet, but mine you'd have to lean against the glass to even know it was on. Spoke with Scott at Lisac and he had no interest in getting my fireplace to work, acted like it wasn't their fault or concern. So, here I am with a beautiful and very expensive fireplace that is not good for much of anything. Thank you Lisac's and Travis Industries. Stay clear of both of these companies, there are plenty of other really good fireplace shops and fireplace manufacturers, you don't have to settle ones that just don't care.

So I was happy to see Ace Hardware & Paint renovate the space and so far it has a good selection and tremendously nice and helpful employees. Having a complete hardware store (rather than the hit or miss Historic General Store) fits a need that was missing in our community. It turns out I was their first paint customer and I picked up several sample pints of Clark + Kensington Paint ($4.99/sample). They also stock Valspar. They have a 'paint expert' and a few other employees learning the ropes. I also picked up a few other household items, including a replacement coffee pot and the price was less than Fred Meyer. The store is bursting with merchandise, so much so that some of their stock is spilling out on the front patio. Although the location is light and bright, especially the floor to ceiling windows along the paint section, it feels a bit cramped with narrow aisles. It is a nice touch to have a complimentary coffee and soda bar (Pepsi products) for customers and a tool chest filled with candy for the kids.

They want to make sure you get into just what you are looking for and he worked with our budget and (lack of) knowledge of owning a Wood Stove. Our construction was delayed and they were accommodating at getting the installation date set. Paige has followed up with us several time in the past three months since our purchase. I so enjoy a shopping experience where I don't feel pressured.
