Cin a bun pancakes sausage scrambled eggs and home fries
    Amanda H.

Was in Carolina Beach this weekend and wanted to grab breakfast. We stopped in at Brunches. We were greeted and seated quickly. This is a casual brunch spot with good food and amazing mimosa's. Apparently I forgot to do a review from my last soo there so this will be a combo review. The first stop in a couple of months ago I got the all-American breakfast with the cin-a-bun pancakes which came with your meat of.choice eggs and home fries. During this visit I ordered a platter that came with your choice of breakfast meat, eggs your way, and tots with a biscuit. I also ordered a side of gravy. When the food was delivered I asked for my side of gravy. The server point it out and it was only a little 2 oz cup of gravy at best, definitely not enough for a biscuit of that size. I asked for more gravy and the waitress brought it out promptly. Now let me just say when you order a mimosa here you get a huge glassful. Previously my friends and I ordered all different flavors while this time I ordered a pineapple mimosa with a shot of pineapple vodka in it. This glass was massive and it was strong. Great spot to grab brunch and a very tasty drink.

cranberry mimosa, biscuits & gravy, apple juice, and classic breakfast with the jalapeno grits

Obviously had to try this place during brunch on Sunday! Noticed they have mimosa drinks in a few flavors, so hubby got the cranberry. Not bad, but the OG drink would probably be best. Hubby ordered the biscuits and gravy, and I got the classic breakfast, with the fried jalapeno grits. And honestly, the star was the grits! Who knew adding jalapeno to grits would be so delicious! I will say this place can get very loud during a busy time, so FYI. Otherwise, the space is decent and simple. 4/10 - I would only come back for the grits, sorry not sorry

One of my besties was celebrating the end of a job by enjoying her one day of unemployment so two of us took her to Brunches and the beach! Our waitress, Sydney, was so awesome- once she realized we were out celebrating, she made sure we had a blast. It was a perfect day out, so we sat on the outside patio for lunch. We ordered the mimosa tower (it's MASSIVE) and she kept bringing us flights of different juices to enjoy with it. Among us we had two different hibachi bowls and the notorious BLT, all of which were super delicious and very filling. Having the BLT on a croissant is perfection! Then Sydney happened to mention that you can get TO-GO mimosas! Obviously, we took several of them with peach juice instead of orange to go enjoy at the beach. Awesome time!

Customer service wise: Easy walk in and sit for a late lunch. Lots of staff standing around but we've been seated for 15 min waiting for a drink order. Tons of young hostesses and wait staff you'd think they'd come over by now. One at least was sweeping and cleaning so that's good. Interior: bar area with high tables and stools. Separately there is a room with bunch of booths great to seat up to 6 to 10. An entire back overflow room with mixed seating for high tables and low. They can accommodate crowds so it's great for its location. Wait staff: very nice. Dealt with the ADHD younger one really good and his 'when heart met sally' style ordering (eg: remove the ice from water and lemon on side) ha. Food: little ordered the all American kids brunch and opted for a side of fruit. I ordered the recharge bowl. Praying it's not salty like the Mayfair one so this is take 2. For those that hate spicy: The recharge bowl is VERY spicy. Not just a bit or a kick- this is burn from the tongue through your intestines spicy and to glasses of water later that peanut sauce is going to linger into next week. The little ate everything and loved the pancake because it was not 'mushy' and had a little crunch. Eggs are the artificial kind but the serving was pretty good size. Drinks: we didn't do drinks today and stuck with water. Next time we return we will try a speciality drink (or 2). We will be back for quick meals here and there but I think I'll stick to breakfast and or burgers. Ha

Amazing! They have such a variety of options, there's something for everyone. Our server was fantastic! We got two mimosa flights (they're known for the mimosas. A regular mimosa has half a bottle of champagne- as it should) this is a great place to watch the Thursday fireworks because they have a rooftop deck and they do half priced hibachi on Thursdays too. I don't think anything you get would be bad. Can't wait to go back!

Gabby and Ainsley are the sweetest! Can't wait to see them on the rooftop this summer!!

Food service and atmosphere are the best. We love CB Brunches! Can't wait for the weather to warm up so we can enjoy the rooftop bar with Ainsley and Gabby! We also love Cat and Alana.

Breakfast tacos with a side of bacon
    Cindi C.

I absolutely recommend Brunches! Cat was our vivacious server. Her enthusiasm is contagious. The breakfast Tacos were delicious with a topping of guacamole. And the bacon was cooked to perfection. My husband had Biscuits and Sausage Gravy. He said it was so flavorful and comforting. We'd will come back.

BLT with fried green tomato. Yum. This was a great sandwich with a side of plain grits. The butter toasted bread on a hot stove top along with the egg, bacon and fried green tomatoes was a lovely paring. Cooking the toast like this was an added touch that most restaurants don't do. Great bunch spot within walking distance to the beach.

Very short staffed. The waitress was running around apologizing and said they are short staffed front and back of the house. The couple next to us left before their food came out. The other table was sat before us and was still waiting on the food as we were leaving. Once we did get our food, I was not impressed with the hibachi (should have known better) the burger and buffalo chicken Mac and cheese was good. Unfortunately, all of the dishes were room temperature when we got it. It's peak season and a terrible time to be short staffed. We were there from 7pm to 8:30pm on a Thursday evening.

Hours for brunch are from 7:30 AM to 3 PM, then happy hour/appetizers are from 3 PM to 4:30 PM and then dinner service known as federal point Grill will be from 4:30 to 9:30 PM. From Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 9 AM, is 20% off all menu items. Locals get 15% discount. There is a rooftop bar, but it's not open yet, may open tomorrow. Should be open during dinner time with dinner service and a different drink menu. There's covered outdoor seating with bug screen. They have their own free parking lot, with some golf cart, parking spots. We came right before 5 PM on their second day of opening. We started off with the crispy Brussels ($11.95), then for entrees got the seafood Mac & cheese ($24.95), and fried flounder basket ($17.95). Everything was good, couldn't finish everything. The portion of the brussels sprouts was huge, like a meal portion. Brussels were fried crispy, came with chopped pieces of canned peaches, some pieces of candied pecans, drizzled with a sweet white balsamic vinaigrette. The mac & cheese was super creamy. Came with crab, shrimp, scallops in a lobster cream sauce. The fried flounder was crispy on the outside and the flounder itself was tender. Came with fries, which were crispy. Kids menu is available. No dessert menu. High chairs are available. No baby changing table in the women's bathroom. Our waiter Jesse was awesome!

Got to make a last minute visit here after a full week in C.B. Noticed a packed lot most of the time so we decided to go for an early dinner. With it being early there was no wait obviously. Staff was nice and place was clean. Drinks and food were great! Food portions were very generous. Will definitely have to try the breakfasts next time. Would highly recommend!

    Brunches is the best!

Best decision ever. Sydney was the best! We were on the patio and it was 5011° out but this girl did her thing! She kept our waters full and drinks plentiful! She enjoyed the shenanigans and even helped us with some! Y'all stop in and see her! The food is always delicious. Drinks are always a must! She really did make our day and start to our trip.

We arrived around 4:30 and beat the dinner rush, which gave us a beautiful evening outside. From the moment we sat down, it felt less like going to a restaurant and more like coming home after a long day at the beach. Our servers, Abigail and Allie, were both wonderful--friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Service like that is getting harder to find these days, and they deserve a lot of credit. We started with the fried okra, and there were barely any left by the time I thought to take a picture. Crisp, hot, and some of the best we've had. The Black and Red wings were excellent too--full of flavor with just the right amount of kick. The fries were seasoned and cooked just right. The outside seating has a great atmosphere, and even the little details stood out. The place was clean, including the restroom, and seeing their 97.5 sanitation score posted proudly gave us even more confidence. They even had a Venus flytrap outside--only in Carolina Beach can a restaurant have its own bug patrol on duty. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

Ok so you have a restaurant at the beach and have to filter your water. I'd think your menu prices would cover that. First time in my life I've ordered tap water and had to pay $1.50 each water. The Spot, bad way to handle your costs. These are built in costs that you need to absorb elsewhere. Charging 1.50 costs you much more than you think! Disappointed.
