Short summary: the food is great, if you can get any. To start, they would not accommodate my partner, who really needed a bench seat due to their disabled back. They made us switch tables. But that's not all, folks! My partner and I sat down and ordered; they received their food, but I did not. It was only when they started closing down that I realized what was happening. They did not even apologize, simply saying "they didn't hear me". They did, however, hear my order for iced tea, which was $6.50. And which they charged me for, after completely blowing off my order. No effort at all was made to make up for it. With how expensive the place is, you would think that staff would be trained to, I don't know, actually properly take an order. This is not the first time they've made mistakes, but it's the last one for me, because I just won't be returning. The restaurant is expensive, small and you will have to eat crowded into the front area to make their job easier. To be fair, at least you get refills on the iced tea. The tea is good. This morning I went to breakfast with a friend I ordered the loco moco they had the big hip (deep fried French toast) with their special bacon. We got drinks which was good the house potatoes are really good I will say that. Then my food came the loco moco. I swear it was just deep fried ground beef. It was not good at all it tasted like water. The service was really good they checked on us and didn't have to ask for a refill on water. The big hip I guess was good but the bacon was not. We started off by ordering a mocha and a Ube latte. My friend said the mocha was pretty good but the ube latte tasted more like straight milk. We then ordered breakfast tacos, the deep fried French toast with custard and an eggs Benedict. The taco came out almost 5 mins before the French toast and the Benedict never came. The French toast didn't seem like French toast. More like a funnel cake. We asked about the forgotten Benedict and we heard them just put in the order so they totally forgot but then lied and said it went to the wrong table. The cook who brought the food was very kind and apologized but the lady who served us was extremely rude and couldn't care less. The customer service over all was not great and the food was okay. The restaurant itself is cozy. We were seated quickly. I ordered the chicken and croffle (croissant/waffle). My boyfriend ordered the breakfast tacos. Food came quick! The chicken and croffle was delicious, although the croffle portion is much less than the chicken. The dish overall is quite filling. I was worried the tacos wouldn't be enough because it only comes with two tortillas, but it was enough with all its fillings and the potatoes on the side. I stopped in for brunch on a Sunday with my husband and mother in law recently. We had eggs and bacon for one person, French toast with sausage for the second person, and the fried chicken sandwich for the third. The eggs were delivered first, then several minutes later the bacon, a bit later the French toast, then sausage, then lastly the sandwich. 5 separate plates of food delivered over about a 10 minute period. Eating together meant eating cold food. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was completely lacking any seasoning. I've never had fried chicken that bland before. No salt, pepper, nothing. From where I was sitting, I could see the cooks prepare the dishes, so it was a pleasant surprise to see that each dish is freshly made to order. Looking through the menu, I noticed American dishes and Asian-inspired plates. I also appreciate how they have a few vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options available on their menu. On my recent visit, I was craving sweet and salty, so I ordered the Chicken and Waffle. When I received my plate, I was amazed by the presentation. The waffle was split into four, was accompanied by three breaded chicken tenders, and some berries. I took a bite of the waffle and it was very fluffy on the inside. I also was a fan of the side of syrup since it wasn't too sweet. Now onto the chicken, I loved the crispy exterior of the breading and the inside was juicy and flavorful. I also thought the powdered sugar was a nice addition because it added a slight sweetness to the dish. My sister and her fiancé also enjoyed their plates of Chicken and Waffles. On the other hand, my parents enjoyed the California Burger, which consists of avocado, arugula, pickled red onion, and pepper jack. The burger also comes with a generous amount of fries on the side. For the most part, the service was courteous and the server ensured that our waters were filled despite the busy brunch hour. I also thought the ambiance was cozy, yet chic. Note: There are parking meters near the establishment, so plan accordingly. Came here a few weeks ago on vacation and had a lovely experience. The bulgogi tacos were very good. My espresso was very tasty and just the right strength. My husband had the French toast and eggs and bacon and the portion was healthy. His mocha was also very delicious! There's a whole freaking avocado in there and a mound of seasoned fries. They do the giant patty right every time, and they don't miss a beat on assembly. It all comes out to about $20, and it'll keep most full for several hours because of the portions. If you want to eat inside, there's plenty of indoor seating and an overhead fan. Service is always expedient and kind as well. Street parking on the weekdays is pretty easy, but I haven't been by on a weekend. I'm betting brunch time on Saturday and Sunday is a different story. read more

The restaurant looked pretty busy, however, the wait time wasn't too bad at 7-10 minutes. They offer indoor and outdoor seating; we opted to sit inside next to open windows. They have hand sanitizers at every table, physical menus and scan QR codes for menu. I was a bit overwhelmed by the items and dishes they offered on the menu. Loco moco? French toast? Millionaire's Ba-con?! Dungeness hash? 3 eggs benny styles to choose from?! I was pretty indecisive and was stuck between the chicken and waffles and the classic ben. Both are my fave to-go dishes at any restaurant. My friends both ordered the chicken and waffles, and a millionaire's ba-con added on the side. I was very curious about this bacon of millionaire's and was excited to sample it. I ended up going with the class benny with a side of potatoes. Wait time for the food took no longer than 15 minutes and the dishes were out. The plates were nicely presented, so of course we had to make the phone eat first. The eggs benny with the hollandaise sauce was delishness and the potatoes paired well with the leftover sauce on the plate. Nom nom, it was hella good in the tum. My friend offered me some of the millionaire's bacon and wow, a punch of flavaflav. It's sweet with a splash of spiciness, and expensive for 2 slices but it's pretty worth it. I can see why millionaires eat this ba-con. Overall, it was a pretty positive brunch experience. The food was delish, the prices were reasonable for the area, the staff were kind and attentive. The restaurant is a bit small but cute and cozy. There's mainly street parking or you can park at the small lot a block down. This is actually my second time eating here. First time was many years ago... that was before I actively in Yelp. The food here is so vivid in my mind because of: 1 Colorful food. Their plates are always filled with colorful fruits and fresh greens. 2 Millionaire's bacon This time I happened to be traveling to Muir Woods and this is our go-to breakfast whenever we can. One thing we noticed though, we believed they have reduced the amount of options in their menu. Possibly due to covid and limited resources. Tip: When the business return to full menu... look out for their Dungeness Crab Benedict. OMG!!! For now, anything in the menu is a good option. To begin with, we request for our food to-go, so we can eat it comfortably in our Airbnb home. It's only a short drive back, but once we open the container, we all are impressed with the plate. Such a beautiful plating and colors in the fresh fruits and greens. The Eggs Benedict (in any options) are the best way to go. But they have plenty of other options for those with specific palate. Staff are always courteous and friendly. Can't go wrong with this place when you visit Muir Wood, Mill Valley or close by area. They also have great scramble options for kids. Plenty of greens and fruits to make sure it's a balance meal. Breakfast will be the most important meal for me if it's from Kitchen Sunnyside everyday. :) read more

A hearty and filling breakfast that we desperately needed after working out before heading up to wine country. The restaurant is cozy yet spacious. We got there and saw a ton of folks outside and thought we'd have a long wait. Turns out things move quick here and we only waited 20 minutes. The Hemingway Benedict is one of the best breakfast dishes I've ever eaten. Smoked salmon, paired with capers, refreshing thin slices of cucumbers, and a thin slice of lemon (yes an actual lemon slice, not juice or zest) made every single bite incredible. I have never thought of actually eating a slice of lemon, most recipes call for the juice or zest and this was the best surprise. The millionaire's bacon is worth a try at least once in your life. I personally don't crave bacon so I tried it once at one of their sister restaurants and it truly was delicious but that $8-9 price tag to add it on to a dish is steep and not worth it in my eyes. read more
