    Tom Ka Soup
    Gloria K.

Craving Tom Ka, I walked in after work around 5pm on Friday and they were getting ready to close (they close at 6pm) but the lady who took my order was very kind and the establishment gave me the feeling that this is a casual but nice family business. I ordered a Tom Ka with tofu to go and she sweetly replied that it will be ready in 15 minutes so I went strolling around the small shopping center. After 10 minutes, my soup was ready early! Once I got home (15 minutes later) and opened it, it was still pipping hot which was a pleasant surprise. I guess I expected the soup to get a little cold on the way home but it was hot like it had just come off the stove, and it smelled amazing. My soup was well-seasoned and absolutely delicious, it hit the craving-Tom-Ka spot! I will definitely be going back with friends and family. Thank you, Kitti!

My family and I have been coming to Kitti's for decades, and after moving away I recently rediscovered its amazing food and friendly staff. Lisa and her family are so welcoming, and the food cannot be beat. Every time I come I order the Tom Kha - by far the best I have had anywhere in the US. Their salads and specialty dishes are incredible as well.

Kitti's place is your not so secret Thai food destination that all the locals are super hush hush about. The reason is, this place is AMAZING and gets full for lunch very quickly! Lisa and Kitti run this restaurant with soo much ease and caters to all diets! Want to sub something in the dish you want? No problem for the kitchen and that's what I call SERVICE. Every time I come here I get something different. Everyday they change their specials menu and more likely than usual I get something off that menu but when I want something that I've already been craving my go-to is the Lettuce Cups with crispy noodles, chicken, jicama, and plum sauce. Great appetizer option, pretty much guilt free and wont fill you up too much. The house made chicken pot stickers are also to die for, and very saucy if your that type of person. My favorite of all is the Pad See Iw and I like to add beef to it. Delicious black bean sauce tops the house made rice noodles and broccoli. So comforting and absolutely delicious! Make Kitti's Place your lunch destination in Sausalito! Authentic Thai flavors will entice your palate every single time.

I always forget to come here!! And it's SO good, fresh & Mom and Pop and daughter business! What particularly? Well, particularly every thing but really this time was all about the Pad See Ew! I have one place in NY that is my favorite that I am always seeing if anyone can match it, today I couldn't stop eating it! They brought me a sweet Birthday plate of cakes and coconut ice cream and I just kept eating the Pad See Ew or Iw as it it spelled here. The noodles and Veggies were so good! (I am a savory person) This place is really totally flexible, if you get the lettuce cups with a friend and (comes with 3) they can make it 4 and make the protein whatever each person wants. Next time I would order a less saucy lettuce cups as I am used to the more dry flavor of protein, I love the crunch they put in with Chinese noodles and jicama instead of Chestnut? It was so clever. & delicious. Or if you just want a sandwich..I have yet to reach this point as you will crave some yummy Thai, but I dream of ordering a sandwich from here, they will make you a sandwich. Goals!! The Pad Thai is so good here too and the Dad,Kitti who makes the best Chinese Chicken Salad In Marin- has his own version of the "famous Comforts" salad. You must try HIS version. See, you need to try a lot of things.. well I still do. I took a menu with me today as I am gonna make the effort to order everything from here eventually. The Lunch hours are 11:30-3pm M-F and Take Out Only for dinner 5-7pm closed Sat & Sun. I'm gonna squeeze in some lunches and get some dinners for the Fam and I will update. The best is sitting out on the Sunny Outdoors among the plants and water feature and a Thai Iced Tea (not too sweet)- and bring a friend or come alone!

Despite the Friday night chaos (seriously, where did all these hungry people come from?), we scored a table faster than you can say 'table for four!' We went full family-style and ordered enough food to feed a small army: Crispy Angel Wings - sweet, spicy, finger-lickin' good, and frankly, slightly addictive. If there's a rehab for wings, sign me up. BBQ Pork Garlic Noodles - so packed with garlic you might ward off vampires for a week. (Worth it!) Braised Beef Short Ribs - the coconut tomato curry was so good it could probably solve world peace. Or at least a hangry meltdown. Burmatown Bao - the kids inhaled these little taco-bun hybrids before we could even steal a bite. Blink and you'll miss them! Our waitress was a total rockstar--friendly, fast, and somehow able to remember our complicated order without writing it down. Superpowers? Maybe. No regrets, no complaints. Just happy bellies, a lingering craving for more wings, and a unanimous family decision: we'd come back in a heartbeat... if we're ever in Corte Madera again!

We thought okay, good time to try different dishes. After a forty minute wait, we reminded our server of our order. We could see how much was going on but other tables who had come after us had been served. She apologized profusely. She had forgotten to enter our order. We waited some more and I finally asked her if we could be served something quick to prepare like the tea leaf salad. This came. Delicious as always. We asked that the rest of our order be comped and this was granted. When our order came, the hoisin ribs were outstanding; the mushroom medley garlic noodles were missing the mushrooms; the green bean shrimp stir fry had tough inedible green beans. We left all the green beans and the rice which was dry and compacted, not fluffy at all. This is not at all the usual high caliber of cooking you normally get at Burmatown. Lesson learned. Remind the server sooner. We were one of the earlier tables and finished as the second to the last table at lunch service. We will be back for the outstanding hoisin ribs, the mushroom noodles and of course, the terrific chicken pumpkin curry which is normally available.

A standout highlight for me was the tender baby ginger sourced from Hawaii and marinated fresh in-house--I've never had anything like it anywhere else! The chef was engaging and informative, explaining each course so you know the exact origin of the ingredients and how they were expertly prepped. The final dessert course was way beyond my expectations: the slightly warm, chewy green tea mochi paired with the creamy vanilla gelato was an absolute match made in heaven.
