Weakest coffee I've had since my Lutheran church basement days. No wonder they don't bring water to the table, the coffee tastes like water. Breakfast was ok. The pancakes had a spice flavor to them, which was unexpected. Portions reflected the low prices. I ordered a side of American fries for 2.25 and The portion was very small. Service was ok. I probably won't be back. We are going to find a coffee shop so we can actually get some caffeine in our bodies. Hiking all day requires it. read more

I'd rate this much higher if based only on the food however..... Their service was disappointing. We arrived around 11:30 AM and were able to order relatively promptly. The good food arrived fairly quickly as well. Here's where it started to go downhill. A staff-member began gathering up various items from each table; creamers, jellies, salt and pepper, etc. It became kind of a game to pass our 'stuff' to her as we continued to finish our meals. When we were done eating I placed my debit card on the table. It sat there for ten minutes while the wait staff bustled about, apparently getting prepared to close for the day. When the waitress finally did come with our check she looked at my card, turned around and started walking away saying "cash or check only." I asked if there was an ATM to which she replied with a simple "no." We looked for any signs indicating 'Cash or Check Only', 'No Credit Cards Accepted', anything stating this rule; none were visible to us. I jokingly asked "can I leave my wife here?" I was not even acknowledged. After finding a nearby ATM and returning with the requisite cash I placed a $20 bill on the table for a $15.48 check. A roughly 30% tip. My wife and I both said "Thank You" as we were leaving and again, NO acknowledgment from ANY of the staff. We appreciate the hard work customer facing employees do and recognize that not all customers are pleasant. We were neither rude nor needy and felt this treatment was unfair. Excellent breakfast. We were driving through and pulled up YELP for breakfast recommendations- this was at the top. I had the eggs Benedict, which was amazing. You can order a half serving. Hubs had the hash brown wrapped omelet and it was excellent. Great service with fast, affordable and tasty food. read more

The kitchen has great service. The food was delicious and we did not have to wait too long for our food. The only issue we had was that the only table available was by an exit door and there was a constant flow of people coming and going! It was a chilly breakfast!! The food was very reasonably priced and we will definitely be making it a regular stop. read more

Everything you could expect from a diner. Cheap food and great service. About 3 to 4 times better than Perkins and half the price. GF gets eggs, toast, hashbrowns and bacon (thick bacon) I get biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs and bacon for around 11 dollars. Biscuits are good too. The place is cheap but also pretty darn good food. I have to say this was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. I ordered the eggs benedict with a side of bacon..it was delish. It was sorta busy, but not horrible, our waitress was nice and always kept the coffee filled. I will for sure go back and make this a regular treat for some good home cooking. read more

Poor customer service. My daughter, granddaughter (18 months old) and other family members went out to eat there today. My daughter and granddaughter were asked to leave by the cook yelling across the restaurant because my grandaughter was being loud like most toddlers are. A quaint small town cafe! The food is priced well and fills you up quickly. It could use a renovation but works well as it is. The sign about not accepting credit cards was a little off putting and we almost went someplace else but remembered that we had cash so we stayed. I'm glad we did. My cousin took me here for breakfast before I headed back home to the cities and I want to say that if you are looking for a great home cooked meal that is VERY affordable this is the place to go. I had eggs benedict with hashbrowns and my cousin had a huge omelet with hashbrowns. The food was wonderful. The customer service was great also! This place has a real small town friendly feel. The decore could use an uplift of some kind. At least new flooring and tables and chairs but that is very minor. read more

Super busy weekend in Duluth so we drove over to WI for breakfast. This place was your average small town diner and it was super busy. It was amazing how the 2 waitresses and one busboy and I think 2 cooks kept the entire place happy and fed! The food was super cheap ($15 total) for an omelette meal and the blueberry french toast special. We got our food quicker than we thought we would, being so busy, and it was great. Would definitely visit again. They really could raise their prices on weekends and still have a lot of very happy customers. Oh and you've gotta love the sarcasm from the signs on the walls and the workers. If you ask for water they may tell you they're out of it.. Only tip is, bring cash, since they don't take credit cards. read more

This place is a true smalltown diner with solid breakfasts. Nothing fancy about the decor, but the food is generous and delicious. Gets really busy on the weekends, but we have never had to wait terribly long for a table. To say the prices are reasonable is an understatement. read more

We were lucky enough for a local to tell us about this awesome place. It is a diner you will love. Food is great. I ordered one of the specials. Basic, eggs, hash browns, bacon, ( real thick sliced cooked perfectly) and toast. Spouse ordered hash brown omelette. Fast service! Great food and staff that treat you like family. Sarcasm is free!
