I live close to Kitchen Table Cafe, so wanted to try them out. Saw a lot of reviews mentioning a really good Cobb Salad (one of my favorite salads)... so had to try it. Parking was easy... not hard to find a spot. Walked in, got seated immediately... and Ally (my waitperson) was awesome. Delivered water quickly, and took my order. She delivered my salad quickly tol. I dug in, and it was very good... nice portions too. Chicken was excellent, all the veggies were crisp and fresh, the hard boiled egg was yummy. The bleu cheese dressing was pretty good too! Stopped here for breakfast once at lunch a second time absolutely has a very traditional American menu. However, some things are a little fancier than you would see at a mom and Pop restaurant of the similar type, highly recommend giving it a try. Prices are competitive it's very clean and well staffed very enjoyable place to sit and relax and eat a meal. The desserts are excellent and I had both breakfast and lunch both times. This was one of the beat Corn Beef Hash I have eaten in a while. It was so delicious and that Hollandaise sauce added made the dish even better. We also ordered Strawberry Waffles, kids Grilled Cheese and a kids stack pancakes. We left no crumbs literally lol. It was busy when we walked in but we got seated pretty quick. Our server was so friendly and helpful being it was our first time here. This place has lots of seating and can accommodate larger parties. One of my favorite places to go for brunch. This is the location I haven't been to before. It's a little bit smaller than the other location, however the food is just as good. They have a huge number of options if you want to make your own breakfast combo. However, I go for the chicken fried steak. It's always tender, hot and tasty. I can get crisp red potatoes at this place where other restaurants don't seem to know how to make that happen. The service today was excellent. They know how to get your food to you quickly. The wife went for the ham scramble. We both thought our meals were served quickly and were very tasty. I highly recommend this place and suggest you give it a try read more

Located in a beautiful region of Vancouver called the Evergreen district. We arrived at opening 7:00AM. The ambiance was pleasant and the decor was modern yet spacious. The waitress was super nice and attentive. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros which was excellent and healthy. My wife the Turkey Scramble. A+ for both entrees. The menu is quite extensive which means we will be back to try all their specialties. This special place was everything we have bed looking for since we moved to Vancouver. The service was friendly and we were seated right away. The hostess was great. My husband enjoyed his breakfast but felt the coffee was weak and bland. I agreed with him on the coffee. My breakfast was not hot, it should have been but wasn't. The two eggs were slimy and the bacon had good flavor but was cold. The waffle was cold, the butter didn't melt on it at all. It was so disappointing I had been craving a waffle. I'm not sure I would go back here. We're visiting from hours away and it just wasn't worth it. read more

We like your restaurant and usually always get great service, but today was a real disappointment. You were barely half full. Brennan(name on check) was very lackluster. Not much energy at the table, took the order, delivered it and was pretty much the last we saw of her. Not even midway through the meal, I put my coffee cup to the edge of the table, so level could be seen walking by. She did not come by until we were almost done. She looked at our table, went to the lady across from us, asked if she wanted coffee, went and got it, poured her coffee and walked past us again. About 5 minutes after that, she dropped the check and left. I put my card down about a minute later and after 5 minutes I ask my wife if she could see her. She said she was talking in the bus station to other servers the whole time! It is the first time in a LONG time I have given a 10% tip. FYI..... I spent 25 years in hospitality. From dishwasher to manager, fast food to fine dining, I have worked the full spectrum. I kills me to give 10% but I will not subsidize poor service. Came in on a Sunday around 11am and the place was pretty busy as usual. It's awesome to see that even tho it was so busy we did not have yo wait at all to get seated. Just walk in and no stopping and straight to your table. Yay. I got the sausage links with 2 eggs hashbrowns and pancakes for $14.59. I love the pancakes here. But, I was bummed they came to me about 5 minutes after I got my eggs, sausage and hashbrowns because I really like to eat my sausages hot with my pancakes. That was a bummer. She got the chorizo scramble and really enjoyed it. They fried potatoes they serve you are hard and not cooked enough. The same thing with my hashbrowns too. They were actually kind of undercooked as well. Very odd. It's also annoying when they make you add a tip to the handheld payment machine with them waiting with the handheld in their hand for you to decide how much you want to tip them. Just feels awkward. Other than that the coffee here a couple years ago used to be really full flavored and delicious. Not it kind taste like it's a little watered down. The restaurant was nice. Service was good. The food was a let down though. I had the avocado Benedict with red potatoes. The food came out fast, maybe too fast. The hollandaise was tasty and seemed scratch made, but there was hardly any on my eggs. So that was disappointing because the hollandaise is what makes a Benny more than just eggs on toast. Sides of anything seemed really expensive so I didn't ask for more in fear they'd charge me 5$ for what should have been on the eggs in the first place. I didn't want to argue with anyone in the morning, or end up angry for an upcharge, so I just ate it. The avocado was ripe. That's the only good thing about it. The stem hole thingy on the top was still in it. It wasn't cut nicely either. It was quartered and slapped on the muffin. So it was a big hunk of avocado. Like a curved boat. One, maybe two slices to fan it out would have helped so much in the eating it part. It was impossible to not get way too much avocado, and food because the avocado was so large, on the fork when trying to get a bite of everything at once. It's a mouthful just explaining it. The red potatoes were wet. Like sweaty. There was seasoning on them but the wetness distracted me from the flavor. I'm guessing they were steamed to reheat them like under a bowl or "hat", and not left to cook after to crisp them and let them dry off. The par cook on them was perfect. Just the right doneness. The reheat just let them down. There was so much potential to the meal. Hollandaise sauce was great. The avocado was ripe. Tomatoes were perfect. English muffin was great. Potatoes could have been AMAZING! It just fell apart because of execution and rushing. Probably just an off day. I might go back one day, just not anytime soon. read more

I went pay my bill and all I had was a 100 bill. The girl said they couldn't break it ? I told her no that's all I had. And with a very sarcastic voice she asked "you mean you don't have a card? " I repeated to her no that's all I have. She went back and her and another employee started checking the bill like I was passing bad money. Then she brought back my change and dropped it on the table. She decided to take a 8 dollar tip out without asking or even telling me. I have never been treated so badly for trying to pay my bill with money. Never going back very rude and unprofessional. Something changed for the better AND we will be regulars now. Hard to find a place to call a "regular place" to find good food and service. But this one makes the grade.
