After finally getting it back we learned that these guys missed several obvious issues from the accident that still need repair. One of our wheels is bent, the valve cover was broken and the airbag light is on. When confronted the owner was exceptionally defensive and became rude. But I have an almost new Land Rover Defender, backed it up into a tree in my own driveway, visually you'd think "oh they can bang this out and polish it" (which they would have done back in my day, but now everything i just 'replace the whole panel'). Anyway, I called Land Rover Flatirons for a recommendation where to go for repairs, and the operator girl (sounded young) said "hold on." asked someone and came back with "we recommend Johns Collision". So that's how I ended up driving more than an hour away from my house (they're in a horrible part of town in Denver. Hard to get to. ) and I met Trevor there, he was super nice, walked around my car, said "we have to replace this whole panel and the bumper, oh this is a lot of work!" etc etc. The usual. Then I left and the next day got an estimate for $14,000! (which is insane, so obviously I had to go through insurance). But here's the rub. the WHOLE time, I was just saying "please I have two little kids (who were screaming in the car, which is why I backed into a tree in the first place), I need this fixed as fast as possible" and he kept saying well, we're the ONLY shop "authorized to work on Land rovers in all of Denver" AND "we're the only shop that can even order these parts" AND, drum roll, "we dont have enough techs so we're backed up till FEBRUARY (that's 7 months!! 7 MONTHS) I thought this was insane. My husband thought this was insane. I kept calling every few weeks to see if they could "squeeze me in any earlier". Nope. And finally it was time for my car to go to the Land Rover dealer for a regular service, and the service manager literally looked at the damage and said "why havne't you gotten it fixed?" and I said "because the shop you sent me to Johns Collission is backed up 7 MONTHS!" and he said "oh, I never recommend them, Go to Stuttgart Auto Body. They're way better and faster" And sure enough, I just went to Stuttgart today, and it was SO obvious by the guys faces that Johns Auto Body ALWAYS over charges/over estimates damage (the guys literally chucked at their original estimate!) AND they said "we can get this going for you right away. We'll order the part TODAY and as soon as it comes we'll do the work" So I've been driving a damaged car for THREE months, totally unnecessarily. and even that, I can live with, but the TRULY annoying part is that I could ahve had the car fixed in the summer/when the weather was dry/warm and not today (Last day of October) it SNOWED at my house, and I actually NEED the defender now, instead of the cheap rental the insurance will give me. So I'm screwed. Have to pay for a 4x4 rental out of pocket all because Trevor at John's collision 100% LIED to my face that they're the "only" authorized repair shop for Land Rover. And I state again, the guy was SO NICE in person! What the hell has the world come to!? They clearly have enough business (given they're backed up 7 months) they couldnt just tell the truth to make MY life easier and TELL Me to try Stuttgart (they have 3 locations too!) nope. I am consistently underwhelmed by most Dealerships and especially their service departments. It…read moreoften feels like they either try to get you to fix things that don't need fixing because they think you know nothing of cars and know with so much advanced tech, even if you did, you won't be able to fix it yourself. You've got the other scenario where the dealership has to fix something under warranty so they do a minimal job of trying to figure out what's wrong so they don't have to do the fix or at least not the whole fix. From the get go, Landmark was professional and engaging. I have a fix that requires conversations with the warranty company. Landmark immediately submitted this and worked with them to investigate the area in need of repairs. During this time the company declined to pay for the fix but instead of Landmark washing their hands of it and asking me to pay the hefty price they recommended I reach back out and appeal the decision. Now, whether they accept this or not Landmark could have very easily pushed me to pay for the fix but instead chose to work with me to potentially get this paid for by the warranty company. I very much appreciate their engagement and time on this.

After the repair, the noise remained, but their technician assured me the vehicle was safe to drive. Days later, the transfer case failed -- a serious issue that could have been caught with a proper diagnosis. A second shop confirmed the issue was misdiagnosed, and that other safety concerns like a leaking brake caliper and a failing hub actuator were missed. When I raised these concerns, management refused to take accountability, and I was offered no resolution. I trusted their expertise and was left with a major, avoidable repair. I would not recommend this service department based on their poor communication, lack of thoroughness, and unwillingness to stand behind their work.

I knew I needed shocks and struts on my minivan and other reviews were for the same. Called them last week, got a quote quickly on shocks and struts and scheduled a day I could make it. They were fast, friendly and most importantly honest! While installing the shocks and struts they found some loose bolts on the steering column which I had a feeling that might be the case but forgot to mention that issue. My minivan was fixed and ready in a shorter amount of time then was anticipated. I will definitely go back to this shop for any repairs I need.

But, I DID have a fantastic experience dealing with this crew. I got hit by an Amazon driver. Not the actual blue truck. A contracted vehicle. So, the process was LONG. Very LONG. But, after a referral from a Lexus repair shop up north that we visited for my wife's car, it was the best decision I have made in some time. When searching for a repair shop, it is tough to know what to look for. I can't speak for you, but I didn't have the time nor patience to vet out every repair shop in Denver. And, I wasn't in any mood to do so with a busted up ride. So, I decided to go on the referral, my first impression when I walked in, and a couple referrals online. If reading this, and your car needs some work, stop looking around. I will save you the time. Although I am not any body shop expert, this is the best place I can imagine going to. I will be recommending this shop to anyone of my friends or network who has an incident, and will be taking my car there for any future work. Because I was dealing with Amazon and their third party insurance, I was concerned about the admin side of things, and getting stuck with charges at the end. Jordan was behind the counter and assured me that she would handle all contact with Amazon and insurance, and all rental admin stuff. They gave me a ride to the nearby Enterprise initially, handled ALL admin stuff for the months in between, took the rental car back after giving me my ride, and even fixed a windshield crack on their dime that happened on their watch. Jordan was fantastic in keeping me updated on the insurance company's very slow approval of supplements to the repairs. Steve runs the place, he seems like a great dude, and you can just tell that he runs his business in an ethical and fair way, and that his crew is trained to make each customer happy after their unhappy car incident. I don't recommend getting hit by an Amazon driver. And I don't wish your car to need auto body work at all. But, I DO recommend, if anything unfortunate happens to your prized vehicle, in taking any repair work to this place without hesitation.
