I'm gonna be honest I don't do pain well, but she was super nice about it. I've visited Kitt on numerous occasions, all of my visits were fantastic. Kitt helped me reduce a pretty nasty scar on my face that I got during a horrific bike accident in 2014. We did mild peels for about 2-3 months and I definitely noticed the scar reduce in size and fade over time. I highly recommend her as she is very knowledgeable, warm, and easy to talk to. I arrived early and noticed her shop was not yet open, so I waited 10 mins thinking she was running a little late. I tried calling and texting, but no reply. I am super lazy and don't normally write reviews (even though I'm constantly seriously planning on doing it, especially after bad experiences...), buuuut, Kitt is thebomb.com and you need to book her for all of your waxing needs. Kitt has been helping me with my hair situations (brazilians and underarms) for about two years now. She's so awesome that I followed her to her new salon when she moved from Oakland. That is serious commitment for someone (me) who thinks an 8 min work commute is too much... Experience: Waxing hurts. Period. However, Kitt makes the experience super bearable. She's hilarious and does her best to keep your mind off of the waxing. She's very very clean and thorough. She uses new sticks with every application, changes the sheets for every customer, uses great waxing products (and takes her product selection very seriously, if you ask, she'll tell you about it), and will battle any ingrowns that challenge her. She's very mindful about your comfort - wax temperature, position adjustments, taking breaks if you need them, etc. A note on pain: I just found out about Greencaine (literally just last week when I went to see Kitt) and, if the pain is what's keeping you from waxing, you need to try it. You can also ask Kitt for recommendations! Price: GREAT prices. I book the packages and Kitt does a great job tracking my uses. She also has great promotions every once in a while.
