From the very beginning, Amie has been so patient, flexible with my schedule, and genuinely caring about Meatball's growth and overall wellness. We began with standard baseline training which gave us such a strong foundation. Those basics made it so much easier when I decided to move on to more advanced skills. One of the biggest things I have appreciated is that Amie did not just train Meatball, she also trained me. She taught me how to communicate better, be consistent, and really build a strong bond with my dog. Another amazing part of working with Amie is the community she has built. After private lessons, we have had the opportunity to join group classes and pack walks which will be so great for Meatball's socialization. She also goes above and beyond by offering support outside of in-person lessons. Whenever I have questions, she is always responsive via text and often sends helpful how-to videos, tips, and tricks that make a big difference in our progress. Update: We recently completed a 5 week course with Amie for E-collar training. And before you judge, understand I was just like you. I had negative, judgemental thoughts about ecollars and looked down upon people who used them. I felt it was negative reinforcement, similar to physical punishement. I wanted my guy and I to have more freedom in our exploring, so I signed him up anyway, because I knew I could trust Amie. I had extreme anxiety about using the ecollar. I was scared I was going to irreversibly damage my dog's trust in me and injure him. After signing up and feeling apprehension I reached out to Amie who assured me, settings are low, we do things slowly and incorporate the collar similarly to verbal commands and/or leash pressure. She told me I wasn't alone in my thoughts and that she felt the same concerns when she started. Throughout the 5 weeks my relationship with my guy changed. He was following me without the stim, verbal commands or leash pressure. He checked in more frequently, came back on his own and was FREE. It is an absolutely freeing feeling allowing him to roam at a safe distance, knowing his recall is more secure and our trust in each other is greater. She is an amazing woman and cares deeply for her cats and her customers. I have had the pleasure of caring for her queens and they are happy and healthy girls. A few people have mentioned FIP. So here are the facts. This disease occurs in cats that test positive for Feline Coronavirus. It occurs in cats with a weekend immune system. The coronavirus itself morphs into what we call FIP. . There are two types of FIP, but I wont go and all that. Just know that treatment is not out for the main stream yet. You can buy treatment from China for your feline, however, it cost about $6000 plus and you need to find a veterinarian that is willing to administer it to your cat. There's no guarantee it will work. Is is not necessarily an easy treatment for the cat itself, another words they don't necessarily feel very good when getting the treatment. It is an option for people who have the money. Otherwise, you're looking at euthanasia for your cat. There is a certain percentage of cats that are just going to develop it. So the more catch you sell.... the greater the chance of you selling a cat that develops if I pee. It's just a mathematics percentage. It's no more than that. It's easy to blame the breeder because the age when it occurs is not long after a cat is given to the new owner from Breeder. They develop somewhere usually between six months of age in a year of age. This is because this is when a Kittens systems is most vulnerable So that is the reality of FIP. It has nothing do with Carrie or anything she's ever done. It has to do with laws of the universe and that purpose of disease in all living things is to control the population in any given species.. you got your cat from please do a little reading. If you don't believe me, you will see that I am correct. And because the coronavirus, the feline coronavirus is very rapid in the US, the percentages of it happening here or greater than in other parts of the world, where the coronavirus in felines We all do our best until there's a readily available vaccine or treatment. I hope you're a little more educated on FIP . And like I said, we exist in the blame game to try to make sense of something that happened and put the blame elsewhere but if we look at the world, the chaos theory, shit happens . If you can't except that then you will always feel the need to place blame on someone. I would be more than happy to explain this further to anyone who wants more info. I've done my research. What really amazed me was watching how experienced and capable they were with the kittens. Within literally about ten minutes, she had all three babies fed full bottles, stimulated, comfortable, and peacefully back to sleep. Seeing how naturally and lovingly she cared for them immediately reassured me that I had brought them to the right place. They took what was an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking situation for me and made it so much easier. They even offered to send me updates and pictures of the kittens as they grow until they are eventually adopted, which means more to me than I can possibly explain. I am forever grateful to Love Fur Paws for taking these babies in, caring for them, and showing me so much compassion during such an emotional moment. Knowing that they are safe, fed, warm, and being cared for by people who clearly know exactly what they are doing has given me such peace of mind.
