I had never left my 2 younger cats for an even a day before and was super nervous. I needn't have worried because they were in the best of care with Sherri. She made twice daily visits, tried to lure my scaredy cat boys out of their hiding places, and gave me daily updates with pictures. She was also super great with my and my mom's senior kitties who didn't hide. Sherri is amazing. My family experienced a tragic emergency and I needed near-immediate daily care for my parent's two senior cats. I called numerous pet sitters without response and was thrilled when Sherri called me back almost immediately. If i could give more stars i would because you i had no worries my cats were in great care when i was gone. Upon meeting her i felt at ease my cats would be in good hands. I found out the day she met me(she may be finding this out now) there was the long beach marathon going on and it had her going in circles trying to get to my house because all the streets were block she persisted on and got here. I was in the middle of it and its nearly impossible to get to my place but she found it and came as promised. I wouldn't have blamed her if she gave up but that shows to me she was perfect person to take care of my cats. I don't like to board my cats just because they are hard to get into their carrier, rowdy in the car(one never makes a peep only when in the car) and probably don't like being in a cage because i rescued them from a shelter where they were in small kennels so i feel bad. Sherri was great even though my cats are not used to anyone but me around one came out to meet her right away but my other one (formerly feral) finally made an appearance near the end. so just that means he's trusting her and thinking about getting pet(he never leaves my side i think he was wanting some pet). I didn't worry when i was away because she responds to any of my emails or text immediately or let me know my cat finally made his royal appearance. Having a cat sitter that you trust in your home and with your cats is a big issue with me but i trust Sherri 100% and was the best way to leave my cats at home where their stress levels would be at a minimum. She is a cat person like me and no better of a person like her to take care of your cats while your away. Hopefully next time my other one will cozy up to her but then he might not want her to leave cuz he never leaves my side. hes sitting on my arm while im typing this. i would highly recommend better than i expected and will be a returning customer so id give her a try if your are reading this she is a very sweet lady and left a catnip cigar one of my cat loves to hug and kick with her back legs. read more

I'm pretty obsessive and ridiculous when it comes to finding care for my 20 year old, medically sensitive best feline friend. I felt completely at ease as soon as we met Sherri. She's clearly very experienced in caring for all kinds of cats, even ones like mine, and I was really impressed with her meticulous and careful preparation process when she came over to meet us and take notes - I felt totally confident Optimus would be getting her meds at the proper times. What I didn't expect was how kind, involved, and compassionate Sherri would be when Optimus got totally constipated while we were away and we needed to add in extra medication. Definitely recommend Sherri!! She is very professional...a few days before our trip, she came to our house and reviewed our needs, met our cats, and completed a pre-visit checklist (i.e. vet info, etc). While we were away, she came to our house twice a day (and gave one of our cats eye drops) and emailed us daily updates. She clearly loves animals and takes her job seriously. I can't express how amazing Sherri is. I started traveling a lot for work and couldn't keep relying on friends to take care of my cats. Now I don't know what I would do without her. She treats my kitties just like her own. Every time I'm gone she sends me pictures of them and updates me with how they are doing. One of my cats even got sick while I was away and she took care of everything. She picked up medicine from my vet and made sure she got the correct care she needed. We recently moved to Alameda and were planning a trip to Hawaii when our pet sitting arrangements changed at the last minute. I was able to reach Sherri directly and not only was she very friendly and professional, her pricing is extremely affordable, especially out here in the bay, where everything seems to be double the price of what is was where we lived before. She came over and met us for a consultation and we decided to hire her. She genuinely loves cats, it's easy to tell, and that makes a big difference. Animals know when someone is kind, and our kitty Monet felt at ease with Sherri very quickly. During our trip, Sherri sent photo updates and emails to let us know how our kitty was doing. It was such a relief to know she was being well cared for while we were gone. Totally worth the money! Being able to let our 15 year old girl stay home with familiar smells and foods meant a lot to us, especially in light of the fact that we hadn't been in the new place for much longer than a month. Sherri is the best! She takes such good care of our kitty, Rafiki, and always sends us pictures and videos so we can see that Rafiki is doing well. She also knows that Rafiki has a lot of energy and is very playful, so she spends extra time playing with her and we often come home to find new toys that Sherri brought over. We switched to Sherri after a poor experience with another catsitter - and boy were we glad to find her! She is very attentive, and looked after their basic and emotional needs (petting included!). This review has been a long time coming, as I thought I had posted it before. Sherri took care of our four cats for many years until she left Maryland for Alameda. You will never find anyone more conscientious or caring for your cats' welfare than Sherri. And the cats know it! For example, one of our cats has never been particularly friendly with strangers, yet we now have a framed picture of her sitting in Sherri's lap! Whenever we have travelled on longer trips (once for three weeks) she made certain we were kept in the loop, either through e-mails or voice messages (depending on where we were). When we returned, we found notes and photographs of our little, ahem, angels. We miss Sherri, and I believe our cats do too. We highly recommend her for all your kitty care needs. read more
