Usually, I'm too lazy to write a Yelp review, but 3 TEN Plumbing truly deserves one for their exceptional service! I was impressed by how quickly John S. diagnosed our drainage blockage just by looking at the clean-out hole in the garage. He immediately determined that the issue wasn't in the section from the hole to the street. Another plumbing company had told me that section needed a lining, quoting me $20,000, but John was confident that wasn't the case. John was very smart and efficient -- instead of removing our toilet to snake the line, he simply snaked through a shower drain next to the toilet. He found that tree roots had invaded the pipe. Realizing that meant our pipes were likely broken, we decided to replace them based on John's recommendation. On the first day, Kevin and Cannon made up the team. They worked perfectly together -- Kevin was extremely knowledgeable, and Cannon was a great assistant. As expected, they dug out all the broken pipes and replaced them with new ABS piping. We also had them replace the old piping in the kitchen area. During the job, Kevin discovered that the pipe to the bar sink was half rotten and leaking water into the exterior wall. Even though this was outside the original scope of work, he quickly fixed it by cutting an opening in the wall -- and didn't charge extra! I really appreciated that level of care and integrity. Nine months ago, after being a first-time customer, I posted that 3 Ten Plumbing would be my go-to plumber. Well, this week when my 15 year-old water heater died, I immediately called John, the owner at 3 Ten. I called him Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m. He answered promptly. He arrived at my townhome with an assistant at about 11 a.m. to check-out my water heater. And by 1:30 p.m. I had my brand new water heater fully installed. What's more John recommended a water heater that, with a warranty upgrade, came with a 10 year warranty. What do I like about 3 Ten? When I call, John answers the phone. I don't have to go through an answering service, a receptionist or an appointment coordinator. He is extremely responsive. On Tuesday, he already had a couple of appointments that morning, but still managed to get to my home, pick-up a new water heater for me, install it, and haul the old heater away. And he did it all in less than six hours. WHO does that these days? One more thing, John is a perfectionist and you can tell he takes great pride in his work. How many plumbers does it take to fix a leak? My family and I just moved into our new home and discovered a leak from our bathroom upstairs. The first FOUR plumbers we contacted were unable fix it and gave us a recommendation to either replace the tub or put a hole in the wall to fix the shower valve. Frustrated by the lack of progress and concerns with their competency, we decided to reach out to one more plumber based on a recommendation from a colleague to get their assessment. John came by and fixed our leaked in less than 30 minutes by simply replacing the nipple for the tub spout. Wow! I had a clogged kitchen sink, and checked yelp for plumber. I had previously used plumbers before, but didn't have good experience with them, so I wanted to get a new plumber. John's review is awesome and is recommended by the neighborhood app so I figure I will ask him to come and unclog the kitchen drain. I contacted him via the Yelp message tool and he was very responsive! He came prepared and on time. Double checked the cause of the issue and got to work. He even brought a mat to put under him so the area can be kept clean. He also brought buckets and containers to drain water instead of asking me for them like the previous plumbers do. When he left, everything was clean. I can't say enough good things about this experience. Definitely highly recommended! We had a water line leak under our patio in our 1952 bungalow. We called John on Sunday and he was out Monday to assess the issue and he started work on Tuesday. He was very knowledgeable and thorough and explained to us exactly what was going on. Upon exposing the water lines he found our old gas line was corroding and had a leak and recommended changing that out as long as we had it exposed. My wife and I had an urgent plumbing emergency, involving a toilet upstairs that was leaking water onto the floor, and which we couldn't stop. I knew I needed help as soon as possible, and called 3 TEN because I'm in Walteria, and I had seen the truck on the next block over. Anyway, despite this being a Sunday morning, John showed up within about ten minutes, thank goodness. He was able to get the water shut off (which I had tried unsuccessfully to do), and then went to work on replacing a deteriorated valve that sent water to the toilet. This is a toilet we never use, and I think my next step will be to have it removed permanently, and perhaps replaced. Anyway, I can't say enough about John's competence, promptness, and friendliness. The price for solving a crucial emergency (that would have resulted in severe damage throughout the house, if not stopped) was very reasonable. Can't recommend 3 TEN enough. read more
