I've visited several body shops, but none matched the kindness and professionalism of this place. My frustration began two months ago when the paint on the rear side window of my car started peeling off. I looked at other places, but they all quoted outrageous prices. I bought paint online in a similar blue shade to my car to do it myself, but the peeled area was too large, and I couldn't handle it. However, when I visited this place recommended by my friend, the owner of the body shop explained everything so kindly and said they would do it at a low price. Kenny skillfully scraped off the peeled paint and repainted it within three hours. The result was so impressive that I almost questioned if there had ever been peeling paint. Got the lowest quote here after asking at least 7 dealerships. They did a great job on my bumper, a nice paint job and made it really look brand new. They even took my HOV stickers off my damaged bumpers and put it on the new one. It saved me the hassle of getting new ones, thought that was pretty thoughtful. Only thing I thought was weird was the owners daughter in the beginning was telling me to order my own bumper and have it sent to the shop. I wondered why she couldn't just do it but I attempted anyway, but the companies she recommended didn't have the OEM part and we went factory which was fine. It's also a shop that can be difficult to access due to the location. read more

I'm the proud ( relatively new ) owner of a 1973, Porsche 914/6, custom which someone hit and ran. This is the most amazing group of people my car was in a accident I'm a 20 year old college student. My insurance ends up yelling at me treating me like shit and denied my claim. I called the shop and not only did he tell me to calm down he said I'm going to see what I can do, because I am now coming out of pocket. They even called the Insuarance. Back in 2006 when some old hag that shouldn't have been driving rear ended me at a stop light... I took my car here. The owner, Kenny, took a while to get my car done b/c he had issues matching the paint. I dropped by to have a look, and couldn't even tell. Kenny has a serious eye for attention to detail. He said he repainted the bumper more than six times b/c it looked different at different times of the day. At dusk, I could sort of see the color not match to the rest of the car. Great job! My1965 Mustang looks car-show gorgeous again after a fender bender necessitating replacement of fender and front bumper. I was worried about matching my 5-year old paint job, but it was matched perfectly with smooth straight lines. Couldn't tell there'd been a repair. To my surprise, Kenny, the owner, charged me $550 less than his estimate! I didn't know anybody did that. And they took it immediately and got it back to me in 3 days. I brought my Volvo in to KJ's Auto Body with a big old dent on the lower part of the rear quarter panel--a particularly hard part of the car to fix because you can't just replace the body part like a fender. The dent had to be repaired and then the quarter panel had to be re-painted to match the existing paint. When I came to pick up my car two days later, you could never tell the car had ever had a dent. Flawless dent repair and paint job. My car looks new again. Thanks guys!! This review is definitely waaaaaay over do but it was imperative I did it regardless. I found KJs here on Yelp. Although I am an avid Yelp researcher before making major decisions, I can't say the same about reviewing my finds. Fortunately KJ made me change my ways with their awesome service and quality work. I have an older car that Ive had since highschool and I absolutely adore for its low maintenance, dependability, and commuter benefits. I was devastated when "Butterfly" was hit by an uninsured jerk and my insurance company insisted on totaling her out. NOOOOOOOO! Unthinkable and nonnegotiable. I bought it back and figured I would get it repaired on my own, but had three major concerns: I know NOTHING about cars, nervous about being taken advantage of because I'm a female, and to the insensitive eye Butterfly may not seem like much but I wanted her treated like she was a Bentley. I asked around and traveled around looking for just right the place. It literally took one year to find the perfect place. I can't say enough about my experience at KJs. Mr. Walker and his family are the sweetest, best family ran business I have EVER came across. From the hilarious little "Prince Cody" who completed my quote and transported me, to Mr. Walker who did a fantastic, thorough job that exceeded my requests and expectations, to sweet Mrs. Walker who is warm and motherly that I didn't even flinch at handing my cash payment over to her without any resentment. I saw the high end work Mr. Walker usually does with custom cars and my car did not require that level of repair as I just wanted her presentable but I felt he put the same level of care and quality in even that. I'm glad to read some good ratings of this place because I tried to get some work done there but gave up! It's located on San Leandro Ave which drivers think is a freeway. It was difficult slowing down to find the address and there's almost no street parking because almost all of the curb for blocks and blcoks is red. There were also no garage spaces in front of KJ's, just cars being serviced I guess. I tried to park momentarily in front of the driveway to the right of KJ's and was quickly shooed away by a worker. I searched for blocks for parking, risking being hit from behind by annoyed drivers. I finally found a space about 1/2 mile away in a really funky area. I sat in the car, said F*ck it! And heading to a nice, clearn and neat car dealer to get my work done. My recommendation for KJ's is to fix the parking problem, let customers know the deal, especially given the very unattractive location. read more

After a persistent--and clueless--parallel parker applied her rear bumper to the the front end of my beloved 1960 Fiat 500 several times, I was faced with finding a repair resource. An online search surfaced KJs, as well as a few other repair shops, that specialize in vintage autos. The existing Yelp reviews encouraged me to pay KJs a visit. Kenny greeted me at the door with a big smile and warm handshake. Unlike a few other shops I visited--and was refused because of the uniqueness of my Fiat--Kenny did not shy away from the project. In fact, he was excited and eager for the task. His warm demeanor and obvious knowledge made the decision easy. Kenny was incredibly patient as my insurance company worked its slow process. He kept me up to date, via emails and phone calls, along the way. Who does that?! The result is nothing less than showroom quality. Took our VW Bug into Kjs on a recommendation from a friend. This job was going to be a major job and Kenny accepted to job with no reservations. It took some time and last week we returned to see a beautiful job. The Bug looks better than when it first came out of the showroom. When closing the door it was airtight and the interior looked better than new. One could not ask for a better paint job.
