Got my lexus fixed her a while back. Took sometime to consider making a review now that I have more experience with other auto body shops. The first time I came to get an estimate, the guy tried to imply that my rim/tire was not caused by the accident rather "poor parking" when the driver side of my vehicle (where th damage was) ISNT even the side that parks on the street. When the passenger side tires is where the street parking goes. The quickly dismissed my concerns with replacing my tire/rim from the accident and I had to advocate saying that my driver side doesn't even park on the street. That's the passenger side that makes contact with the street when parking. They kept telling me "everything will be covered by insurance". No one walked me through what specific repairs were gonna happen with my lexus. I got a piece of paper and NO UPDATES at all. No emails or calls updating me on my vehicle. I was just told it will take 2 weeks. I got no clarity on what they meant by "limited unlimited warranty on repairs". Is that for the paint? The replacement sensors? One of the sensors came loose after a few months. SO DISAPPOINTED. I had to get it fixed. It's been roughly a year and the paint has chipped a bit on the back of my bumper. Makes me extremely disappointed that the paint did not last long especially because I chose this autobody for the great paint quality reviews. The back seat of my car has a scratch on the passenger side pocket. No one sits in the back ever & I'm the only one who drives my car and I don't drive anyone around. I noticed it after I picked up my car and I'm disappointed. I did appreciate the added effort to fix my sensor issues although they stated they didn't touch my front sensors and only fixed the back bumper & replaced the sensors for those which one ended up being loose after a few months. BUT when you replace sensors you need to fully calibrate them into my cars system so if my sensors aren't working in the front even though they weren't touched, it means when calibrating them with my cars system something went wrong. I appreciated them making an effort to resolve this issue though. Overall I would say there's a lot better auto shops in oakland like Uptown body & fender that will keep you CONSISTENTLY updated on your car and insurance process. I never got any updates or notification as to the supplements, insurance claims, the process of my vehicle specific day of pick up as it was getting closer to the end of the 2 weeks from Bay Bridge. Unlike other auto shops that keep me CONSISTENTLY updated, this one failed to do such. I received little to no information and was just told "insurance will cover it" when I care about my vehicle and what goes on with it. Coupled on the fact that my bumper has 2 paint chip marks off I'm disappointed in the quality of the vehicle painting. And the scratch on the backseat of my custom leather brown vehicle. I had this lexus shipped from the south to California. My car is my first child. It's a premium full collision sensor vehicle fully paid off no monthly deposit. Call me dramatic but after being able to have good experiences at different shops, I would say Bay Bridge needs to do a better job on updating their clients on what work is being done to their cars. We had an unfortunate accident at a bad time and were unsure of what to do. We got a recommendation for this business, so we had the car towed there. We've been to 2-3 body shops in the area over many years, and the work has always been good, but we weren't pleased with the service and the difficult process of paperwork, insurance company, rental car, etc. We'd never been to this shop but were desperate, so we just went there. We have never seen or been to any business with this place's standards, kindness, and helpfulness. We were upset and rattled, and though Ray had no idea that the car was coming, he just took over and told us right away what could be done, how to contact our insurance company, and how to understand their response, etc. We had to rent a car, and we like Enterprise. Ray just called, rented the vehicle, and had Enterprise come to the body shop to pick us up and take us there to get the car! We contacted the insurance company, and they wanted us to take many photos of the car and send them to them. We went to the shop to take the pictures, and Ray came out and took them all for us, and we just sent them to our insurance company. It would have taken hours for us to follow all the instructions for each photo, including the angles, distances, etc., that the company required. He then stored the car at no cost until the INS Company submitted their estimate for the damages. Unfortunately, they TOTALED the car. When we went to get our belongings out, he had already arranged for the INS company to pick the car up and arranged with Enterprise to extend our rental. We did nothing. He did it all for us. He then advised us on the car's value so we could evaluate the insurance company's offer. He looked up the comps they would use for us so we knew what was a fair price. Because of his help, we got a very fair price. We could not have gone through this without his incredible help and time spent with us (virtual strangers) We have been spending a year planning for a huge family event, which is now imminent. When Ray heard this, he became even more helpful and made it so much easier. This unexpected bad accident could have pushed us over the edge, but now we are easily past it because of him. Ray kept in constant contact with us even after hours and on weekends! UNHEARD OF! After five days of this wrangling and Ray spending hours helping us, we asked what we owed, and he said, "Nothing!" In our whole lives in the Bay Area, we have never dealt with a body shop or any business like this. We hope we don't have to go back for anything, but Bay Bridge Auto will be our lifetime body shop. We've shared our story with all of our family and friends, who were so impressed; we're sure they'll be going there, too. Easy. The process here with getting your car fixed is super easy. I think one of the drags of being in an accident or having to get your car repaired is working with insurance and body shops and making sure you're getting what you paid for. That is definitely not the case for this place I didn't have to call my insurance, they took care of everything. I just had to show up drop off my car, and someone was there to pick me up from enterprise. When your car is ready, you drive back in your rental car, you leave it at the body shop and they will return it for you... And then you're good to go with your car like brand new. They clean out your car and make it look like new on the inside as well as the outside. I had an issue where my paint was chipping off, and I just gave them a call and they fixed it for me super quickly, and there was no hassle in getting it fixed. It's always so weird finding a new car repair place, so I thought I'd write this one up in case anyone is looking for some car body repair. I see from all the ratings that our experience wasn't unique: top notch overall experience, and high quality repair work. Ray was our point of contact and was professional and did a fantastic job of communicating everything to us throughout the whole process. We ended up catching Covid on vacation so had to leave the car with them for a few extra days, which they were extremely cool about. Then when I went to go pick it up, it was extra shiny and nice. Dude tells me "we went ahead and polished your headlights"... what? I mean, it looks awesome, but who even does stuff like that? This place, that's who. Also, the repair work and paint looks flawless (our car got sideswiped by the garbage truck). Strongly recommend this business! I cannot say enough good things about this place. Last month an extremely large tree fell right on the hood of my car. My insurance recommended a few places in the area and I chose this one because it was the only place that could do the estimate and start repairs immediately. I could not be happier. They called multiple times to give updates and worked seamlessly with my insurance (State Farm was also amazing during this process if you don't like your insurance). The level of communication and customer care I received at Bay Bridge Autobody was exceptional and probably one of the best customer experiences I've had in a decade. Ray is incredibly warm. When I dropped my car off for repairs, after we did the assessment, he wasn't there but someone else was there. Ray called to apologize that he wasn't there and to explain when the car would be ready etc. They cleaned up my aged headlights and let me know one bulb was out, and they reattached my bumper free of charge. AND they completed everything a day early. This was a stark contrast from when my car was in a shop in 2015 for weeks and with little to no communication. Oh my god. Words can't even describe how incredible this auto shop is. I took my car in for a front bumper repair and David, Ray, & Rico were some of the most helpful, efficient, & informative people I've ever worked with. They gave me consistent & detailed updates, fixed my car in less than 48 hours, and helped with the entire rental car/insurance process as well. As a low-income person that works night shifts, they were so understanding about working with my schedule (several of them even offering to work during their lunch break because it was the only time I could come in) & giving complimentary services that other auto shops have never offered me. Additionally, as a non-man with very little knowledge about cars, I always worry about being scammed or overcharged for services. These men did the exact opposite. There wasn't a single moment that I felt unsafe, spoken down to, or taken advantage of (due to my lack of knowledge). I went Bay Bridge Auto Body to fix the rear bumper of my Volvo XC90 in early 2022. Ray is professional and responsive to have my car fixed. After nine months, I found my rear sensors on the rear bumper were off. I wrote an email to Ray to see if he can help me with this issue. I got into a finder bender in my black Genesis and it was pretty bad ..i told asked AAA to send me to the best and they sent me here. And boy am I glad they did!!
