The golf course is always in good shape and the price is reasonable compared to other courses in the area.

I'm guessing that this is a private/public golf course now. We played via golfnow for about $35. The course is easily worth that and more. In good condition, plenty of challenging holes. We played their blue tees, which is their back tees currently. My only gripe would be the 3 200 plus yard par 3s, that seemed a little excessive. But from any other tee, those holes are 150 or less. read more

NOT A BEGINNER FRIENDLY COURSE. I liked the course itself, but our group felt like we were being harassed by the marshall the entire time. We never held up the group behind us and had to wait on the group ahead at every tee, but we felt singled out when they suggested our wives should skip the hole...The marshall reminded us twice that we needed one golf bag per player even if 2 of us were traveling from out of town and we paid for 4. They seemed genuinely upset that we booked our tee time through Supreme Golf, but admitted their own website wasn't working at the time. We were still charged for 18 holes even though they told us we wouldn't be able to finish (1:50 tee time) and said we'd need to get our refund from Supreme Golf, who only charged $3 for the booking... if you live in the area I'm sure the course is great if you live in the area, but otherwise I would play elsewhere. read more

Best golf value in the Charlotte area, the afternoon walking and riding rates are the best I've found. Greens have been in great condition the number of times I've played this year. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is fairway and rough conditions. But it's easily one of the best public courses in the area. This is such a great course within an easy & reasonable drive from uptown Charlotte area. Fairways are a little on the shaggy side, but definitely not in bad condition. No bare spots or burnout, doesn't seem to be over saturated with play either so not too beaten up with divots. Greens are the highlight, while it's forgiving off the tee the the greens will keep you on your toes. Great course value as well! You simply cannot beat this course for the combination of quality, value, history and proximity. The front nine is Donald Ross course which while not overly long is a true test. Bring your "A" short game coz the greens are fast and small with many having a wonderful contours. You won't find any goofy holes either...no 280 yd dogleg right dumb holes. A great course for beginners too as there is only one hole with a water hazard that must be hit over. I like to walk this course and you will not be punished with 1/2 mile walks between every green-and-tee. Staff is friendly and you can get a hot dog and cold beverage for cheap. read more

Evan at the pro shop was easily the rudest person I've ever dealt with at any golf course. Very unprofessional and disgustingly rude. I highly recommend not playing this course. We had a 4 o'clock tee time and he told us we could not play 18 holes. Never been at a golf course where this was a problem. The sun sets at 8:30. After I proceeded to ask for his manager or the golf pro he failed to give me a business card or any information on who to speak with. Do not waste your time playing this course read more

I love this course. Front nine is a Donald Ross design ( very apparent in the saucer pan greens) which in my opinion is a lot tougher than the back. You really get that old school feel on the front. The back nine is a Tom Jackson design which has that newer golf course feel. The fairways are a lot wider. The conditions are always great and the greens are some of the first bermuda in CLT. We always have a great time here and the staff is very friendly even if you buy your tee time online. read more

I had a great time with my family as a early Father's Day present. The staff was very accommodating with my desire to be a single since I had my young kids with me and didn't want to be in a foursome. I was very impressed with the condition of the course despite the 100 degree temps. Greens rolled very well and were consistent. My only small issue was the lack of yardages on sprinkler heads. I found it difficult to find good yardages, this increases the challenge when playing the course for the first time. That aside I was happy with the experience and was well worth trip from Charlotte to play a new track. read more

A buddy and I took Friday afternoon off and went down to Monroe Country Club. Bought the rounds off of GolfNow and got a great deal. This course is a gem! Essentially two great courses in one as two different designers created the front and back nines. Greens are in great condition. Some fairways cut a bit long but nothing to complain about.
