Alia, the owner, acknowledged that the cleaning was unacceptable and that damaged had accrued, however, she was unwilling to help pay for the damage, and said we would need to take her to court. When we tried to take her to small claims court, it did not go to fruition because she provided a fake address and could not be reached by any means. Additionally, when the service was booked, it was advertised as "bonded and insured". However, Alia said that she was "in between insurances" and was not able to submit the damage to her insurance. Overall, there was massive damage, false advertising, and my husband and I were left with an enormous bill because of it. While I understand that COVID is an unprecedented time for small businesses, they are also unprecedented for A LOT of people. Treating people/customers that way is a horrible thing for any business/person to do. Needless to say, an $1,800 loss was a huge blow for us. Damage and negligence seen in images: - Cleaning product (Fabuloso - Dollar store product) and water was left on floor which warped the wood in almost all rooms of the apartment. The floor needed to be completely replaced (per our old landlord) - Cleaner that was used to clean oven was used on the kitchen sink / bathroom, and remanence was left all over the oven and counter. - The mirror was completely coated in smudges (likely also oven cleaner used) - Trash was left out in the hallway next to the front door - Dirty scrub brush left behind - Shower/tub looked dirtier than before it was cleaned Not only do I NOT recommend the company due to the quality of work/lack of help from the owner, I also warn the liability you are risking because if anything goes wrong/gets broken, you will not get a dime or likely even a response. Note, I guarantee the owner will respond saying this post is illegitimate with a false story. If that does happen, please do not believe her as it will be a complete lie. We live in an older home, and even though the crew encountered numerous obstacles/uncovered multiple problems while doing the repair (bad wiring/pvc pipes not glued together/toilets incorrectly installed), they didn't up their labor charge. The only thing that increased was material costs, which we were warned of in advance. The crew was courteous, punctual and professional. Azeez was so easy to communicate with and kept us up to date on schedules and timelines. The ceiling looks better than it did before, and we literally sleep better at night knowing all of our plumbing has been professionally repaired. Despite the fact that adding our house (in Alexandria) to their rotation of clients mainly in Arlington had its logistical challenges, they have not let that interfere with providing timely service. They send dates of service for 1 year in advance and coordinate at the beginning of the week for the exact time of arrival. These reminders are perfect to help us deconflict with our busy family schedule (and to remind us to straighten up before their arrival!). When it comes to the cleaning, their work is thorough and spotless. The first thing I see when I get home is the gleaming kitchen sink!! They do a wonderful job in the bathrooms, bedrooms, and with our floors. Any tricky area we ask about ahead of time (like a shower) is given extra attention at the next appointment. At the end of our appointment I asked for the receipt; he seemed caught off guard and mumbled he would need to get it from his Home Depot account. I said that's fine; do get it. He never followed up with it, despite me asking multiple times. I was at Home Depot two days later and saw the same hot water tank being sold for significantly less than what he told me it cost (and charged me for.) All signs point to him having simply ripped me off and charged me more than it cost. Leo, if you see this, you can make this right by just providing the receipt - it should still be accessible in your Home Depot account, and I would like it for tax rebate purposes still. I'm happy to update this review if you provide. Furthermore, the leaky sink he "fixed" by literally spending three min tightening a bolt? It went back to leaking the very next day, and I called someone else to handle because I didn't trust Leo again at this point. Leo charged me $125 for this. He offered to clean the loud bathroom vent fan, I said sure. My bad for not asking ahead of time what he would charge me for this 5-minute cleaning task, thought it would be reasonable - nope, another $125. I do not recommend him to anyone. When my husband made the appointment, he specified a 'move out' cleaning, and I personally stressed to the crew the windows, baseboards needed extra attention. I took for granted that when they arrived, they would know what they were supposed to clean, but in actuality, they diid not. It seemed they did a cursory wipe down of surfaces, most cabinets, and then mopped the bedroom and living room floors. The blinds were cleaned, but not all the windows. We still found dirty/dusty areas in the bathrooms and closets, and certaIn cabinet doors weren't even touched. They also didn't touch the kitchen floor, the stove, or the fridge. My husband reached out to the owner, Phil H via email, regarding the lack of attention to detail. Phil thanked my husband for emailing and not leaving a bad review, and assured my husband the work done by the team would be of no charge to us. BUT, we were still charged $351 - without any warning or further discussion with Phil. Another email was sent to Phil inquiring about this charge. Phil stated that the charge is just based on hours worked and the charge would have been higher had the crew stayed longer and been more attentive to the cleaning.
