This restaurant has since changed it's name from Klüddes Smokehouse & Saloon to "Cornerstone Barbeque". That said, the ambiance and basic menu remains pretty much unchanged. I still find the manner in which they serve food (especially steaks & meat dishes) atop a piece of paper on a tray vs. on a dish, irritating. I find it impractical to place a steak atop a piece of paper, such that as you attempt to cut the meat (or burger) with a serrated knife, your knife shreds the paper beneath, resulting in the kife catching & paper becoming 'one with your steak'. As far as the service is concerned, it's a small restaurant, so, if it's not busy (a good likelihood) service is good. read more

Four ladies met here for drinks and food on a Wednesday night. We sat outside, drinks arrived 20 minutes after ordering. Food was ordered, and arrived quickly after drinks. We clearly stated that we wanted to enjoy our drinks before dinner. The food was good, our server was friendly but very slow to check back on our table. This place would be 4+ stars if they invested in training their staff. IMO they had plenty of staff, they just are not customer focused. Thank you for the delicious food. First time at this location. Saw that they had burger specials on Wednesdays so we had to try one. The burger was very good and that coming from someone who doesn't eat burgers too often. This one was worth it. Very flavorful and cooked to perfection. The fries had a good seasoning on them and the elote was delicious. The burgers were $2 off on Wednesdays. Stopped by this place for a drink during Winter fest last Saturday nite. I ordered a house Vodka and tonic. I live in San Diego and one of my favorite places is George's at the cove in La Jolla. This place overlooks the ocean with a stunning view and if you order a drink you expect to pay for the view as well as the drink because of the location. My drink at Kludes was $8.80 the same cocktail at George's is $7.50 HELLO THIS IS YUCAIPA !! Not sure how they think that will be sustainable but I can tell you I will never get the chance to try the food because I will not be back at those prices. Good luck guys read more

Their hamburger was awesome. I think their "secret" ingredient is the bacon jelly. It was awesome. I was a little annoyed when I was told that to substitute fries for a half salad would cost extra. On the menu a half salad cost less than the fries. I brought up that fact and wasn't charged extra. But to be fair perhaps she thought I wanted a full salad. It took a while for the food to get to the table, but that could be due to a late arrival at the restaurant approx 2 pm. TL:DR: Service was horrible. Waited over an hour for food until we decided to get up an leave. People that got there later than us got their food before us. Save your experience, Do not come here. Our server comes over and tells us " our food is on the way" then hits us with a " would you like some forks and knives for your food"? As if we were ok with eating with our hands instead. After an hour and a half of waiting and seeing other people, who got there later than us, getting their food, we had enough. Talked to the hostess about our experience and left. $10 for what was supposed to be a "sex on the beach" but instead received an oversized shot glass with ice filled to the top. You can tell the size of the glass by the little lemon hanging off the side. 4 sips and the drink was gone. What a Rip off. I mentioned it to the waitress and she said "would you like to order another one". I said "no thank you. I don't really want to pay $10 for another cup of ice that had little to no alcohol." Walked in and stood in front of the host station for a min with out any type of greeting or recognition of any sort from any employee. There was not any type of "plz wait to be seated" sign so we decided to grab an empty table. I don't know about you, but if I was the owner of a restaurant, and there was no cook, I would be here cooking.Cmon, this used to be a great restaurant. What is going on? (I added a star merely because it exists) There were only restrooms, one the look was broken, the other one was D.I.R T.Y! Cute little location next to brewcaipa. Parking is limited in old town Yucaipa. I'll have to come back for lunch/dinner but the armadillo wrap wasn't as spicy as I thought it was going to be with the jalapeño. The tatter tots was a big size serving with a lot of flavor that my friend got. I didn't like how the beer list was on a screen where you had to stand and go look at. I think a QR code would be much more efficient where they're able to still modify their list online therefore not having to print out a new list of beers when they change it. Absolutely terrible service and mediocre food at best. Ordered ribs to split with the wife, 10 mins later was told they were out. Got tri-tip instead and it came out cold and only delivered it on 1 plate, after explicitly telling the server we were splitting our plate. Drinks took forever to get refills. Ordered a drink from the bar during dinner and it showed up after our table was cleared. Heard the song WAP 3 times in less than 45 mins. That's the short version. This is a newly opened restaurant, so a group of us went for lunch yesterday to give them a try, and they did not disappoint! Warm and friendly service and always attentive. The burgers were stacked a mile high; the brisket was flavorful and smokey. One person in our group raved over the elk chili. I've never had a Monte Cristo, so I had to try that and enjoyed the homemade berry compote that accompanied the sandwich. It was so large, I took half of it home when the server recommended to heat it up in the air fryer, so I was able to get two meals out of my order. With apple season almost here, give this place try, and I will definitely be back! read more

I love most of the food. I've been here several times. I simply can't get over the prices here. They have a "happy hour" that is abysmal. The Redlands Klüddes actually has some items on their happy hour that make it somewhat worth it, but the Yucaipa happy hour isn't good at all. They have daily "specials" but still not worth it in my opinion. The drink prices are too high for what they are. I eat out a lot. There are SEVERAL better options for food and drinks for comparable prices. The New York strip steak was just "okay". Quite a bit of fat on it and it seemed like it wasn't a very fresh piece. Probably why it was on special. They have a lot of tv's which is great if you're there for a game. So the ambiance is good, just really small. Don't go here with a big party, they likely won't be able to accommodate you. If you want better service with just 2 people, I recommend sitting at the bar. The service is so much better at the bar than if you sit at any of the high tops or tables. They tend to forget about you unless you're right in front of them. We came here for our first time this pass Saturday. After been next door. When we walk in, we see full bar all seats taken. Some tables open in the rest of the place. We sat by the voltwhich we liked. No server to take our drinks. So is ok. I went over to the bar and for our beers. My husband and I wanted to see the menu.
