We stopped by Fire Rock Burgers & Brews after a friend's golf competition. Overall, it was a decent experience. The inside has a really cool, laid-back vibe, and it's one of the few sit-down spots nearby without having to drive farther out, which definitely made it a convenient choice at the time. Our server was friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. I'm giving it a 3 mainly because the food didn't quite wow me. I ordered the Californication burger with pepper jack cheese, firewood-roasted green chiles, applewood-smoked bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, avocado, and chipotle aioli. It sounded incredible, but for me, it ended up being a little underwhelming and not as flavorful as I had hoped. We also shared the poke nachos, which were pretty tasty, along with carne asada fries. I especially enjoyed the regular fries as they were crispy and well-done, just how I like them. The carne asada fries looked great and had good potential, but they felt slightly under-seasoned, so the flavors didn't fully come through. I didn't try any of the beers myself, but my friend mentioned hers wasn't as cold or as flavorful as she expected. That said, it may have just been an off moment. Overall, it's a fun spot with a great atmosphere, and it looks like they might have live music on certain nights. Since we were just in town briefly for the golf competition, we didn't hang out too long. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a plus. While the food may not have been a standout for me personally, it's still a solid option if you're looking for a lively place to grab a bite and enjoy the vibe.

Still one of our all-time favorites. Such a wonderful family owned restaurant/bar with live entertainment every weekend. Great people, yummy menu, local affordable, and so much fun. This place is family friendly, but it does get pretty loud. The outdoor patio is wonderful and has ample heaters. Don't miss this hidden gem in the inland empire. Wonderful night out.

I've been here twice. We sat on the patio both times. Dog friendly restaurant. Service is really good. Very nice and attentive servers. I really like their food. Their burgers are delicious. Really good onion rings and cream cheese and jalapeño wontons. Their ice tea is super fresh. It hits the spot as well. I'll be back for a third visit.

Food has always been good when we go....(been about 7 times) also like the beer choices....service does need a little help sometimes as it does seem like they're short staffed on some of the times we have gone

Stopped in on a Saturday evening for dinner. It wasn't too crowded, and they had live music. Ot was a nice easygoing environment. Although the servers seemed to be running a little crazy. We asked our server, who we really liked and was very attentive, why they all seemed a little frazzled and she salad it was because they had been slow lately so they cut alot of hours. This hurt when it got busy, and it caused them to have to run. The food took a little longer to come out, but it was still really good. We got the pretzel bites and the avocado rolls to start. The kids devoured the pretzels in a matter of seconds! Haha! The avocado rolls were worth coming here for alone! Soo good! My son got the carne asada fries as his meal and he said they were pretty good, and wished they came in a bigger portion as a meal. Hubby got the House of the Rising Sun Burger and he said it did not disappoint. It had all the flavor profiles that checked all his boxes. I kept it simple with the Desperado Burger. It was cooked perfectly, and the flavor was really good. Even though to me it is more of a bar setting to me they accommodate kids here in a pretty good way. Their meals come out in a cute guitar shaped metal basket, and both kids were happy with their meals! They also gave them a coloring page of a guitar pick to color and hang on the wall. They absolutely loved that! They were so proud once their artwork went up to be displayed! The decor is all old band posters, tapestries, album covers, and guitars, and mood lighting on the dimmer side. Its not cheezy at all. They did a great job with the decor. The bathrooms were clean and still kept with the theme of the decor. Its nice that Beaumont/Calimesa has a restaurant that isnt fast food, or a chain restaurant. We definitely need more of these places. Good food, good people, good vibe, I hope this place is around for a long time.

The flat bread with chicken was good and drinks too but the carne asada fries like how can someone mess up carne asada fries.... Service was slow, while they were busy we tried to flag down a waiter-3 walked by we were ignored by all 3. Finally was given check and at that point it's when we were being asked if we wanted refills or anything else like too late...

    I'm not sure 🤔

Do they carry domestic beers or just craft beers?

They only carry craft beers. If you're into lighter beers, they do have Stone's Buenaveza Salt & Lime Lager on draft. Hope this was helpful.

    Is there Happy Hour?

No, they don't have Happy Hour.

Anyhow, all that talking got us hungry, and I had to be careful with what I could eat thanks to a temporary crown from a root canal. Yikes! As such, Dad suggested this restaurant in a shopping center in Beaumont that's easy to overlook because it's surrounded by healthcare offices. It was a Sunday evening, and we could watch sports, and unbeknownst to us, lots of karaoke (varying degrees of talent), while we dined. My soft food of choice was the lasagne. Our friend got the Mac and cheese, while Dad went for the spaghetti and sausage. Service was good considering how busy the restaurant was. Lots of families and groups were there, and the food arrived before too long, so props to the kitchen staff. Full marks for portions, appearance, and how warm the meals were upon arrival. I had to be careful, but with some enjoyment lost from eating slowly in one side of the mouth, I realized this was a very good lasagne. The Mac and cheese looked great, too, and Dad commented on how good the sausage was. I ate everything except for the garlic bread, due to my situation. A small nibble suggested full flavor, but it wasn't worth the risk since my dentist office was closed until Tuesday. All-in-all, I would come back if I found myself in the area.

Absolutely loved our last minute find at Uptowner Pub and Patio!…read more We stumbled across this cozy, cabin-like gem (with the help of the Yelp app of course) while visiting family in town. Honestly, the only thing I regret is not finding it sooner in the day. We had mediocre drinks and food at restaurant nearby and needed to cleanse our palettes with quality beer. Uptowner is a bit tucked away down a driveway with another building in front, but it's worth seeking out! There's a small parking lot to the right of the patio, which was super convenient for us. As soon as we walked up, we felt welcomed by the warm, all-wood cabin vibes and the friendly presence of a couple of locals hanging out on the outdoor patio. The wraparound bar inside is gorgeous, and their tap list blew me away. Over 20 options, including ciders and sours! If beer isn't your thing, they also offer soju cocktails, plus cans and cool specialty drinks in glass bottles to-go. Their restrooms are single occupancy and located behind saloon-style swinging doors, such a fun touch! Everything was super clean and well-maintained. I want to highlight something I noticed in other reviews: Steve, the owner, absolutely does NOT deserve the negative feedback. Yes, he might come across as a bit stern at first, but he's really customer-focused and easy to talk to. Maybe on a busy night, things get hectic, but we chatted with him about the bar's history and surviving COVID. He was welcoming and gracious, and even let us finish our drinks in peace at closing. He made us feel genuinely valued. Can't wait to come back, and we're already planning a trip just for Uptowner. Thank you, Steve, for a memorable evening in a truly unique spot! Highly recommended.

I hate the fact that I even have to write this review…read more My wife and I came to this restaurant about an hour ago with our 3 year old autistic son. He has several sensory and transitional issues and one of the things he struggles with in particular is sitting in a chair of any kind. However, he does extremely well with standing next to the table and playing with his toy cars so we didn't think there would be an issue. We were greeted right away and taken to a table in the back of the restaurant. Our server immediately asked if we wanted a high chair or if he'd be sitting in a normal chair, and we declined the high chair (as he abosolutely will start screaming and losing his mind if he's put into a high chair). She left to get us a couple glasses of water. While she was gone, my son alternated between sitting in my lap or standing next to me, quietly playing with his car. He then walked over to my wife (who was sitting across from me at the same table) and did the same. Around this time, the server comes back and tells me that the store owner has a policy that says my son MUST sit in a chair and is not allowed to stand. I'm sorry...what? We were pretty stunned and just said ok, and tried to put him in the chair at our table. Queue the IMMEDIATE meltdown/screaming, flailing fit that my AUTISTIC son had because he has a disability. My wife had to take him out of the restaurant and we had to switch our order to-go, and the whole time I felt like the staff was just staring at us, or at me once my wife and son left. Mind you, it wasn't like our son was running around the restaurant or causing a ruckus. He was standing next to us at our table, quietly regulating himself by playing with a toy. Unfortunately this restaurant chose to be discriminative against our son's disability. To the owner of The Haus Bistro, you and your staff should be ashamed of yourselves. I'm no lawyer but what happened tonight seems like it might be illegal and I fully intend on following up with legal counsel to determine whether or not our rights have been violated. I have never heard of a restaurant forcing its patrons to leave if they don't sit in a chair. We are locals and will be sharing this story with others. We won't be back and will be encouraging others to go elsewhere.
