We came here after Legoland and it was just as good as the last time. We were a large group so we did one charcoal and one regular gas grill. It was a perfect combo because the pork belly, teriyaki chicken, and mushrooms were unbelievable better on the charcoal while the thin brisket and ribeye was best on the gas grill. Bonus - it was a hot day so the drinks were the best part of the meal! Our favorite was the sparkling lime refresher and fresh coconut. Also, I don't like my drinks too sweet so our server suggested to adjust my drinks sweetness level which was very helpful. It was a really busy during our visit and they needed to refill a lot of the raw and cooked food sections, which they did pretty quickly.

To the Owner: Please update your website to correctly reflect the pricing difference between the gas and charcoal options. The current statement indicating they are the same price is inaccurate. We visited on Sunday, Aug. 16 for lunch. Our group of five adults and two children arrived at noon and were seated promptly. I requested the charcoal option (main reason I chose to try it here), but was informed it was priced at $37.99 per person, while the gas option was $30.99. When I mentioned that the website listed both at the same price, the staff member insisted the pricing was different. This was very disappointing, as the charcoal option was the primary reason I chose this restaurant for my family. Due to time constraints and not being able to move to our usual Korean BBQ spot instead, we opted for the gas option. We were told we could begin with the buffet. As first-time customers, we did not realize we needed to take the entire tray of protein rather than selecting individual pieces. Unfortunately, we were yelled at by staff instead of being politely informed. The staff's demeanor improved later on, but the initial experience was unsettling. Pros: * Prompt seating. * Self-serve buffet for meats and side dishes, with reasonable portion sizes and no wait time. * Good ice cream selection (vanilla, green tea, chocolate, and strawberry) included in the price. * Beer and boba drink options available for an additional charge. Cons: * Misleading website information regarding gas vs. charcoal pricing. * Protein and sauce quality and variety were decent but not exceptional. * Side dishes lacked quality and variety. * No corn cheese available. Overall, this restaurant is acceptable for a quick and affordable lunch KBBQ fix. However, for higher-quality meats and especially better side dishes, I would recommend choosing another restaurant.

My husband and I came here with a Groupon we bought and it was such a steal, $40 for two sign me up! I've only been to a couple of Korean bbq spots and this one was the first that had a self service buffet style. The selection was quite diverse with beef, pork, chicken, and various seafood options. My only gripe would have to be the corn cheese...I look forward to this delicious side every time I go to Manna, however, it just did not slap my booty off here as they don't do it in the skillet :/ Anyhoo! Overall, great food and great service!

I love this BBQ spot compared to the rest in the area. You can do what you want apart from the tables wants and needs because it is buffet style. I don't care for short ribs as much as my husband, so as he filled his plate I can focus on things I'll actually eat without feeling like I need to help him out with a set portion. You take what you actually want without feeling like you need to be dedicated to a whole serving of something you don't love. Service is quick clean and fun even on a busy night. My family came for dinner table of 6 and they helped us so fast, with drinks and switching out our grills when they're burnt. They're a few bucks cheaper than competitors in the area and their more authentic atmosphere and flavors keep me coming back Thanks

This place generally hit all the basics of a Korean bbq. We came for the lunch special, which for the price was fair. Very Self-Serve, we thankfully came at a not so busy time, but I could imagine that being competitive if it got busy. The meat quality was good, service was great, never had to ask to get my water refilled. My only tiff was the charcoal grilling was very advertised, but didn't seem available when we ate. I was under the impression that's how we'd be eating before we arrived but was given otherwise. Ambience was no frills Korean bbq.

Totally my good to spot when I am feeling like a fat boy! Enjoy everything about this place. Smaller Korean BBQ restaurant outside of Korea! But pack with quality service and menu items. As far as an AYCE this my only recommendation in the North County. Highly Recommended!

Out of the 11 items I tried, only 3-4 items were passable as decent The food was salty The black pepper chicken tasted like fish The food ended up giving my bubble guts the bubble guts-SHEESH! While there were loads of offerings, which I appreciate, the organization of said offerings were a bit strange. The hibachi was set-up going left to right, while the food stations on either side of it were going right to left, creating this crazy clash of people heading in opposite directions. BUT this one ain't it! There were a handful of items that were decently edible like mashed potatoes and gravy. The salad bar was also alright. It's difficult to mess up chopped lettuce mix because it only requires opening a bag or container and pouring the contents into the bin. Fried chicken was fine as long as you are able to get a piece or two. I noticed if you come in later in the evening, the food is not replenished so you are stuck with bottom of the bin caked on dry remnants. Here are the highlights: the server bringing the drinks and busing tables was doing her best to be happy and welcoming. One of the cooks was very courteous and also did her best to anticipate customer needs. They get two thumbs up! Now for the fun part: The clam chowder was too salty and had an aftertaste of old dirty towel, promising a fitting end to my evening with a bad tummy ache. The cook making the steak didn't seem to care about communicating a single word with the customers. Her sole purpose was to repeatedly flip something that looked like meat and point to a bin full of burned protein hockey pucks. I noticed how the line of hungry patrons grew with eager anticipation as she stopped flipping and started attempting to slice. As each diner finally walked away with something on their plate, she was free to disappear in the back to probably make more clam chowder. I watched a couple seated near me with steak on their plate. Husband was breaking a sweat trying to slice a piece while his wife was busy trying to gracefully eject something inedible from her mouth. Now on to the pinnacle of the meal - dessert time. There wasn't much left, so I chose a slice of pecan pie. It looked promising, like something you could pick up at the local grocery store, but that's where any similarity ends. It tasted old and stale, like it was made from expired corn syrup found at the bottom of the moldy basement. The soft serve ice cream machine was screaming like an exit door alarm every time someone pulled the arm to coax out some frozen ice milk. Then I spotted the highlight of the evening. I didn't think it was possible to mess up jello, but heck you learn something new everyday. I captured that masterpiece in a photo. Sadly, the owner of this location really needs to put many improvements in place. People do enjoy going to buffets and truly miss Souplantation and HomeTown Buffet. Golden Corral has the potential to fill this gap. It is in a good location anchored by Target with lots of parking to serve a busy neighborhood in oceanside. It also has a few employees who still care to do a good job. So please take the good location and good staff and make this Golden Corral a worthy business for hungry patrons looking to spend money at a place with quality food and variety.

The staff was on it when it comes to clearing our table. They were efficient and friendly, that's about it. We went on Sunday lunch, arrived around 1ish. It wasn't packed, but a lot of containers were empty. Steak. They didn't have a consistent person there, at times people just waited until someone showed up. They also gave super rare meat. The outside was nicely charred, but the inside, pure red. Unfortunately, the attendant lady making it didn't speak English and luckily, a gentleman waiting with us was able to translate for us. We were asking for medium. It was still given to us super rare. Also, it was pretty much unsanitary or cross contamination as they used the same tong to grab raw meat, grill the meat, then put the meat on our plate. I'm talking about she's using the same tong mid way grabbing raw meat and flipping and giving us our steak. Food signage was all over the place. About 50% (or more) was off. So don't even bother reading those, just assume what you're grabbing. Everything tasted bland or generic, like no name brand food just got heated and put on the platter, same for the salad items. Like I mentioned, you go here to get full. We got buy one get one free meal, so essentially, for $11 per person, it's a great deal, but I'd never pay full price for them. I'd rather go to a Chinese Buffet and enjoy some fried rice. I knew what I was expecting in terms of quality. I would have probably given them more stars if they didn't have so many empty stations (which sat empty for a long time). Oh, they eventually had ham, but oh man, that was super dry! I did enjoy their pina colada slurpee, fried chicken, and chocolate covered dessert .

They refilled our water carafe before it was completely empty, changed our grills before we asked, and took away empty plates as soon as we cleared them.
