Located in a Ralph's shopping center in Oceanside, right off the 76. Plenty of parking in the shopping plaza. The outdoor windows are covered with menu items, so that was interesting to see as I walked up. The inside decor is nice with colorful lights, nice photos on the walls, clean, and modern looking. The staff was friendly and my to go order was ready and waiting. They made sure what utensils and sauces were needed and got me out the door pretty quickly. I tried the mini plate of pineapple chicken, rice, macaroni salad. It was exactly what I was wanting and expecting, it hit the spot. Tasty and warm. The macaroni salad was flavorful, not bland and boring like most places. The pineapple chicken and rice combo were great, the chicken was moist, and had a little kick with some red flakes of spice. I would definitely go back and try it again. Photos attached.

Found the location through Yelp and wasn't too far from the hotel so I made the trek. Checked out the menu which was very similar to most Hawaiian type places. They had one dish called Pineapple Chicken which I have not seen before at a Hawaiian place so I asked the guy working the register. He wasn't sure so he asked the cook but he did not know how to describe it so the guy pulled out a book with photos to show me what it looked like. It basically looked like sweet and sour chicken. I went with the mini teriyaki beef plate. It was a lot of food considering it was a mini plate. The beef was tender and they give you some extra sauce which was pretty good. I always like the macaroni salad with Hawaiian food. All in all, not bad. Would repeat.

The last couple visits were so diffrent from our first visit. While the food tastes amazing, we were highly disappointed the last two times we were here. Both times we dined in and both times our food came out cold. We waited for a while before they brought out our food so we assumed they were making it fresh. My husband and I shared the Katsu mixed plate. The food was not hot at all. The katsu was not Krispy. The meat and rice were warm. I thought the food was made to order. It seems as if they kept it under a warming light. We will give it one last try.

This is a great place for Hawaiian fare. We had the Chicken Katsu Curry and Teriyaki Beef Bowl. Both my husband and I were very happy with our meal. My meal, the teriyaki bowl, arrived on a plate though the name says "bowl". It threw me for a moment as I thought I ordered the wrong thing. Topped with green onion and sesame seeds. Yes, please! It's not always a topping I see on this type of meal at other places. I was excited to have my teriyaki bowl include a good portion of vegetables. (Other places will only have a broccoli head and a couple of carrot slices in theirs.) Not a piece of food was left on that plate. I definitely enjoyed it from start to finish. My husband wanted to try their version of katsu curry. He enjoyed his meal as well. Only thing he'd like to have added would be potatoes and carrots. It didn't diminish from the experience. He also cleaned his plate. Loved the mac salad. Also loved the abundance of green onions. Looking forward to the next meal because there are so many other items we're interested in trying.

Amazing! The food here is soooo good. I get their kalua pork with cabbage, mac salad and chicken teriyaki musubi usually. I also had them catered my son's birthday party and we had the pineapple fried rice too. Everyone raved about the food. So glad to finally have a solid Hawaiian spot near by.

Happy to have a Hawaiian BBQ place that is close so that I can get my Hawaiian food fix! Got the Portuguese sausage & eggs! Yum! For those times I want a heartier breakfast!

We were visiting california and driving back towards San Diego when the kids and I got hungry and decided to stop by for food literally 30 minutes before closing because we wouldn't have made it back to San Diego in time for any place to still be open. Even with us coming in 30 minutes before closing they were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating . We got the seafood platter and the mix barbecue platter and I will say the mixed meat platter was probably our favorite , we just got like the seafood partner didn't have seafood. Delicious food and great portions?

Here is the screenshot of the voucher agreement which shows that we paid $25, not $12.50 for the voucher to receive a $50 gift certificate.

I was excited to support a local, new business who recently opened up. I really wanted it to be good. I really enjoy Hawaiian/ Japanese food. I enjoy all of the restaurant options in the Old Grove shopping center. In my opinion, the food and service at Dalu is seriously lacking. The service was not friendly, nor accommodating, despite the owner, Luis, claiming on this page that they have pride in their warm, welcoming Aloha spirit. Imo, the mac salad lacked flavor, the Chicken Katsu was not tender and the mixed plate with the ribs was stringy and grisly. On top of that, I bought (2) $50 vouchers from KUSI Be Your Guest, which should have given us $100 worth of food, but because the cashier, the manager and the owner, didn't understand how it worked or chose to not honor the original agreement they made when they agreed to do the vouchers, I essentially did not receive 50% off, but rather I just pre-paid for my food. I tried to explain this to both the cashier and the manager, meanwhile through all this, my food is just sitting there and getting cold. Both in-store employees did not understand what I was trying to say and they had me call the owner. The owner said that I had only paid $12.50 for each voucher, which simply was not true. At first, she was going to have me screenshot the vouchers that I have read from, but then, changed her mind. She had the employee read me the voucher instructions, which was such a waste of time because it didn't address my issue. She told me to complain to the place where I bought the vouchers. I felt that because this business handled my situation so poorly, I will only choose businesses who appreciate my business and agree to honor the agreements they make with a third party.

This place is really hidden away in a shopping plaza away from the beach. I was amazed finding Lau Lau on their menu. It's not easy to find a place with other foods besides the popular or typical Hawaiian food favorites. I ordered Lau Lau, lumpia, Hawaiian Sun drink & luau BBQ chips. They even had Hawaiian donuts on the menu only 2 favors. Great menu selection. If you are missing Hawaiian foods it's a must place to try. I would come back here again.

I have no idea why there are 1 and 2 star reviews for this place. Something about the cost of the canned drinks and another about the cashier not knowing what spices were in the food. What is that all about?! Do you ask your cashier at McDonald's what's in a Quarter Pounder with Cheese? Rant over... This place is awesome! The service was super friendly. We got the spam musubi, teriyaki beef bowl and Loco Moco Mini plate. Everything was hot, fresh and tasty. Plus, the portions were ample! Definitely worth the money. My friend couldn't even finish her bowl! In closing, they may have had some growing pains when they first opened but they definitely worked out the kinks. Ignore the haters & picky rickys and come give this new local joint a go. L&L and Ohana have stiff competition here!

Brand new spot alert! This Hawaiian place just opened near my house (between Burn Body Boot Camp, Love Boat Sushi, and Graziano's Pizza) and it's such a gem. The inside is fresh, clean, and beachy, and the team couldn't be friendlier. For their soft opening we tried the katsu plate, the Korean BBQ chicken, and a kids' cheeseburger + fries, big portions, great flavor, and the mac salad was chef's kiss. (Because honestly... if a Hawaiian place doesn't nail the mac salad, what are we even doing? ) Plates run about $17-20, kids meals around $10, and it's so worth it. This already feels better than any other casual Hawaiian spot around, so happy they opened, and we'll definitely be back.

we support new business that open in our neighborhood! That's us! BUT when you are charge $ 8.98 for 2 HawaiinSun drinks!!! It's shocking! Big rip off!!! To the owner of this food place maybe we are just 1 of your costumers but common $ 4.49 each can drinks! To Oceanside community if you're going to try this place and your craving for this Hawaiian drinks get it at DIaSo or KYOTO Japanese market! ! But if you're willing to pay $ 8.98 for 2 drinks then enjoy!

It used to be…read moretheir spot, so I thought, what better way to honor him than with ribs, mac and cheese, and a hopeful attitude? We ordered the 3 meats plate with a side of mac and cheese, thinking we'd leave in a food coma. Plot twist: for $45, we basically split a light snack. We asked for double ribs, but apparently ribs are weighed like gold here--so we got just a few sad little bones. When I asked the bartender, she hit me with a "it's weighted meat" and shrugged. Oh. Okay. Guess we're on a portion control diet now. The BBQ sauce? Meh. My mom and I both agreed it was giving "needs a little more love." The corn? Tasted like it defrosted just for us. Still decent, but not for the price tag. The mac and cheese though? A win. Warm, cheesy, and the only thing that arrived hotter than my mild frustration. Now let's talk service. Our bartender vanished mid-meal (poof! just like the ribs), didn't say bye, and didn't introduce her replacement. Instead, she sat at the bar with her friends while we played a fun game of "Where's Our Server?" Spoiler: we lost. Had to ask multiple times for refills. Not quite the relaxing "mom night out" I had in mind. My mom summed it up perfectly: "The prices went up, and the service went down." Poetry. Also, shoutout to the guy next to us who tried ordering half the menu only to be told, "Yeah, we're out of that" over and over. Management, a quick stock check might be helpful for you guest Lastly, don't come here if you're starving or in a rush. Our food took forever and was colder than my ex's heart by the time it arrived--minus the mac and cheese, the MVP. Would I come back? Maybe. But only after a snack and a pep talk. Management, if you're reading this, we just want hot food, a heads-up when the server disappears, and ribs that don't need a microscope to be seen. Is that too much to ask?

I like that this place uses the Yelp waitlist because I put my name down as we were on our way over and arrived just in time. We were seated quickly on a Saturday evening around 6 pm. There are a good amount of tables inside. They also had some TVs showing baseball games around. The service was amazing here. It felt like the waiters and waitresses were constantly eyeing our table to see if we needed anything or were ready to order more. They refilled our water carafe before it was completely empty, changed our grills before we asked, and took away empty plates as soon as we cleared them. I also appreciated that they put salt or something on the ground so it wasn't too slippery. The only complaint I had about the place was that it was really hot but I could see the waitresses were also really hot as they fanned themselves walking around. The food were was actually pretty solid for an ayce restaurant. We got the deluxe plan which is the cheaper option for $30.99. The brisket came with some salt and pepper on it and looked like a better cut than I've seen at other places. We also got some kalbi which came without the bone which is so nice because we didn't have to cut it off and have little meat left over. My husband and I also really liked the marinated steak. I typically like non marinated meat better but the steak was tender and the marinade wasn't too sweet. I used the salt to help cut the sweetness and wrapped it in a lettuce with some radish. I really liked all the meats we tried here. They also have really good sides here that you can't get anymore at a lot of kbbq places like the steamed egg or corn cheese plate. All of the food options were so good and I left very stuffed. I would definitely recommend then kbbq ayce restaurant to anyone in the area!

Two orders of the sweet chili glazed (Pine Doni) and one of the other which was like a honey bbq glazed style. All were supposed to have 6 wings, but the honey BBQ one had 5 (?). The sweet chili was our fave of the two. Their chicken empanadas were huge, and served 3 per dish, were delicious and crispy, with an aioli like sauce with a wonderful kick. The spam roll was a masubi-like and was good (husband said it was the best he's ever had). The side of mac salad had great flavor! Jaz brought us some red rice to try on the house and it was really good! It reminded me of Vietnamese chicken rice, with chicken broth infused into the rice, making it really tasty and savory.
