Bagels were very big,but slightly squished which makes it hard to appreciate the inside texture. Good flavor for the salt and plain bagels that had a nice crust. The strawberry and cinnamon raisin lacked in flavor. Also available to purchase are muffins, and typical breakfast sandwiches.

How they wrapped our bagel ?

Making it 3 stars only because the business did try to remedy the issues. This Knead A Bagel is located on Park Ave, central to another very popular and well established bagel spot in town, so I was eager to check it out. Came here around 10:30 & it had a decent number or people. During our time there, it got incredibly tight. Think it's been open around a week. The location is quaint, with a small bar area with about 5 bar stools, so def a more grab & go spot. It was superrrrrrr busy so it was difficult to get by in the tight space and no one could figure out where the line started, ended or who was in line to order or who was waiting. We were not acknowledged when we entered at all and had to wait around 10 minutes to order. The woman who was taking orders was also toasting bagels & doing other things. Finally, our order was taken & the woman seemed confused. She wasn't sure if they had certain ingredients and didn't seem sure about what the orders came with etc. After we ordered, we asked if we should pay - but we wanted coffee, too. She told us the coffee was free (very nice!) Not sure if it will be an all the time thing. We waited 40 minutes!!! We began to notice that all the people waiting were people that weren't there prior. We asked about our order. The woman we spoke to went to the back & said they were working on it then. we waited maybe 5 more mins. For the long wait, they were gracious enough to give us 2 more bagels and also charged us less, which they did not have to do. We appreciated that but I do have some suggestions: 1st & foremost they need to establish some organization. The lady who took our order, in my opinion, was doing too many other things. The line was super long but they can make the line start & end & waiting area more intentional with signage, maybe. Also, having a number or taking the last name would be helpful instead of calling the whole order out every time something was ready. When we got home - we noticed my bagel wasn't even wrapped well with enough foil. Prob because they were rushing to get it out. Overall, not the best experience but I will give them the benefit of the doubt as they just opened and I will be trying & updating my review soon.

I love their coffee. I love their breakfast pastry (LOVE), their blueberry cinnamon rolls, the chocolate puffs-- everything. They chatted with everyone and were extremely open to us asking for recommendations. They even accommodated request for our a corner piece from the tray of cinnamon rolls :) Seems like a bit of a silly request but they did not make us feel bad about it at all, and happily boxed it up for us. We got a blueberry cinnamon roll, the brown butter banana bread, and a turkey BLT. Plus a honey lavender latte for my daily caffeine dose. The cinnamon roll was fluffy and the icing with blueberry topping were perfectly balanced. It was not overly sweet! I don't particularly enjoy banana, but the brown butter banana bread was divine. It wasn't dry nor overly moist and was the perfect bread/cake hybrid texture. The brown butter icing added an additional layer of nuttiness. The turkey BLT was served on their foccacia with tomatoes from a farmer's market - recommended by the staff. This was a great savory addition and they didn't skimp on the turkey bacon. The tomato was juicy but not too watery, and held its own in the sandwich. I didn't think I'd be writing about the tomato but it was very fresh and high quality! It's obvious they care genuinely about the menu items they put out, and the service they provide. It was a bit pricey, but well worth it. I can't wait to visit again.

When we walked inside, we were seated immediately. I ordered the Garden Gathering omelette which normally comes with a side of homefries and toast. I substituted the homefries for a cup of fresh fruit. I also tried a small pancake from my mom which was very fluffy and light. The portions were pretty good and the food was fresh. The prices are reasonable. Service was prompt and the food came out fast once we ordered. When we were leaving there was a pretty large crowd waiting to be seated. Overall, it's a solid, classic breakfast spot right in the heart of downtown Rutherford.
