My friends love this place but I always leave feeling ripped off.... My friend is getting married and she wanted the bridal party to go out and get our nailed done together. I got a pedicure and they all got manicures. When I sat in the chair I told him I just wanted the basic pedicure $35. He then said my calluses were bad so it would be an addition $10. I said that was fine. I then picked a color that closely matched my bridesmaids dress. He grabbed the color and did the pedicure like normal. I thought he did a great job! When it came time to pay she said it was $60?!? I was like, how is that possible? I did the basic pedicure and the $10 callus removal. She said it was the polish I chose... I didn't realize the polish was $15.... I was a little taken back but also holding up the line so I didn't say anything. I did tip him $15 so the total was $75. I remember this happening last time I went for a manicure. They always seem to find a way to over charge me but still do a great job so I feel obligated to tip well. My friends love this place so I only go when they really want to. I felt like I couldn't say no this time cause the bride asked all of us to go. I will definitely be more careful when picking polish colors and asking how much before they put it on. read more

It's my first time here and before i spend alot of money i would like to try the service first. I had a basic Pedi and Mani which is literally pretty basic. The pedicure was ok but the manicure was pretty lame. Very poor quality service she did. Am usually generous on tip but this time i made an exception. I have to re-do my fingers nails. I've only been to this nail salon twice but I will keep going! The first time I went in I got a deluxe pedicure with shellac. I unfortunately don't remember the technicians name (so sorry!) but she was great! I'm prone to an ingrown nail on one toe and she very painlessly managed to remove it. The shellac has lasted three weeks (so far) with no chips. Which is impressive because I CrossFit 5-6 days a week. I made an appointment for this and was seated very quickly. My second time going I got a dip manicure with a design. I made an appointment and did have to wait 30-minutes after my appointment to be seen but they were very apologetic and attentive. Kimberly did my nails and she was GREAT! I love the design and she was a pleasure to talk with. They seem to have a bit more color options with shellac over dip but still a good selection of both. read more

Horrible horrible horrible!!! I just got my nails done here and asked for a simple design. An ombré and marble. The lady obviously doesn't know how to do either. The shape is also terrible. Been here twice now and each experience was different but both good. The first experience I had was fantastic! They were busy but not crazy. The space is huge and accommodating which I didn't expect from the outside. My friend and I booked mani/pedis ahead if time and were taken right upon arrival. They had us pick our colors and set us up for our pedicures. When we finished we were moved to the other end of the salon for our manicures. The second time I went with my husband and the experience felt a little rushed. We showed up 10 mins earlier than our booked time and told them we weren't in a rush but they seemed scattered and a bit frantic to sit us down. After maybe 5 mins they set us up for our pedicures. You could see how busy they all were and it seemed a bit like they were scrambling. My husband got his entire deluxe pedicure done before mine was even started. That was a bit annoying because we booked together to get taken care if together. I got a basic pedicure and before the women finished (second coat and top coat) she left and started working on someone else. The technician who started my manicure saw my expression and said she's going to finish my toes as well. Eventually they finished and no one came to do my husbands hands so we didn't say anything and paid and left. Wasn't terrible experience but both were very different. I went to have my nails dipped. I'd only had them dipped once before and never removed so I didn't know the process but after she used an acrylic nail to slide under and rip off my first set, which ripped off parts of several nails, I googled the proper technique which involves soaking in acetone after filing - this was not done. I had said I wanted to keep my length which was no longer an option. At the end of the session, she put the acrylic nail she had used to pry my color off back in the box of acrylic nails. That can't be good for infection prevention of other patrons. After I left, I noticed dip residue on several fingers. I had not experienced that the first time I had my nails dipped. read more

I've been here now a few times to come up with a solid review. I feel like they've been pretty consistent with really timely services, they've greeted me, and been very prompt. I never know what exactly I'm going to get at a nail salon and I'm pretty sure that's annoying, but they are always willing to talk things through with me, offer suggestions and let me not feel pressured lol! I love the inside it's super clean, and the techs are very professional. I cannot speak to making an appointment I'll try that at some point but I usually just walk in. Came for a manicure appointment at 5:30 for two of us, one gel and one regular. After waiting 25 minutes we inquired about how much longer it would be as people who came in after us were already getting their nails done. Staff began chatting to one another and we were then told "just another couple minutes". After 30 minutes one woman came to begin on one of us only. When we expressed our frustration and explained what we witnessed she shared that "that is just how the industry works" in regards to walk-ins being seen before us which is completely unacceptable. Don't come here if you want technicians that care about your nail health. The last time I went, I desperately needed to get my acrylics removed, as they were severely lifting from the tips of my natural nails. I made sure to specifically book my appointment for a NEW SET. My nail technician ignored my request, and actually didn't do a single thing to help the lifting, she just gave me a refill. Her negligence resulted in my nails getting fungus. Probably won't go back. It was my first time at Knock Knock, I was tired and wanted to be pampered. It was nice they took me as a walk-in. They told me to pick out my gel color and tell them what number it was, so I did, 241 for the toes and 104 for the fingers. What I really wanted was help deciding but didn't get that. I was directed to a chair back by the corner near the staff lounge. There were non-employees and employees sitting in the chairs eating, talking loudly and laughing. I was overwhelmed. Apparently, she showed me a clear plastic box with two bottles of polish in it and asked if that was right for my pedicure (Not how they did it at my other place) and apparently, I said yes. Then someone else starting working on my fingernails, again I was overwhelmed as they all seemed more interested in talking with each other than paying attention to me. Eventually I looked down at my toe nails and they were painted black. I told her I wanted pink and she told me that I agreed to the black when she showed it to me. I told her to take off the black, and since it was "my fault" she didn't have to repaint them. She was nice and did repaint them pink but didn't quite take off all the black. I also did not like how my fingernails looked but she was long gone. Afterwards I went back to the color choices and looked at the pink I had picked out and it was 241. So, I asked her where was the black she had used - she showed me and it was also 241. I told her that was crazy that two different colors had the same number. Apparently, it was my job to say the number AND the color. So $120 later I walked out hating my fingernails, kind of ok with my toenails still tired frustrated. read more

I can not say enough great things about my technician Apple. She was amazing and had such a wonderful way of making me feel welcomed and relaxed. After reading some of the more recent reviews I was a little hesitant to make an appointment with KK Nails and Spa in Lakewood. But I am so glad I went. As a trans-woman, I am also a little nervous going to a new place for the first time; AND this was my first time going for a mani- pedi- by myself too and so I felt a bit like a fish out of water. But I'd had a couple of mani- pedi-s with friends before but having to figure out all the options by myself could have easily been overwhelming. But everyone treated me with the utmost respect and dignity. And Apple - my technician was amazing. She was patient and understanding and listened to me and took her time explaining all my options, and answering all my questions. Despite all my hesitancy; it was the most relaxing mani- pedi- I've ever had and was a welcomed respite. My nails also look great and she told me if they chip in the next week just to come back in and they'll fix them. She also said if I don't like how these wear over the next 3 weeks or so, then the next time I come up let them know and we can discuss other options. She was also full of tips and advice and took her time caring for my poor roughed up and broken nails and transformed them into works of beauty. I can't wait to go back in some weeks when it's time to have my nails done again and definitely recommend Apple!! For those who complained about it being crowded, try going on a week day and/or early in the day. That's generally the less busy times from what I understand. There are some good techs here but most are unhappy and work for owners that are only interested in turning their profit. Went here for over a year, tipped well. The owners never say you don't have credits when you do. Book people too tightly so your favorite techs run behind. Up charge for the slightest service and constantly raise prices. Apple and Mary were attentive to what we wanted, even helping us find the right color. We chose to go with the shellac polish in hopes of long-lasting presentable toes and it was great to walk out without worrying about if we'd smudge the new polish. Great pedicure. Bright and clean- love that they use basin liners and all the staff still had masks and gloves. Tech was great-gentle around my cuticles (I tend to be sensitive) and excellent scrub, massage and callous work. They also took a last minute appointment. My only complaint is that the fumes from the acrylics were REALLY strong (i didn't get acrylic but the smell permeated- I had to change my shirt when I got home because the smell lingered). However, I knew it would smell since I looked online and saw they did acrylics. Just an FYI if you're really sensitive, might want to avoid. read more

Ok..sie for starters we had to wait adleast 30 minutes until they could take me..then it took my nail tech, Ben another 20 minutes to get his stuff‍ he asked me what color I wanted and I said a transparent white..which is what I always get..and he said that they don't have it so I was like ok I will just get the acylic and then a clear top coat..and he was like ok. he gets to filing and BARELY filed the top of my mail then started putting on the glue ons..he never cut my cuticles or put lotion on or anything..hey put the acylic beads in then buffed it. he did such a bad job at filing the sides I now have to go home and do it my self..and he even had the audacity to ask for a bigger tip. never going to him again! read more

The absolute worst place. Total pedicure was less that 20 minutes. Nails not even uniform. The moisturizing was with lotion I wouldn't use on a dog. Tho massaging. After reading some of the comments about this nail salon I decided to ignore them and went there anyway. I was greeted the minute I walked in the door & as'ed to sit down for one minute then they took me to a chair, put my feet in the water and immediately started my pedicure. The girl that did my toenails was very friendly and very efficient. She got my nails done in a timely manner and did a very good job. Personally I am impressed with this place.
