Great little bakery in the heart of gritty Olean. The walnut raisin bread on their Turkey sandwich is Luigi's bread- quite excellent. (Find out about his bread if u don't know about it!) Turkey sandwich is the best thing we've had --- well, that and a slice of the to-doe-for dark chocolate cake. The pastries look heavenly, as well, but we haven't yet tried them. The salad with chicken, walnuts & apples was pretty tasty. There was some grilled chicken sandwich we got one time that wasn't that good. If we ate red meat, I'd definitely want to try the steak sandwich. Strange thing - If you put in a "lunch" search in Yelp, this place won't turn up. It only comes up if you put in bakery. Not very good for the restaurant, it would seem. And - would really love it if they'd make their own iced tea. That bottled stuff is for the birds. read more

We had a delightful dinner at Knoxie's table a few weeks ago. Our server was funny and attentive, the terrace was nicely spaced for social distancing. However the food was just meh, we started with the crab dip, which was a little tart and a little runny for me, also not much crab. For my meal I had the special which was a Rockfish with crab and asparagus. It wasn't bad but was definitely lacking in flavor. My husband got the scallops which he said were tender but he didn't care for the grits. The sides followed the same flavor profile which was pretty bland. On our visit to Maryland, we stayed in Stevensville and happened upon Knoxie's Table. We really enjoyed the drinks here and very friendly service! We went 3 times and were lucky to have the same server & bartender Shane. I was able to enjoy an excellent Last Word cocktail while hubby had a nice time partaking of the many whiskeys. Came here twice within the past two years. I will be mainly sharing my second visit as I don't remember much about my first one other than the fact that the scallop risotto were extremely salty! In my second visit, my boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and got a gift card that was part of our bundle. We ordered the crab dip and ahi tuna appetizers, the steak, the shrimp and grits, and a sangria. Out of all of these, we only really thoroughly enjoyed the ahi tuna appetizer and the shrimp and grits. The crab dip was good too but we loved the ahi tuna one much more due to the softness of the fish and the flavor of the crust outside. That was too good to pass up. The shrimp and grits were so savory and delicious, but the steak was average. We liked the garlic mashed potatoes that came with the steak more. We just didn't think they cooked it to medium rare as asked and it was a bit over cooked and not super flavorful or tender. The sangria was also quite watered down. However, the service was quite polite and kind, and the vibe of the restaurant was always nice. This restaurant is inside quite a nice hotel! read more

Lovely upscale venue. Food and service are good. The property is a wedding venue and very popular. The restaurant is in a lovely hotel. Not a waterfront restaurant but there are beautiful gardens and outdoor fireplaces and a bar. Very pleasant to dine outside in nice weather. Chilly times call for a drink around the circular fire place surrounded by rocking chairs. There is a market attached with great gifts and carry out food including wonderful pies. Inside dining has a cozy atmosphere with a large stone fireplace and a pleasant bar. We locals are glad to have this upscale gem in our neighborhood read more

This restaurant gets very good "reviews" online so was shocked on how bad the quality of food was. Maybe this needs to be graded on a curve because the restaurants in the area are quite bad compared to over the bridge in Annapolis. It was expensive and the soup was from frozen for sure with crab added in the end. Old watermelon on lettuce on salad,(supposed to be semi farm to table as they have their own gardens on site) dressings and sauces has no flavor and mostly young kids working, which is not an issue if this was not supposed to be an elevated dinning experience. If you are someone who likes (not a bad thing)Cracker Barrel, TGI Fridays etc you probably will enjoy this place so I would say give it a shot. If you dine in metro areas with better quality dinning establishments you will be very disappointed. Anyone ranking this restaurant above 2 stars has a low bar for what the definition for an "elevated dining experience" is or embarrassed to say they had an overpriced poor experience.... read more

Had dinner at Knoxie's tonight. 6 in our party. 4 ordered steak. Both the filets were dry and lacked flavor. Both the larger steaks - believe they were New York strips were excellent. 2 orders seafood and both were excellent. All in a nice evening but unsure if it was worth the $500 all in tap. read more

This is a nicely appointed restaurant located in a boutique hotel. The food AMS service are above average to good and the dining experience is overall good. The restaurant comes close to breaking out of the hotel-feel but not quite. I recommend this restaurant especially for this market area. Terrific restaurant a stones throw from the Bay Bridge. Call ahead to ensure they're open and if you need a reservation just in case. We had an amazing dinner with Theresa and her wonderful young bus boy. The drink abs wine menu is quite large and the bars are beautiful. Good wine by the glass selection. Lots on the main menu but great specials. We enjoyed everything but the crab soup was an incredible standout which could be a full meal. The crab cake dinner was excellent, burger and fries great, salad and crab fitters delicious. We Needed more room for their wonderful list of pies and cake. Save room! read more

OK I rarely will give a 5 star. I never give one on a first visit to a new place. Congrats Knoxie's you got this one! I tend to believe the whole farm-to-table thing is more of a marketing ploy for most--and it is. Not so here. From the wines, to the beers, to the cheese, to the entrees, to the desserts. If it can be sourced locally, it is, and you know it. They wear it like a badge as they should. We ate there on a Saturday night on a whim and they accommodated us very quickly. We had some wine to start (local from Oxford Landing) and the Cheeseboard was spot on and the jams, jellies, and other schmearables were great. The tomato bacon one was good as was the pimento (had a kick). I had a prime rib. It is on the menu for two, but they did accommodate a half order. Cooked to my liking, tender and the horseradish on the side had a KICK AND A HALF. It is served with shaved horseradish and I asked for some sauce on the side. Locally raised beef. My GF had a Wedge Salad and a bowl of the Chesapeake Gumbo with locally harvested whatever the crap they put in gumbo is (I don't do seafood) but she raved on it. We split a slice of lemon meringue pie and it was pretty damned good too. Our server Casey was great. Always there, not too obtrusive, and there was no pressure to leave. Thumbs up to Casey. There appeared to be a pretty busy bar, and a lot of smaller dining areas as opposed to one large room. Booths, tables, of all sizes. They also had several private dining rooms and they were in use as well. As we wandered around the place after dinner, it became clear that we needed to go back. While it is NOT on the water (and that would make it perfect...maybe Hemmingways will close and they can shift) it is an awesome venue. Lots of outdoor nooks for sitting and relaxing, a gigantic fire pit, and an pseudo-outdoor room adjacent to the banquet room that might make for an outstanding bier garten. As I mentined, tons of fireplaces in and outside. Swiped a brunch menu and that is now on our list. Dinners are only on the weekends I believe at this point, but I suspect as more discover it they will be open for all. It is part of a hotel and we did comment that it is on the list for a weekend getaway in our own backyard! We'll be back for sure! read more

My family and I come over to Knoxie's from the Western Shore of Maryland all the time. We bring our boat and park it in the open marina slips and walk over. The food hasn't disappointed yet! The menu isn't the most consistent, especially if you don't go often, it recently felt like they were still in a winter menu rather than spring or summer but all the options were still great. One thing is, the shrimp and grits sadly was taken off the menu which was a personal favorite of ours and there isn't exactly a sandwich option for a lighter dinner if you wanted. Nonetheless we all really enjoyed our drinks and meals and the dessert was fabulous too! I ordered the key lime pie which was great slice and perfect for the spring. The service was great and everyone was very accommodating to our requests and everything was very timely. We can't wait to return once the outdoor seating is available on April 26th! read more

Located within the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, this rustic and elegant restaurant is just the perfect place to enjoy a good time and some good eats! The service is wonderful and the food is delicious! We loved the butternut squash soup, pan seared scallops in a root vegetable puree and the eggs your way breakfast platter (simple and fresh!). The peach Bellini is a great pair with this meal. Warning: sitting by the fireplace while seems like a great idea can get very warm, very fast so dress accordingly! There's also a cafe around the corner and a really cute home store next to the restaurant. read more

Spoiler alert- the bartender tastes all the drinks before he sends them to you----WITH YOUR STRAW. Let me start off by saying that this place looks incredible. Someone did an amazing job with the decor. Too bad it didn't carry over. We arrived and sat at the bar. There was 1 group seated outside, 2 in the restaurant, and one other couple at the bar.....so not busy by any means. We ordered cocktails and food right after sitting down. The cocktails were very sweet, and the bartender informed us that they had to be that way bc people that order cocktails don't like alcohol, makes sense- right?!? We had 2 cocktails a piece while we waited for our food- FOR AN HOUR. My husband, who was ready to eat his own arm at this point, ordered another cocktail and the bartender (who I'm pretty sure just remembered that he forgot to put our food order in) made his drink and then held it in his hand and approached the register to enter our food order......ONE HOUR AFTER WE ORDERED IT. He then came with the drink and apologized profusely, stating that someone stole our food......that's right, you read it correctly. We were the victims of drive by brunch theft. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we were victimized in this manner. It gave me ample time to repeatedly watch this bartender take the straw out of the cocktail, suck the drink out of the bottom of it, and return it to your craft cocktail. They are pricey, but hey, free germs with every serving. read more

So, I've worked in Washington the past 12 years, from Baltimore originally have traveled the world and eaten all it has to offer and loved every minute of it but about a year ago moved to Kent Island with my wife. All I'm going to say is- we specifically make a stop on our way home each Friday for a piece. The Peanut Butter, Cherry, Lemon Meringue, Coconut Creme, and rarely seen Coffee Cream (from what I remember from last summer-2021) are all AWAZING and if we do go to Knoxies for dinner- we order our pie first. I do see alot of weddings at the Bay Bridge resort/Knoxies but I think that's all an excuse to get the pie :-) This baker needs to own how great his pies are and claim the throne as Kent Island Pie guy or at least Eastern Shore Pie guy. I mean Smith Island cakes are good (as long as the baker knows what they are doing) but you may have started another niche for Eastern Shore pie notoriety as far as I'm concerned. Would love to see your take on a Rum cake ( I know, I know- it's not a pie but who does not love a Rum cake) or for that matter- whoopie/moon pies. This restaurant is in the hotel I stayed in for the weekend of my brothers wedding. It's very convenient to have a good restaurant in your hotel. Being able to just wake up and walk downstairs made it very easy to coordinate a breakfast with a bunch of hungover, degenerate groomsmen. The restaurant had a pretty large dining area and a bar. There's an outdoor bar area with seats as well. Considering it wasn't very crowded when we went the service was pretty slow but the food was good. I had waffles with country sausage for my entree. Waffles were good, crispy outside, fluffy inside. The sausage was actually REALLY good. Sausage as a side dish seems so plain to me and I rarely choose it but Knoxie's country sausage was bursting with flavor. The table split some crab dip, fried green tomatoes, and calamari to start. Fried green tomatoes I would skip next time but the other two sides were fire, loved them both. read more

We went to Knoxies on Wednesday the 20th of 2022. The service was phenomenal! My husband and I had the crab cakes and they were amazing! The ambience was beautiful, especially the outside area! Our server was very attentive and on point! The busser was attentive as well and she did amazing! One thing I was sad to see, especially in this hot weather, was everyone was wearing long sleeved shirts. I felt so bad for them, especially in this heat wave, seeing them running around, I couldn't imagine! Overall, a very good experience and we will be returning back!! read more
