Always awesome. Never go wrong. Try something different but always have to get that extra egg. Service is always great and fast. Decor is beautiful and we love to sit under the 3 samurais of the dodgers.

The absolute best in the South Bay Area! Garlic Bomb and Chicken Karage

I love their Ramen! I use to come here for lunch. My go-to is the Garlic Bomb (Level2) and Chicken Kagage is always fresh and super tasty. My server was warm and friendly and checked on me a couple of times. The ambiance is nice and casual with nice soft music playing. You must dine in if you're in the area.

My friend swears this restaurant serves the best ramen in the South Bay so we had to try it for ourselves. Seating is limited and it fills up quickly so we got there at 6pm on a Tuesday and secured a table with no problem. The selection of ramen is quite large and the staff is friendly. We all ordered the Garlic Bomb with Spicy Miso broth. They offer spice levels from 1-10. I got a spice level of 3 and could have gone 1-2 levels higher. The ramen does come with 1 chashu piece, so I ordered an extra 2 pieces and the boiled egg. It definitely is really tasty and worth waiting in line for.

Perfect for a rainy day at home, I did take out. Walked in and greeted by friendly staff that recommended what I ordered. Sat down for about 10 min and waited (the place was full of diners) Brought my ramen and buns back home and enjoyed a delicious meal!

It was a chilly night tonight and we all wanted something to warm up that was comforting. Ramen was the top choice. Ko-Ryu to the rescue. We had fried Gyoza and Takoyaki to start, ( sorry no photo to show) and wonton ramen & fried chicken curry ramen. Both really delicious and hit the spot. The curry had a little kick but very tasty. The wait staff very nice and filled our water promptly. Ambiance casual.

I had a nice experience at Ko-Ryu Ramen. I ordered the Shacho Ramen with miso broth, which I found to be fairly good. It was definitely very rich, which was mostly appreciated, except it was too salty because of how rich it was. The service was good, and my party was seated immediately when we came on a Saturday night.

Food and service was good. I noticed that the one in San Pedro gives a little more ramen than this one. I also noticed that they don't serve dessert like how the Pedro one does. They did however give my son some baseball and basketball trading cards, which was a nice gesture.

I absolutely love the Shacho Ramen here I know it's probably not traditional or whatever but it's broth with the Sesame paste in it just tastes so good to me. Also it comes with bamboo shoots, extra ground pork along with the chashu, bean sprouts, etc. There's also this cool photo wall of ppl who've eaten super spicy bowls in the past. The food comes out pretty fast as well.

It has been years since I have been to Kyo-Ryu . Recently I was at a nearby Home Depot for an errand. It was a cold and chilly night and ramen seemed perfect. With Ko-Ryu right there; it was meant to be for me to get ramen here once again. Wow! I was quite impressed with my ramen dinner here. I honestly found myself asking why it's taken me this long to come back. I got the Shacho Ramen. I was so impressed with how big the ramen was. It came with two large pieces of pork shashu, lots of ground pork and noodles. The ramen also had sesame paste as well as sake in its broth. The flavors of the ramen were abundant and it was definitely very enjoyable. I got it mild and it had just the right spicy kick to it. It was definitely a great ramen and did the trick for a chilly night. Aside from the Ramen; we also got the Chicken Buns here. Their appetizer comes with two. I was expecting the Chicken Buns to have crispy Chicken karaage but it was a grilled version instead. The Chicken Buns were ok but was a bit on the sweet side. I highly recommend the ramen here and I will be back very soon!

We stayed in K-Town this time so it was a bit of a drive but I didn't care! We went there for lunch buuuut!!! When we arrived, the restaurant looked very dark inside. One of the workers was outside cleaning the windows so we approached her and found out that the power was out. She said they had no idea when it would be back on. I was like, "Noooooo!!!" I had waited an entire year to have their ramen again! We stayed in Torrance for a while, hoping the power would come back but it didn't look like it would be restored in time for lunch so we decided to try again for dinner instead. We stayed in Torrance a little longer because we really didn't want to drive all the way back to K-Town and then drive down again. We went back right when they opened for dinner, hoping the power was back... and it WAS!!! I had originally planned to get the Chashu Ramen but since our lunch had been delayed, I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it. So I ordered the same one I had last year, the Kitakata Ramen. The broth tasted just as good as I remembered! Unfortunately, though, the chashu was a little tough this time. I remembered it being that melt-in-your-mouth kind of tender so I was a little disappointed. (Maybe it was because of the power outage? ) But everything else was excellent! We'll be back in LA for our son's graduation in May next year so hopefully we'll get another chance to visit Ban Nai. And hopefully with no power outage!

The food was actually quite good. We both had a bowl of the Black Devil ramen at a spice level of 4. I was worried that this would be too much but it was actually a very manageable level of spice. The type of spice where I can still enjoy my food and not have to worry about eating it through hiccups or anything like that. I also had a side of the spicy katsu cutlet, which I also enjoyed very much. They brought me one big piece of chicken katsu and some scissors to cut it up, which I thought was neat. But every bite I had was wonderful, as it was clearly fried to perfection. The service was also on point and our server even let us try some of their devil sauce ( I do not remember if this was what it was called but it sure was spicy). A few drops of this in my bowl of ramen and I began to sweat profusely. She said barely anyone ever orders it and I can totally see why haha. She was also super nice to us and overall provided some excellent service, I did not quite catch her name. The interior of this place also feels quite small, but it is well ventilated. I've been going to Tomizo since they opened. There were a few months after the initial visit that I…read moredidn't go and I'll explain in a sec, but since then I come probably twice a month now. Ironically speaking, I do not like Sapporo style ramen. I've never been a fan of Miso ramen, and for some reason Sapporo style is just something I do not enjoy. That being said, everyone I know that does like Sapporo style ramen say it is good. But then, why am I giving this place 5 stars and why do I eat here so often? Tomizo added tsukemen to their menu, and they have the best tsukemen in the area. It's a very rich heavy fatty tsukemen, and it blows away everywhere else's tsukemen in the area. The portions are always extremely generous as well. The most important thing is, they use actual tsukemen noodles, they are fat and thick, while a lot of places near here give you ramen noodles for their tsukemen. The other thing I absolutely love about this place is that they have seasonal ramen, and while I'm not a huge fan of some of them, other times they are just amazing. The current seasonal ramen is a cold cream tonkotsu style, and it is absolutely divine. My partner got it last night and it was so good, I wanted to come back tonight to get an order of it myself. I absolutely hope they decide to add it to their main menu permanently, because a cold ramen dish would be a god send to have readily available. The staff are all wonderful, incredibly attentive, and are all very cheerful and upbeat. The music variation changes quite a bit. Sometimes it'll be vocaloid heavy, other times it'll be very late 90s sounds of Tokyo (Fantastic Plastic Machine, Pizzicato Five), or sometimes an early 2000s jpop play list. As someone a little older I don't think there's ever been a time I didn't enjoy the music being played. They also always have dodgers games (reruns during the offseason) playing on a tv for the local fans. The only real bad thing about Tomizo is the parking lot is tiny and shared with a sushi place that can get busy. So parking can be difficult sometimes.
