This is my one of my favorite places to eat. The spicy ramen is my go to adding an egg. I often take friends here and love it too!

The food was amazing but too find out after I was already bout too be finished I find a piece plastic inside the bottom of my ramen and all they did was give me "I'm so sorry about that" and took my food and ignored me after that and didn't give me a refund or anything I just waited and waited too see but nothing. Then had too go up too them for them too only give me 10% off my food and I should've took a picture but they rushed my food out my hands before I could and another thing the waiters were talking under they breath about the situation I'm never going back again and I love ramen there other location on Del amo is recommended there service is better gave the lady no tip after they talked under there breath about the situation!!!!!!!!! Stopped by for a quick bite before going to see a movie at a nearby theater. First impression the overall decor and seating is simple and limited but clean and has a decent overall flow. They also have a "Legends" board on the wall FULL of pictures of people who finished their hottest bowl of Ramen (apparently it's a number 20?). I understand smaller spots having a "challenge" to draw more people to come "try" to finish. Well apparently it isn't that challenging as there are LOTS of peoples pictures on this wall...even children.... Just seems a little pointless... Next step was ordering and I must say this is was the most frustrating part. The man taking our order was using some sort of tablet and it seemed like (besides not being able to hear our orders) it was his first time using it. Regardless finally after some back and forth our order was sent in. Good news from there it was smooth sailing. The food came out all together (table of 4) in a very short amount of time and was hot and tasty. On this particular day I was craving ramen. I was yelping to search for a ton of places, but they weren't opening till a little later. I found this place, and luckily they were open. I ordered the Shacho ramen in miso broth with extra pork and noodles. It's not the best ramen I've had, but it isn't bad either. The pork was tender and good. Also the miso broth was a good pick. I ordered the gyozas for an appetizer. They were ok. This restaurant had great service and was welcoming. I'd give this place a try again. read more

Absolute top-notch ramen here in Torrance. We were visiting the botanic gardens near by and honestly were just hungry and kinda just yelped the closest restaurants and this popped up. What a pleasant surprise! I'm glad that we came after the lunch rush but before the dinner rush so our ramens came out in 5 minutes. They were absolutely perfect from the broth to the noodles to the Chashu pork slices. I got the chashu pork ramen which comes with 5 huge slices of pork and my lady got a black sesame ramen which has ground pork pieces and a black sesame paste on top. Both were equally delicious in my opinion where mine was more hearty/fatty and her's was more fragrant/umami type of broths. I'm glad we found this place but bummed it's all the way in Torrance for us but definitely worth a drive. read more

This place is outstanding. I've been to other ramen places and the broth was always watered down. The Koi Ramen with miso broth and added fresh garlic is rich and full of flavor. It isn't too salty or watered down, but perfect. I loved it so much I got another Koi Ramen to go. I highly recommend adding fresh garlic it is so good! The pork belly adds to the flavorful taste. Had such a horrible experience with this white lady that claims to be the manager. She was very rude. This is not the first time that i've had an unpleasant experience at this restaurant. First of all, she didn't let my friends and I have our food there just because we had made a phone order in advance. She said it was "not fair" to the customers that were coming in for dinner. Mind you, there was no said customers. It was literally empty. Also, my order was missing food. That being said, don't come here. You guys should go to the ko ryu ramen in Hawthorne. Omg sooo good! I get the spicy miso veggie ramen with the kale noodles to make it vegan friendly. It's so great! The broth is so rich and delicious, amazing depth of flavor. I have a high tolerance for spicy, so I get the spicy level 9. It always comes out really piping hot, temperature wise, so I usually have to wait for it to cool down. It would be nice it had more/more variety of vegetables, cabbage is nice, but I love lots of veggies in my ramen. It also comes out pretty quickly, though my veggie ramen tends to come out a little after my coworkers' meals. Definitely a good portion for the price, highly recommend! read more

The ramen is fine and the service is whatever. I ordered garlic bomb and koi ramen shoyu. I came in and looked at the menu stand in front for a while. The guy at the cashier stared at us and said you ordered here. I thought it was ok because he was in the bad mood. I guess that they were busy , but then when hey brought out two ramen bowls. The guy brought the bowls to my table like slapping on it and quickly ran inside. Everything is still fine until I noticed the ramen bowls got spilled outside a bit the bowls. We were not mad at anything until we tried to the taste of the ramen The broth is good enough and it was not hot anymore. I don't about the other garlic bomb ramen other customers had before but mine doesn't have egg. Lol . Koi ramen is okay except it tastes like hotpot soup to me because it's salty. This place was once my go-to for ramen in the South Bay. Not anymore. A few months ago I ordered the vegetable ramen. Went home to eat it and found a fly in my broth. I called the restaurant and the guy who answered said it was probably some of the fried garlic. When I explained to him that it had wings and was clearly a fly he told me I could come in and get a new dish on the house. No thanks. Nonetheless I returned like a fool a few days ago. This time when I got home and dumped my broth in a bowl it was full of noodles at the bottom. It was like they recycled the broth of a customer who didn't eat all of their ramen. I won't be back. Been coming here the last few years and glad to see it survived the pandemic. The food is always always ALWAYS consistent. It's really good and for the price it's hard to beat. The staff is always respectful, efficient and I've never had a problem here ever. I would be expecting a hiccup here and there but this place is like Japan, it is on time and efficient. I've even ordered some to go, and after traveling home in traffic, and pouring the soup into a bowl it was still really hot. I've tried the gyoza, wonton ramen and spicy and regular garlic ones. Ive been here a few times and the ramen is pretty decent. However for the price they set I feel like they dont give you much besides the basic ramen. Theres only 2 small pieces of bamboo shoots and one slice of chasu. They charge you for every "add-on" which, if you go anywhere else is already included with the ramen for the same price. This time I tried the fried chicken ramen and the pieces are tiny. Theres barely any meat and it's more fried breading than anything. Because the meat is barely there it feels way overcooked/fried, which makes the small pieces really tough to chew and swallow. It was like eating really old microwaved chicken. I tried just dropping the pieces into the broth first to soak the fried chicken. I had hoped it would soften it but nope. I dont think I'll come back here again for ramen because it's just not worth the price. It's $14 for literally the broth and the noodles. I rather go all the other ramen places on sepulveda or carson which charge the same price and they give you more! So even though the ramen broth was not bad, I give 3 stars for the overfried tough small chicken and lack of toppings that come with ramen. The service was good and the servers were friendly and attentive. But not worth overpriced ramen, if I wanted to go this route I might as well just go to Shin sen gumi for this type of ramen. Night time cravings satisfied! Was in the mood for ramen noodles and decided to give Ko-Ryu a shot. Ordered via takeout option on Yelp. We tried the Spicy Miso ramen which came with noodles, bamboo shoots, half egg , 1 piece of chasu and some greens. Added in a side of gyoza (6 pieces) for $4. The ETA was 15-35min. It was ready in about 30min. Pick up was easy, just went in and grabbed the food since we paid through the app. The noodles were cooked nicely but they were stuck together when we got it home. When we got home we microwaved the food so that the noodles would break apart in the soup. Service from the older man is the bare minimum: no follow up, no eye contact, gives the bill without a word etc. And that deserves a tip? Nah. TERRIBLE service tonight, I'm very disappointed (May 31st) I had come to this place before because my kids love it but unfortunately that won't happen anymore because we won't be coming back. Tonight I waked in and ordered two to-go ramen soups before closing. She suggested fried chicken soups because both my kids wanted fried chicken and it was cheaper than ordering custom ones and adding individual ingredients so that was good, then when asked about level of spicy I specifically told the lady taking my order that I wanted non spicy because they were for my kids, to my surprise when I got home one was spicy and the other one wasn't !! One bright red !! So I called the restaurant back and informed them of the misunderstanding and the lady on the phone ended up being the same one that took my order got all feisty with me (middle age blonde lady) pretty much saying it was my fault for not clarifying, I asked to speak to the manager and she said she was the manager so I repeated to her that when she asked me I said mild for both and even added the "it's for my kids and they don't eat spicy" and she just went on and on about how I didn't use proper restaurant language because according to her words "mild means spicy" (???) and also reminded me that the restaurant is closed now so I won't get anything else from them. I'm really not the complaining type and even if I didn't get a replacement right there and then I would at least appreciate a good attitude and an apology but she was just plain out rude. read more

First time here and I got the Vegetable Ramen with custom toppings (I added imitation crab and fish cakes) and the vegetable gyoza. The gyoza were crispy and very yummy. The ramen had excellent broth, rich and creamy, but not overwhelming. The fish cakes were delicious and the imitation crab broke apart beautifully.
