David's company was recommended to us by our agent when we purchased our home in Rancho Cordova. We got an estimate for a sewer line replacement and his prices were very reasonable. David was fair and suggested we get a few quotes to be on the safe side since he was busy and might not be available when we wanted the work done. We weren't in a rush so opted to stick with David and boy am I glad we did. David started working on the sewer line replacement while we were having some minor work done in the house. The GC was up in the attic and smelled a gas leak. We called PG&E and they came out asap and shut the gas off. David was kind enough to pause the sewer work and fix the leak. Except after he fixed the first leak he found another, and another, and another, until we were up to nine (that's right... 9!!!) gas leaks total. We asked David to hold off on doing the repairs so we could contact our home warranty for the fix. Boy was THAT a mistake. The company Fidelity Home Warranty sent out was nice enough but they recommended a full repipe. While not outside the realm of possibility, I asked them if it was possible to repair the leaks, since Fidelity wouldn't cover a repipe. They said yes but put a repipe in the recommendation anyway! Of course, Fidelity denied the claim (and took a week to go about it to - the entire time no heat in the house with it getting to ~38 at night). We asked David to please see if there was anything he could do and WOW. David came out on a SUNDAY and fixed the leaks. He was under the house (sorry again for the bump on your head!!) for hours but he got the job done and actually listened when I explained I didn't want the gas fireplaces (3 of the leaks) and it was ok to cap the lines. David tested everything and gave us the all clear to contact the gas company to get the gas turned back on. What's more - David asked us while he was working on the sewer line if we wanted to replace the water line into the house since it was overtop of the sewer. We're planning on replacing the piping at some point any way and he explained we could save half the cost of the pipe install into the house if we did it while he had the trench open. Of course we jumped on the option. David was great about always letting me know what options were available and explaining things so we could make an informed decision. He was very responsive via text, which saved me a heck of a lot of time, and as long as he's not under a house he'll answer the phone! We already have a few more projects lined up (thankfully none as urgent as the sewer and gas!!) and I will always rely on David to give me an honest opinion on the best course of action. read more

True to his word, "David" called me 15 minutes later and was at my house within 45min of the phone call. The issue was a clogged main line and he could have told me that I needed to have a camera ran through it as well (which was an additional $200), but he didn't. We have used David (Koala-T Plumbing) since he was a one-man company. We have him repaired/replaced sink, bathroom water hoses, sprinkler pipes, new toilet, and new water heater, etc. We still recommended him to our friends although we noticed that his price was no longer compatible since he hired a co-worker (higher insurance cost, etc.) few years ago. Every single service call would cost $89 even if just fixing a broken pipe. Two weeks ago I found the sink had started to leak again. David said he could stop by when he came out here the next day and he wouldn't charge for that. Sounds like a reasonable business man. I have waited for him the whole afternoon, but he didn't show up. Lately I left him two messages, no return call... Seems like David just disappeared! "No Show, No Call" is very impolite for treating an old customer. Now we need to worry what if the costly hot water heater breaks down... There is no guarantee David would keep his words (or product warranty). To see a young man run his business like this, it truly makes me sad. I just saw few poor reviews recently posted on Yelp (Including filtered reviews). Fantastic service from professionals. Always making sure the job is done correctly without creating unnecessary obstacles. Swift, clean, knowledgable, efficient, and prompt. I Highly recommend them. They had to cut and install an access panel to the outside of our upstairs outer wall to fix a leak that could only be fixed within the houses internal plumbing. The geniuses that designed this house closed off all access to the bath tub plumbing. The only way to fix it was from the garage below, cutting a hole in the bathtub itself, or (the best and chosen option) cutting and installing an access panel to the outside wall for future access should it ever be needed. They told me all three options. And explained each option in detail for me to understand the repercussions of each as well as the pros and cons.
