That install has never had any trouble and looks fantastic to this day. Today he installed a 50 gallon water heater for me. If you are not excited by how clean this install looks you don't know how hard it is to look this good! The tank itself was reasonably priced and the install is fantastic He saw me fixing a water leak in my wall and replaced a 6 inch section of copper pipe that had a nail driven through it and was leaking into the wall. I asked Curtis to change out the main and irrigation shut off wheel valves (in my front yard for a 1.25" sized piping) to quarter turn ball valves. Not only did he come way less expensive than another company but he also changed the hose bib, regulator and put on a new weather wrap. He also changed the direction of the hose bib towards the front yard and all the piping underneath the weather wrap is new. A thing of beauty on my 18 year old home. Curtiss at States Plumbing performed two jobs for us. First we had him replace the house water pressure regulator, two associated shutoff valves and a hose bib. The original was over 25 years old and a disaster waiting to happen! We were incredibly impressed. Curtiss was very knowledgeable, professional, with a very, very competitive price. He beautifully installed 2 new bathroom faucets for me with needed new shutoffs (he showed me the old ones were crumbling inside). Our toilet had a clog and later the chain was broken when my husband tried to get it fixed. Got a referral from my best friend and Curtis came to a rescue. He noticed our toilet had an old system hooked up. He suggested to replace to a new one with better plumbing flex line. Curtis is the man! I discovered a heavy leak flowing from my water meter last night. It turns out that my water main cracked on my side of the city water meter. (my liability) States Plumbing was able to squeeze me in to fix the pipe on the next day. Every other contractor that I contacted had me waiting 3-6 days. We had no water to the property. The wax ring on my toilet was failing so I decided to update my toilet as well. It was $500 to replace the toilet. However, the toilet ended up leaking. Curtis was very responsive and came back right away. He said the reason could be my flange. So I paid an additional $325 to have the flange replaced. Unfortunately, the toilet still leaked. Curtis replaced the bowl, thinking the bowl may have been cracked. However, it still leaked. Curtis told me my floor was not level and that I needed to call a tile guy to have my floor replaced and he could not help me. So now I am out $825 for a toilet I cannot use. I guess I am confused because prior to the wax ring needing to be replaced, there was no leak. My house is 37 years old, and this was never an issue before. Curtis was kind and responsive, but leaving a customer with a leak after taking $825 doesn't seem right to me. read more

Curtis has helped us twice now. First time, we had a busted water heater, which happened while we were camping, so we couldn't even have that long awaited shower. He came out the next day, got us an awesome unit, and installed for a more than reasonable price. I know, because I got two quotes from other local guys, and they were about $200 over what I paid. The next time, was when our sink wasn't draining, even after we used our rooter, so we knew it was pretty far down in the plumbing. I called States plumbing to replace a leaking shutoff valve from the city main, 2 outdoor spigots, install a faucet and replace the hot and cold water valves along with flex lines. I originally wanted just the shutoff valve and front spigot. He did such a great job and was meticulous in wrapping with thermal tape I kept adding on more jobs. I had the faucet already and wanted to get up to code so he included all the additional work. Why stop there, I asked if he could replace the rear spigot which he did and thermal wrapped that pipe also. When my neighbor saw the front piping and the wrap job he asked for the number of the plumbing company. Hard to find someone that takes pride in their work like that. read more

I hired States Plumbing to install (2) new toilets in my house. Size was an issue because I have counter tops over the tank of the toilets. When he showed up he told me exactly what toilet would work and recommended a specific model that would not clog easily. Once I gave him the ok to install them he was back in less than an hour with the new toilets. He quickly and professionally installed the new toilets and hauled away the old ones.
