    Spicy pork bowl

I tried the spicy pork bowl lunch special and it was great. I really appreciate their lunch specials; the portions are just as generous as their regular bowls and they include three pieces of gyoza and a free drink. It's an amazing deal with plenty of meat and rice. Each bowl also comes with a choice of kimchi or macaroni salad. The pork was really good! The meal also includes a complimentary egg-based soup, making it a great lunch option in the neighborhood. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean.

Tried this for the first time tonight - I was pleasantly surprised how many gluten free options there were! We got our food to-go and the portions were huge. The food will last us at least two, maybe three meals. We got the beef bulgogi (ordered it spicy) with black rice and kimchi, spicy pork with black rice and kimchi, and kimchi fried rice with pork. Everything was really good, but we both decided we won't get spicy next time; they were super spicy for us (my husband tolerates hotter spice than me, and this was too spicy for him). Lots of flavor though, so that was great. We'll definitely be back again to try some other non-spicy options.

Koba Grill is a solid choice if you're looking for Korean food in a fast casual environment. I loved the complementary self service egg flower soup station. We ordered the sampler, the gochujang pork belly, and the spicy chicken and shrimp. The sampler seemed to be all previously frozen, which is not surprising for a fast casual restaurant, but it was still a bit disappointing given the price point. However, the entrees were both delicious and had very large portions. Overall, I'd give Koba Grill a 3.8/5.

Of the countless number of times my wife and I have been in the area, we just couldn't find the time to go and try-out new places to eat because of our busy schedule. This was one of those rare occurences when the stars aligned just right with our empty and hungry bellies that we were finally able to visit Koba Grill. We wanted to visit the Sherwood location, but it just so happen that we found another Koba in the vicinity where we were spending our morning and that was in the Beaverton area. You can never deny a hungry stomach and there was 2 of us, so majority rules. My wife and I literally spent about 10 minutes dumbfounded trying to study the menu not once, not twice but thrice and we still couldn't figure out what to get. The gal behind the counter was very patient with us as she quickly identified us a newbies and offered to suggest some of their best selections. I ended up going with the two-item combination comprising of all Pork- (Gochujang Pork Belly- to fill my empty belly and Spicy Pork) and my wife opted for the Off-the-grill Beef Bulgogi. Both our dishes have a choice of side-orders and I went with mac salad, while my wife went with kimchi. We were perplexed when the gal said they offered "Black Rice". Try it- I think it's a combination of red cargo rice and brown rice. Really delicious!! Sorry honey, but I think my dish was the clear winner here. Took about 15-20 minutes for our order to finish. Well worth the wait. As a result, they give you a generously large amount of food. I just loved the flavor of the Gochujang, just the right spiciness and grilled flavor off the pork fat from the belly. The flavor was mouth-watering from both pork choices. Always having your wife with you is a benefit as almost everytime we order something different from each other and as a result, you get to try another item from the menu and your wife as well, so it works out for both loving parties. There is no place to eat inside but if you walk out the door and turn left, you will see some seating in front of the Cold Stone Creamery right at the corner. I was freezing my butt off and I told my wife we needed to go to the car and eat. Inside the car I was sweating my butt off but I'd rather be in the safety and comfort of my own vehicle and then having my car just smell like the food I just ate. With all jokes aside, I can't wait to bring my kids to this place the next time we head back up here in the summer. I find the prices to be fair and in-line and if I was buying this in the Bay Area, for sure they would have been 3-4 dollars more each. The total for both of our dishes was just under $32. I think I just found our go-to Korean grill and for sure we will be marking this as one of our new favorite places to stop by and grab some grub.

Stumbled across the place today for lunch and it was amazing. Portion was incredibly large and it also was served with a yummy bowl of Egg Flour Soup!

They also serve rice dishes. As a blackbean noodle addict I can attest this is the best place hands down. They use potato starch in their batter for their pork which makes it so deliciously crispy but with that mochi type of bite. The jjang sauce is thick and doesn't disintegrate so you're able to dip the pork in it. Service is good and they give you free pickled radish! You can also ask for cut onion in vinegar if you're a die hard~

However, the dish I was most excited about, the Jajangmyeon, was disappointing -- the flavor was very mild and lacked depth. Unfortunately, the sweet and sour pork was not good at all. While it was battered and fried, most pieces were almost entirely batter with very little actual pork inside, which was quite disappointing. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly, and I really liked the clean and pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant. However, because the food did not meet my expectations overall, I'm giving this place

Great Atmosphere and Excellent Soft Tofu Stew…read more I visited Hansik for dinner on a recommendation from a colleague, and I'm glad I did! The restaurant is very accessible with plenty of parking around the building and a wheelchair-friendly entrance. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. The interior is lovely--very clean and has a great vibe that makes you feel comfortable right away. The Meal I ordered the Oyster Soft Tofu Stew, which came with a side of rice, a fresh egg, and a variety of banchan (side dishes). The Stew: It had a nice spicy kick, but cracking the raw egg into the boiling pot mellowed the heat perfectly. It was delicious and paired wonderfully with the rice. The Banchan: While the variety was nice, I found most of the side dishes to be a bit too salty for my personal taste, so I didn't finish them all. To-Go: I also ordered a Seafood Scallion Pancake to take home, and the staff was happy to package it up for me. Overall, it was a very pleasant solo dining experience with great service. I'd definitely return for the stew!
