Except for the curb, there are no stairs or steps to get inside. It might be a tight fit get a mobility vehicle around inside though. Friendly faces greet you as you walk in the door. Small eating area but it'll do in a pinch (I usually take mine food to go anyway). The combination meals are your best value: served with white or black rice, daikon pickles, kimchi, steamed veggies or mac salad for under $20. I've found most of the meats, including the chicken, are fairly fatty. It's a little work to remove the fat but it's all still tasty. The classic Korean bulgogi is made with beef but Koba Grill charges $2 extra for it for some reason. Lots of grilled items, bowls, and all the noodle & rice dishes you'd expect, along with a small kid's menu with kid-sized portions. OK if you're craving a quick Korean snack. read more

Tried this for the first time tonight - I was pleasantly surprised how many gluten free options there were! We got our food to-go and the portions were huge. The food will last us at least two, maybe three meals. We got the beef bulgogi (ordered it spicy) with black rice and kimchi, spicy pork with black rice and kimchi, and kimchi fried rice with pork. Everything was really good, but we both decided we won't get spicy next time; they were super spicy for us (my husband tolerates hotter spice than me, and this was too spicy for him). No matter when I walk in, I'm always greeted by the cashier. If I have questions about anything on the menu, she's always happy to answer my questions. The food is excellent. You get the same quality and flavor every time you order. I appreciate that. The ambiance in the store is it's usually partially full, people always seem to be enjoying their food, and they give free egg drop soup too, while you're waiting for your food. We ordered the sampler, the gochujang pork belly, and the spicy chicken and shrimp. The sampler seemed to be all previously frozen, which is not surprising for a fast casual restaurant, but it was still a bit disappointing given the price point. Of the countless number of times my wife and I have been in the area, we just couldn't find the time to go and try-out new places to eat because of our busy schedule. This was one of those rare occurences when the stars aligned just right with our empty and hungry bellies that we were finally able to visit Koba Grill. We wanted to visit the Sherwood location, but it just so happen that we found another Koba in the vicinity where we were spending our morning and that was in the Beaverton area. You can never deny a hungry stomach and there was 2 of us, so majority rules. My wife and I literally spent about 10 minutes dumbfounded trying to study the menu not once, not twice but thrice and we still couldn't figure out what to get. The gal behind the counter was very patient with us as she quickly identified us a newbies and offered to suggest some of their best selections. I ended up going with the two-item combination comprising of all Pork- (Gochujang Pork Belly- to fill my empty belly and Spicy Pork) and my wife opted for the Off-the-grill Beef Bulgogi. Both our dishes have a choice of side-orders and I went with mac salad, while my wife went with kimchi. We were perplexed when the gal said they offered "Black Rice". Try it- I think it's a combination of red cargo rice and brown rice. Really delicious!! Sorry honey, but I think my dish was the clear winner here. Took about 15-20 minutes for our order to finish. Well worth the wait. As a result, they give you a generously large amount of food. I just loved the flavor of the Gochujang, just the right spiciness and grilled flavor off the pork fat from the belly. The flavor was mouth-watering from both pork choices. Always having your wife with you is a benefit as almost everytime we order something different from each other and as a result, you get to try another item from the menu and your wife as well, so it works out for both loving parties. There is no place to eat inside but if you walk out the door and turn left, you will see some seating in front of the Cold Stone Creamery right at the corner. I was freezing my butt off and I told my wife we needed to go to the car and eat. Inside the car I was sweating my butt off but I'd rather be in the safety and comfort of my own vehicle and then having my car just smell like the food I just ate. With all jokes aside, I can't wait to bring my kids to this place the next time we head back up here in the summer. I find the prices to be fair and in-line and if I was buying this in the Bay Area, for sure they would have been 3-4 dollars more each. The total for both of our dishes was just under $32. I think I just found our go-to Korean grill and for sure we will be marking this as one of our new favorite places to stop by and grab some grub. read more

The portions are large and the food is decent in flavor. If you want to play it safe, and have some fast and easy Asian food, this is the place to go. Recently i went to the one in Beaverton and loved it, so I decided to go here. Got the same dish (Tangy Spicy Chicken) but there were some noticeable differences. First, the lunch specials are not clearly advertised. I would not have known about them if it were not for the other restaurant. Secondly, the lunch prices were $1 higher and add another $1 if I get noodles vs rice or veggies. That's already $2 more for the same dish than the Beaverton one. The other thing is they only had one soup for customers, which was Egg Flower. No Hot and Sour which was my favorite. The other restaurant had both. Finally, the bowl itself just wasn't as tasty or saucy as the Beaverton one. I'm not sure why the inconsistencies, but they did say they increased the prices for lunch just recently. But YELP Customer Service, unfortunately disappoints me so often :( I had made a mistake of posting this under the Sherwood rather than the Tigard location. Upon discovering this, I emailed Yelp asking them to please transfer my review over so I do not have to re-write it, re-post pics, lose photo likes, and lose the UFC's associated with the review. Good thing I still have the pics as I have been clearing out my phone of pics already posted......So starting over..... The first time I came here, it was 5 stars! If I never came back, my review would have been a 5. But...I came 4 more times! I so wanted it to stay a 5. THE GOOD: All their soy is gluten free as are many of the dishes It's fast! Free egg foo soup (I forget the exact name) But the employees never once mention it, you have to notice it yourself near the silverware. I missed it the first couple times. They offer purple rice that's cooked to perfection! The first time we had the pork bulgogi it was so delicious! So tender, juicy and flavorful! The grilled onions in the dishes are delicious. The cooked veggies actually have some flavor unlike the ones up the road at Roxys. The NOT SO GOOD: The pork bulgogi was not good after the first time. Don't get me wrong, some pieces were, but too much of the dish was all fatty pieces, as much as a third! These aren't the tasty fatty meat pieces, their just fat, no meat. When I asked for no fatty pieces or at least less, I was told there weren't any, which was just silly. The chicken bulgogi doesn't have the fat pieces you find in the pork, but it's just OK. The first time I had it, I would say it was very good, not excellent like the pork before, but very good. The second time it wasn't very good, the flavor was not the same. It's so inconsistent here. The macaroni salad here tasted like what people buy in those huge boxes at Costco. The Roxy's mac salad up the road is super yummy, but Roxy's dishes are mostly not gluten free. The prices went up THREE times during my 4 visits! And we are not talking a quarter each time, but like 25% more between the first and last visit. While in the area, I decided to try this place because of the good reviews it's been getting. The space is nice, with ample seating and a big menu to choose from. I got a combo plate to go and picked the spicy pork and bulgogi. I also partake on the free self serve egg-drop soup (they even had to-go containers for it, which is a nice bonus). Unfortunately, the taste is just not there. Generally speaking, everything was bland which is especially bad considering Korean food is known for their bold flavors. The spicy pork was cut in small pieces, not like any other Korean restaurant's spicy pork I've seen. It was also dry and not spicy enough. The bulgogi is at least the same form I've always seen, but again, flavor is not there. This is easily 2-3 meals worth of noodles, veggies and meat. The flavor was okay but it's not necessarily "to die for". Tastes mostly like allspice, but the amount of sauce was perfect. Nothing was too dry. But for the flavor I'd probably add teriyaki sauce next time. All my beef was lean and no fatty pieces, so that's a plus. Nice fresh veggies. 4/5 stars considering I was just craving yakisoba and went to the first place I could find it. It seems like a good deal for the amount you get and the quality of the cooking. This is a very nice addition to the Whole Foods shopping center on Scholls Ferry. Nice atmosphere, free egg drop soup that is really dang good, and quality ingredients. My youngest had beef bulgogi and loved it. Good portion size too. He can practically eat an adult portion anyway. My wife had the adult portion with black rice and veggies. Quality veg too, none of this boiled to death cabbage that gets served at other places. I got pork belly with a nice chili oil spicy sauce. Tonight I went there at 8 pm, all their lights were on and all staff was there, there was no signs for them being closed on the door.
