Well... all I can say is wow do I miss my go to place "Taste of Sichuan" in Beaverton! They had a fire a few months back and we are struggling to find anything even remotely good. (We went at least once every week or so) I wish I had good things to say about Sir Crazy Kitchen. For the price of Stir Crazy Kitchen the amount of food was a joke! The flavor was lackluster and bland as all get-out! That should summarize my visit.

I'm so sad to lose my favorite Chinese restaurant. We were near Stir Ceazy for the first time since moving out of the PDX metro a couple years ago. I got so excited for my favorite Mandarin Crispy Eggplant and my husband was looking forward to House Special Lo Mein. What a huge disappointment. It looks like there are new owners and definitely new recipes. Our food was not delicious. Bland, lacking everything we loved like flavor, color, fresh ingredients. the eggplant was covered in raw onions...what? The lo mein had no protein- a few small pieces of chicken but no shrimp, beef or vegetables. The kitchen has been covered by a wall- you can no longer see the chefs cooking. In this case it's probably a good thing... They're cooking garbage back there. We left our full plates on the table and left. We paid the full price even after talking to the owner and the person at the front. They didn't seem to care.

One thing Portland area does not have good option, is Korean Chinese restaurant? Korean Chinese food is very different from regular Chinese food and in big cities, there are many choices., Recently found Stir Crazy Kitchen, and I am so glad gave it a try. Their Kanpoong chicken, not on w gloss menu, just on Korean menu is crispy and plenty spicy, sweet well caramelized. Jampong ( spicy seafood noodle soup) was also really good. Not much seafood in it thigh. Also has Korean Chinese style sweet and sour beef. Nice and crunchy ( request sauce on the side) was excellent as well. So if you are seeking Korean Chinese food, this is the best place in portland area. Next time will try their regular menu.

I recently tried this spot after hearing that they are owned by the workers at former legendary spot, China Jade. And in fact they kept all of their menu from that restaurant also. Make sure to ask for the secret Korean/China Jade menu. So had to try and was delighted to see that the quality of food stayed the same. It was as delicious as I remembered. The jjam bong portions were giant, an spicy broth was so refreshing. I highly recommend! I also noticed that the front of the house was being managed by one person, she was so kind attentive and was working extremely hard. This restaurant didn't seem too busy, an I think that's such a shame! The food is excellent with incredible pricing. Especially the lunch specials. I hope others find the time to stop by an enjoy this excellent food.

Really like some of the dishes here, especially the ma po tofu, hot sour soup, and the Korean style Japjae.

One door closes and another door opens in this case. After searching on Yelp, we were glad to find this place in old downtown Beaverton and so my daughter and I decided to check it out after watching the Masters of the Universe movie at nearby Century 16. The Korean Corn Dogs did not disappoint. I loved the sweet, crunchy coating on the outside and of course the cheese on the inside. The corn dog didn't have a full-size dog from end to end but that didn't matter as you get a chance to work your way to it at the end after you get through the cheesy part. Corn dogs came drizzled with ketchup and mustard but you may want to ask ahead of time not to put that if you're not a traditional kind of corn dog eater or if you want yours plain. We got the 3 pack for $12. We also grabbed a side order of cheese corn and seafood pancake. I found the pancake not having many pieces of seafood in it and mostly scallions so not my favorite. I may want to try their soups and also rice dishes on the next visit but our primary visit was to try their Corn dogs and it was a hit! The restaurant is a small/mid size corridor leading to the back area near the kitchen with 2-4 person tables with seats.

Great Atmosphere and Excellent Soft Tofu Stew…read more I visited Hansik for dinner on a recommendation from a colleague, and I'm glad I did! The restaurant is very accessible with plenty of parking around the building and a wheelchair-friendly entrance. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. The interior is lovely--very clean and has a great vibe that makes you feel comfortable right away. The Meal I ordered the Oyster Soft Tofu Stew, which came with a side of rice, a fresh egg, and a variety of banchan (side dishes). The Stew: It had a nice spicy kick, but cracking the raw egg into the boiling pot mellowed the heat perfectly. It was delicious and paired wonderfully with the rice. The Banchan: While the variety was nice, I found most of the side dishes to be a bit too salty for my personal taste, so I didn't finish them all. To-Go: I also ordered a Seafood Scallion Pancake to take home, and the staff was happy to package it up for me. Overall, it was a very pleasant solo dining experience with great service. I'd definitely return for the stew!

The seafood scallion pancake was a cut above, lovely crisp edges. Galbi, Bi Bim Bap, and Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) were all worthy. Soju prices were a touch high, but overall there's good value here. Easy parking and above average service for a Korean restaurant.

THE FOOD: - For 2 adults & 2 kids under 6, we ordered: The Fox & The Crow flight of meat, mandu, japchae, & gyeran jjim. This was more than enough food for us & even had leftovers to bring home. The quality of meat was great! You do cook it yourself, unlike some other Korean BBQ places in LA & NYC but that's also part of the authentic experience. I thought the banchan was not wow but decent. I was pleasantly surprised w/ how much I liked their japchae which had the perfect chewy noodle & flavorful so I do recommend getting that w/ ur meats & the steamed egg is good here too. OVERALL TIPS: - Don't be afraid to ask for what you want! We requested lettuce to eat w/ our meat, more banchan & asked for a new grill before we grilled our 3rd meat. Servers were nice & we didn't wait long for anything. - For those with kids: I recommend coming here right when they opened for dinner, around 5pm. Their big booths worked will with kids & having enough space for them to color & do other activities so the mamas could enjoy our meal. Lastly, don't forget to snap a photo of your kids by the Jinro soju frog up front too!
