So good!! The food truck came to our neighborhood and it was the best one yet! I had the bibibop bowl with bulgogi and my husband had the bibibop bowl with spicy pork. They were both amazing. You have to get the egg on top too. The bowls come with a nice spicy red sauce on them and they give you more on the side as well. I thought the sauce was nice and spicy but my hot loving hubby said it was mild. I will definitely keep an eye out for this truck again next time. So good! read more

Nice to have an occasional Bi Bim Bap option around here! It's realtively cheap, the food is good quality, and you get a good lunch sized portion of food. The meat was (bulgolgi) was particularly tasty. My only complaints: it's an add on for an egg in a bi bim bap, and it comes fried instead of over-easy. There is something magical about the egg yolk running through a nicely made bi bim bap, but it is to-go from a food truck, so I might be asking too much. Koco markets itself as a Korean fusion food truck that sells bibimbap (Korean rice bowls with meat and veggies) and burritos filled with kimchi fried rice and Korean style meats. When I went they unfortunately weren't offering the burritos (not sure if this is permanent or not) but the bibimbap was quite satisfying. I tried both the bulgogi (sweet soy sauce marinated beef) and the spicy pork bibimbaps and each were packed with flavor. The service was also fantastic despite the decent sized line that had formed. It would have been nice if the portions were a bit bigger and if the marinade wasn't as sweet but overall I felt it was great quality for a food truck. Definitely recommend stopping by for lunch! I visited this food truck during Severna Park Tuesday. I think it's a solid 3.5 stars. The folks that run it are really great. Ordered Jopchae with Bulgogi and the portion was generous. What can I say? These guys rock! The service is FAST and friendly, the food is very AFFORDABLE, and it's DELICOUS! There's a variety of Korean food to choose from, including the Jap Chae noodle bowls (about $12), and the Bibimbap ($10). The bulgogi topping was very delicious - slightly smoky and sweet. You can also get chicken or other veggies as toppings. For $4, you can get double meat, but I felt there was plenty to balance with the delicious veggies and rice. I did shell out an extra buck for some kimchi; worth it! I've seen these guys at Food Truck Wednesdays in Arbutus and I can totally see going back to them. KoCo is my guilty pleasure when I want to order lunch at work! This truck has been a staple within the researchers around the JH hospital and that is for good reason! KoCo typically stops by JHH. (Wolfe and Ashland) Tuesdays and Fridays for lunch, offering rice bowls, bibimbap, and japchae with a variety of meat or veggie options (Tofu or eggplant, both of which are incredible). I usually order a bibimbap and rotate between having it with spicy pork, fried tofu, or eggplant. I usually add a fried egg (extra $1) and occasionally go for some kimchi. The prices are solid for the size, good filling (almost too much) lunch for around $11 depending on your add-ons. They always include a side of chili sauce that gives you just enough heat with some sweetness to balance it out. They tend to get pretty busy during the lunch rush (11:30-1) so you may end up waiting as long as 30 minutes after you order. You can call in your order ahead of time, or be prepared for a bit of a wait. Overall it is a spot near and dear to my heart that I know I'll keep coming back to as long as I keep working nearby! read more

Based on experiences elsewhere, I didn't even like bulgogi, but when I sunk my teeth into the moist, marinated, thinly sliced, dark laces of bulgogi in my $9 K-Burrito, I realized there's such a thing as REALLY GOOD bulgogi. Texture matters, and they mastered this somehow even more than restaurants. They did not overstuff it with rice--a big plus. As a result, the rice did its job to showcase the bulgogi, tofu, and eggplant (they were totally cool with mixing the options, another thumbs up). I can see this being a viable option for low-carb/picky eaters needing to request that everything be made into a salad or something. You know those people. It's great for vegetarians too, since you get a variety of veggies from the bowl option, and can pick from egg, tofu, and eggplant. I tried it for the first time around 1:45pm on Thursday (which I hear is their day to be in front of the UMB hospital out on the Greene St & Baltimore St. intersection). I will need to eat the other half for dinner because I just finished the first half and I'm completely stuffed. One of my favorite b'more food trucks given lack of good Korean options in the city. Both times I've visited have been on Broadway in front of Hopkins Hospital. During lunch hours, this truck gets fairly busy and with only 2 people inside, there can be a bit of a wait for your food. But given the wait, the food is worth it. The service is also very friendly. I've gotten the Bimbimbop $9 (tried both spicy chicken and bulgogi) with an fried egg ($1 extra). The meat is seasoned well, at the end your plate is topped off with spicy korean red sauce, dry spices, and some kind of sweetish sauce. They give you a fairly good amount. This quite possibly may be my favorite food truck in Baltimore! They park close to my job every Thursday near University hospital. So I get to sneak from my office and get some of this deliciousness! The only downside is that they only except cash, so be prepared. I've only tried the Bibimbap and the k-burrito! I don't eat red meat or pork, so I always get the fiery chicken or bulgogi chicken. Both yummy! The flavor that they get into the food is unmatched! You won't be disappointed! Today I talked my boyfriend into meeting me there for lunch. This was his first time trying. I usually get the bulgogi bibimbap with fried egg, which costs $10 ($9 + $1 for the egg). Even when there is a long line, the wait is not too bad. You have to pay with cash though. The serving size is generous, and the food is very tasty. Based on the food alone, I would give it at least 4.5 stars, but the guy is super duper nice, it just makes my day going to the truck. The bibimbap is one of the best I've had in the Baltimore area, not just among food trucks. It comes with rice, beef, and a wide variety of vegetables like cucumbers and carrots. Since the last review I've tried their Chicken K-Buritto, Beef K-Burrito, BibimBap w/ Fried egg and Mandoo (Fried dumplings). All of them are really good with the exception of dumplings. I would not recommend the dumplings because it looks really deep fried and doesn't have much flavor. They do give you soy sauce to dip in, but still it's not worth it. As for the K-Burritos, both Chicken and Beef are good, but I think Beef has more flavor to it. I've ordered them multiple times so far and I feel like they're skimping on the amount of meat they put in the burritos. These days, half the burrito is rice and you barely see the meat anymore. However it's still really good, especially when you squeeze the lime onto it with each of your bite. I think as long as they stop skimping on the meat for the burritos I would still give it pretty good review. read more

Coming from ATL where there are TONS of korean food and legit korean food too, I had some serious cravings when I moved to Baltimore. Lucky for me, my classmate recommended this food truck to me which happens to be only a short 5min walk from my school! Things that I have tried: Bibimbap: PROS: -good portion (esp for small eaters): i can usually take half back, but a guy probably could eat the whole thing and feel fully satisfied. -great flavor -great texture: rice is done really well, not soggy -comes with a small little spicy sauce container CONS: -I wish there was a little more quantity for the price. I believe it's about $9-$10 for a bowl. Japchae is $11 which is...really expensive for the amount that you get. I realize japchae is really time-consuming and labor intensive, but $11?!?! slightly over seasoned: to my tastes, I found that I needed way more rice than what was given for the amount of what I thought to be over-seasoning of the meat. Bulgogi Bowl: PROS: -good quantity -good flavor CONS: -over-seasoned meat -no vegetables whatsoever : it is what it is, bulgogi meat on rice -not sure given the above comment, that it is worth the price. The container isn't completely "packed" either. But flavor is all there. It is really authentic though and definitely hits the spot. To my knowledge food truck food is generally going to be more expensive in general so you might as well spend your money on a legit-tasting food truck than a so-so tasting restaurant. BULGOGI BIBIMBAP. NOM NOM NOM. I never thought that bulgogi bibimbap ($9, cash only) from a food truck could be so stellar. My serving featured a generous portion of beef bulgogi garnished with sesame seeds, hot sauce, bean sprouts, cabbage, cucumbers, carrots, and some other vegetables atop a bed of rice. The beef was tender and had a subtle sweet and spicy seasoning. Although the rice was not made crispy in a stone bowl like it traditionally is in restaurants (I presume that serving stone bowls to customers is not a good business proposition), to my amazement, the texture of the rice was otherwise perfect. Call it Korean "al dente" -- not too dry and not too soggy. For a food truck that is parked outside UMMC every Thursday from 11am until 3pm, I'm amazed that they can maintain rice so well for 4 hours. (Take it from this Asian girl whose ancestors have been cooking rice for generations.) While preparing my order, the friendly guys who own this truck told me that they've been running Koco Food Truck for only 3 months, but they've been absolutely loving the experience so far. Their truck has yet to be decked out in colorful bling (looking at you, Gypsy Queen and GrrChe), so you'll have to recognize this truck by its modest white exterior and its small sign on the side that reads "Koco Food Truck" in small font. Anyway, definitely try Koco Food Truck if they're in your vicinity, but remember your cash, as they're cash-only and have yet to hop onto the Square payments bandwagon.
