I wish I could leave negative stars. WORST experience I've ever had at ANY store. EVER I NEVER shop at kohl's but this time I had a gift card. So I was browsing and digging through EVERYTHING trying to find something that I "had to have"/needed. I found a small nook of clearance items which had some celebrity and generic roller perfumes, they were half open and looked kinda old. I tried a few on my wrist, thought they were okay. I priced checked them and realized they weren't clearance, at which point I put them back because they weren't that great to pay full price for. so i continue my digging and I begin to feel followed, everywhere i go an employee happens to show up to "clean up" next to me. I start feeling weird so i pay for some small items and leave. As I walk out and guy in regular clothes comes out the dark showing me a badge saying that he needs to talk to me and if i can go in back office with him. He says he's LP and said he'd been watching me on the cameras. Knowing that I had been watched, I immediately got defensive and said "I didn't steal anything, check my bag, and I don't want to go in the back office with you." He says "I know you didn't take anything but I saw you trying on perfumes that weren't testers and technically your are walking out of the store with our merchandise on you" I continued to argue, and he kept insisting that its not a big deal, and that I go in the office to give him my information so he can damage out the product. I was nervous and paranoid about that he would do with my information, I know that LP will say that only to get a bill or charges in the mail later ( I have friends that work in Lost Prevention). I also didn't want be seen "escorted into the back" as if I'm some kind of criminal. Plus I thought the whole thing was stupid and unnecessary. All perfumes looked as if they should be damaged out anyway. Maybe its my pride, but I kept refusing because I felt i didn't do anything wrong. Another expressionless woman all in black with a walkie talkie comes out to "back him up" at this point, I'm overwhelmed. I begin tearing up, I mean, balling. The lady says were not forcing you were just asking you. So i say "if your asking me then I can say, no". I begin to walk away when they run up behind me to my car to write down my license plate and call the cops. I get so angry and end up giving my up my ID. So thats the first and last time i ever shop there. read more

This place was very nice. The store was clean and organized. The employees were very nice and work very fast. I think they need to open more registers because I was a little upset about the line wait time. It's not the employees fault because they were all working very efficiently. I just never saw the point in having four registers with only one functioning at a time. If they would get all the registers open and work faster the store would be ideal. There is plenty of parking so at least that's a plus you don't have to search for parking very long! read more

another visit to Kohl's had to use up some of the Kohl's cash I earned from Christmas shopping I have actually become a fan of online shopping with store pick up placed an order for a few items, it shows the closest store with items available, and then allows you to pick up at your convenience (time limit thought) I usually do this at the Cerritos store location, but the items I wanted were not in stock there, so Buena Park was the closest location that did have them I received a confirmation of the order and it was ready for pick up in a little less than an hour pretty good turn time Kohls! like that they have a parking spot reserved for online purchase/pick up customers, sort of like some restaurants they probably deserve an extra half star for convenience, just not 4 stars read more

Upon entering the Buena Park, CA store I was taken back by all the clothes that lay on the floor in most departments. While waiting to check out (2 registers and 10 customers in line) one of the cashiers ran out of register tape and called for a manager to assist her. Some 10 to 15 minutes later, Yesenia (the manager) arrived and restored the tape in the register. A customer asked Yesenia, if she would consider opening another register. Yesenia, the Manager replied yes, walked away and never returned. read more

Some of the employees at Kohls buena park clearly don't want to be there. This is the 2nd time I encountered someone with terrible attitude working at Amazon return desk. Several month ago it happened but, I thought may be its a person's bad day. Today I went to return item from Amazon, there were few people ahead of me. This guy at the counter was rolling his eyes at the customer who had multiple items to return. When it came my turn, he sigh loudly before scanning my code.even said out loud don't want to be there. I do not like this Kohl's at all. Really, I don't like any of them, but how can you not show a little love when they send you so many damn good coupons all the time? Especially the $10 off anything... or the infamous 15% off... However, this location sucks. Customer service is a severe hit or miss; I'd compare it to life or death. That's how extreme it is, lol. Though I'm fairly pleasant myself so I never get any attitude from them, it's just that they don't really know what they're doing. Most stuff gets done. The main reason I'm making this review, though... is this Kohl's it the MESSIEST ONE EVER. Everything is on the floor. You think I exaggerated when I just said everything? Take a visit yourself and tell me the selections of jeans are mixed up, the stuffed animals are sitting all over the floor by the entrance, and you don't see a spoon by the shoes. Think THAT'S funny? I just listed off things I saw today. Makes for an interesting shopping experience. Stuff to chuckle at. They never have anything in stock, either. I wish this Kohl's would step up their game a bit but it's so close to my house that I always stop by this one before I go to another Kohl's to get what I want. read more

RUDE...RUDE...RUDE...DON'T TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Once you read my story you may not want to take your kids here. I visited the Buena Park location today with my mother and a 3 1/2 year old son. My son was at the toy section with ME looking at some Hot Wheels item when a store employee asked me: "Is he with you?" POINTING!!!! at my son who was only LOOKING!!! not even touching, shaking nor damaging the items. I was extremely upset with: 1. His tone of voice used front of my impressionable child 2. Not providing the customer freedom to browse and shop 3. Him pointing at my child I had to remove my child from this store immediately because he thought he did something wrong and started crying. I had to reassure my child that he did not do anything wrong. This is the worse store I've been. We had better customer service at the Dollar store. Kids are customers too. read more

The manager there is really nice it's a clean location. The clothes are always folded and ready.

Store was clean well lit and Myra the cashier was super friendly! The Levi's men's area was very organized and waxy to find sizes.

Kohl's has some great deals and they have an amazing return policy where they are willing to accept an item back if you are unhappy with it. Customer service is about average, but I come because you can occasionally find a gem that's also a cool bargain. read more

This place is great, huge parking lot and located in an area with lots of shops and restaurants. Of course, not all Kohl's have an Amazon return drop off. This one does and I love it. Easy drop off and friendly service. I usually put my return items in a box and label it, but I hear you don't even have to do that. Just bring your item and Kohl's will do all the work for you. This location has the slowest cashiers. You would think they would speed up the process, especially during holiday shopping. A cashier left her post to get something located at the other side of the store while there was a long line. Can't they use their walkie-talkies to communicate to other associates? I ordered a pair of shoes online and I didn't bother checking the size assuming they were the correct size. My mistake as they were the wrong size. If you order something online, make sure you check the item before you leave the store. In addition, they have supposedly a special line for online pickup but it seemed pointless, as they helped the people in the other line for exchanges first. read more

On Dec 23 I called and Carlos helped me out. He located the item I wanted to buy and had it held at the customer service desk. I went on Christmas Eve and the line wasn't that bad and I was able to purchase a gift in no time! read more

NIce clothes with great prices. The only thing that was irritating was the fact that none of their clothes were on the correct racks or anything. Everything was mostly scattered around so that when I went to pay, alot of the things I picked out wasn't on sale or had a different price. read more

The employees at this location are unfriendly and don't know how to talk to customers. For example, the store had a black out while I was shopping two days ago, so they had everyone fill out a sheet so that they can hold our items while they fix whatever is wrong with their electricity. They told us that they would call us later so that we can purchase our times. Now, we come back and all of the stuff that we spent hours shopping for is gone. The employees just put our stuff back on the racks without calling us to ask if we want to purchase them, which we did. When we confronted the employees and the manager about it, they had nothing to offer to correct their wrong doings and even gave us attitude about it. Someone from the corporate office should really come and check out what their employees are doing. read more

Horrible staff and customer service all in the name of loss prevention. I was making a return of 2 golf polo shirts. You know all thieves love stealing and returning cheap golf polos right?? These were a gift that was mailed to me and I just wanted store credit to purchase some different sizes. The little POS at customer service said that they changed their policy and that they were not able to do that anymore. I asked when did that happen and he was like ummm like a couple weeks ago. I asked for a manager. The manager walked up and said "yes". No may I help you with a smile or anything. I told her I just wanted store credit and she was ok well what's the problem and the little POS said that the "LP" said they could not make those returns. What did the manager do? She did a non receipt return and I ended up losing 15.00. I will also be speaking to the store manager as well as corporate due to the morons at this location. read more

I live half a block away from a Kohls but i rarely shop there simply because it doesn't compare to the Buena Park store. The Buena Park location is always put together no matter how busy. Unlike other stores where sometimes u can feel ignored their staff are always happy to help if I can't find what I'm looking for. Katie the store manager stopped what she was doing and looked up the style of dress shirt I was looking for when I couldn't find it (She told me its in stock during Spring time and then explained all my options if I wanted to look for it online later, great customer service!). Today I went in with my elderly parents, and unfortunately the items I went to purchase were not in stock. So we headed over to the kiosk in the women's department to order the items. Well, I have long fingernails, so typing on the kiosk was not easy. It kept entering wrong letters, backspacing when I didn't want to, erasing things... I was getting so frustrated! I was about to give up when I noticed a clerk nearby. I asked if she could help me. She stopped what she was doing and assisted me. We went through the whole process of entering my information, card number, coupon, etc. on the kiosk... and she hit "enter" to complete the order. The kiosk kept "spinning" saying it was processing my order. For several minutes. The clerk called for assistance and a young man came to help. He went to get an iPad, and then my clerk went through the whole process all over again to order my two items on the iPad. She was so patient and helpful. I kept thanking her for helping me. I was very frustrated, but her excellent customer service and willingness to assist me made me calm down and remember why I love this Kohls store!! I want to recognize Maricela who was working in the women's dept. by the return area. Whoever is the manager at this store, please recognize this young lady for her excellent service! My privacy was violated at Kohls. They recently changed their changing room policy making all changing rooms unisex. Keep in mind doors are see through and they don't lock. While I was down to my thong in the changing room a little girl flung my door open and a male stood facing me approximately 4ft away! Also, they had no signs implementing this new change. Normally, this has been the kohls that I frequent. And I've never had a problem here up until yesterday. Even when I have an issue with a place I wouldn't give it a bad review. But this irritated me and really left a sour taste in my mouth. I was at this kohls yesterday with my son (an infant) I had a couple bulky items and the place was packed. Probably because their $5 off promotion was ending. However, crowds don't usually bug me. I normally check out at customer service rather then the normal lines. I don't know why.. No particular reason. I tend to do this at all kohls's. I figured since I had some really heavy, big items and I'm pushing a big stroller it wouldn't be a problem either. Well the lady at customer service keeps looking at me as she's helping the customer in front of me. I thought this was strange, but whatever. So as she finished that customer I walk up, cheerful and my happy self. She says to me "I can't help you if you're checking out, this is only for returns" and I said... "Really?" She said "yes, I have to help the people who have returns" and I said "okay" and I looked behind me... Not a single person in line.. I mean... No one. And I said "but there's no one in line?" And then there was a lady looking at clothes kind of close to where a line would be and she asked that lady "are you in line?" And the lady looked at her like she was crazy and said "no I'm not". Well the employee looked at me and said "I'll take you this one time but not again." I ignored her rude comment and said thank you being the nice person I am. I then asked her "how's your day?" Trying to be nice and she ignored me and was just not being very "customer service friendly" considering the dept she was working in that day. I've never seen her there before. I go to this kohls at least twice a month and I'm an valued credit card holder (meaning I've spent a LOT of money there). And I am shocked and surprised at her little interest in helping someone with a stroller and big bulky items and no line. Easy to say, I will avoid this kohls all together now and not spend my money here. I'd rather help another kohls meet their sales objectives than go back here again. This store has gone way downhill. They got a remodel which is nice, but they have a new set of managers who aren't friendly or helpful in the slightest, and a foul-mouthed employee named Tammy who rolls her eyes and then laughs with other employees about customers when they walk away. This is the most uninviting store now, and I cancelled my charge card after seeing how these people act. I've never been treated worse than by Tammy, even though I simply asked a question about an expired Kohl's Cash, just wanting to know the policy. I didn't even ask her to make an exception or complain, I just didn't know how many days past it would still work... I left feeling embarrassed and upset, and now I have to go to a different store to return everything I bought because I never want to go back in there. After I return everything I will never shop with Kohl's again. Funny how one person can make a company lose a loyal customer. read more

I too have been treated this way at Cerrito's location for looking at their gross makeup testers. This, along with pretty much all other stores, is so messy. Clothes are everywhere. just to let you know i don't go shoppin all that much, but i do try to shop my local stores. in the past few years this Kohls has gone down hill. the racks are sloppy, and so many clothes packed in you can't shop. the lines are always long and they are soooo slow at the checkout. on a positive side, the clerks are always nice and helpful and offering to save you money with the coupons. but if you are in a hurry or don't have much patience i would not shop here read more

This place used to be the "shopping spot" for my family! They used to send us 15%-30% off coupons so we would go there almost every weekend for clothes, shoes, even blankets, jewelries, shopping done! But.... i realized even with the discounts, their products are expensive. :(( This place is huge and it's not organized well. Today I went into kohl's to buy two black belts for work and as I walked in I noticed there were no staff and it was very dead! So I was like okay how hard can it be to find the men's section by myself? Well it was harder than I thought plus there was no one out on the sales floor to help me and so I finally found the belts and saw they were marked down and that was they only good thing about this store!! The customer service sucks really bad no one greets you or offers to help you find anything but at check out they want to sell me a Kohls credit card like really! I love this store..don't get me wrong every employee i come across is so nice. I just wish the store manager would put more effort to keeping the store clean.. its such a shame to see the dressing rooms so messy to the point where you don't have enough space to hang your clothes you're trying on. Brand new clothes all over the floor. You have such great staff and great location it would be nice to see a nice clean store. I won't stop shopping here cause again i love the customer service i can say management is doing a great job with their employees. Just a nice clean store to walk into would be nice.
