8:40-8:50 6/11/17 Came to kohls looking for dickies work pants and browsed around couldn't find it on my own. Found a lady who I thought would be nice and I asked her hi, where do you carry dickies work pants and she says "hahhh" and I repeated the question and she just points and says in the kid section. What's the point of being in customer service if that is how you are going to behave and on top of that look at me in a weird way. I am not Spanish speaker although I have tan skin. Please don't waste your time here. Putting it nicely, the customer service is subpar. I was looking at a necklace and I'm assuming( because of the way I was spoken to) that the night manager was the person I interacted with. I was going to head up to the register when she said " you need to go to the front. We're closed Now". Uhhhh okay. The tone was beyond rude. And to think I was going to spend money here. I walked to the front, left all my items on the checkstand and walked out. Never use the location. If you want just deal with online Kohls you give out "coupons" and all these promos and perks but you don't make your customers feel wanted. I'd rather spend 3 dollars more at ANY OTHER PLACE than be treated like that when I'm spending over $100. When you close at 9 and it's 901 I don't expect to be shoved out like cattle. If you want your patrons money then you need to act like it and train your employees on customer service etiquette. Just make an announcement like a normal business. Seems pretty easy right? My review is based on the service I received from the jewelry department 2/2. My fiancé and I went to look at wedding bands since we had such a pleasant experience with engagement ring shopping at Rossmoor/Seal Beach. I didn't think that would make such a difference). We waited just a few minutes which was fine because we were looking around anyway. When we were finally greeted the woman behind the counter was cold and rude. I asked to see a specific black Tungsten ring and as the lady (didn't get her name) pulled the ring out I had asked if we could get my fiancé sized because we didn't know what size would be comfortable for him. She said they didn't do that there but we might be able to go to a jeweler and have them take care of it. I'm hoping she was confused because I got sized from kohl's myself so why that changed between locations seems off. I asked if I would be able to buy that ring through her but in a different size but she simply said no, I don't carry any other sizes here. Only reason we asked was because my fiancé did the exact same thing for my engagement ring. He received helpful service from the Rossmoor/Seal Beach location where they ordered the ring for him and had it shipped to him. She offered no other help, no suggestions, it felt like we were bothering her and inconveniencing her while at work so we walked out. Thanks for turning away willing-to-pay customers. read more

This store is amazing. The customer service associates are excellent and excel at their positions. Every time I come in, nothing but a positive experience. People like the cashier Melynne made the visit pleasant and did not make us feel rushed. I have been to other Kohl's stores ( such as the one in Irvine) and was completely ignored. The associates and management at the Buena Park store need to teach the other Kohl's stores how customer service is suppose to be. read more

The prices and inventory at this store are wonderful. For the most part, each of the sections are kept well-stocked and neat. They mail and hand you coupons which encourage you to continue shopping there. Now for the downside--the lines. To see them stretching from the beginning of the check-out counters to near the entrance of the customer service section is very disheartening. People stand there for a long time carrying a handful of merchandise while waiting to pay (they have a few push baskets but these are hard to find.) They have far more check-out counters than cashiers. I have seen people drop their merchandise and walk-out. Hardly, a good indicator for them. Again, I enjoy the prices and products but the service is minimal and because of that, so is my business. read more

I haven't been to a Kohls in a very long time but I was recently gifted a gift card to Kohls and came to my local store to spend it along with the Kohls $10 cash because it's a pretty good deal. The store seemed like a total mess,especially the shoe section! I've been to the Cerritos town center location and it's much cleaner than this one, which really made me really regret the choice of coming here. We got what we wanted and went to checkout, being pretty satisfied with our findings despite the messy store. At the checkout, our shopping experience took a wrong turn. I had misplaced the Kohls cash card in my bag somewhere so I took like an extra minute to find it but the cashier lady just wasn't having it and gave me the stink eye. The line was pretty long when we got to the store, but it had died down when we were checking out. After that one transaction my boyfriend wanted to use his kohls cash card to buy a shirt, using the same gift card and she flat out said we couldn't do that. I'm sorry? Why in the world can't we? Gift cards should be treated like cash and we are from different households so why does it matter how we pay?? She explains in her dull tone that it is their policy and she can't do that because her manager is right behind her. So we asked to talk to the manager and gave her our reasoning that their policy is flawed. Who the heck would want to buy kohls gift cards if they can't even use them? The manager thought about it and let us do the transaction "just this one time" and we were on our way home, fuming about the rudest cashier ever and their ridiculous store policy. I would have given a one star rating because of this experience but I am pretty happy with our purchases because we got a nice men's dress shirt and bed sheets for around only $20 thanks to the kohls cash. read more

The short and long of it: Customer service here sucks because everyone is rude, lazy or both. The long of it: Trying to kill three birds with one stone, I went to this Kohl's because it was close to a Bed Bath and Beyond, where I bought my first set of wedding gifts. Kohl's was my second destination for another set of wedding gifts. I didn't realize what OUTSTANDING customer service I had gotten at BB&B until I entered a black hole otherwise known as Kohl's. I was able to get everything I needed quickly at BB&B because their wedding registry is very organized and user-friendly. I found at Kohl's, however, you have to search for everything on your own and you don't even know if the items will be in stock. And if that isn't tedious enough, the merchandise was all over the place. Different brands were mixed together. A lot of things were out of place and in general, the displays were just messy. It was so hard to find anything so I finally asked someone to help me. They both took a look at the list, pointed down an aisle and said, "It's down there, it's easy! Just look at this list and find the company that makes it." Right. I'm not stupid, I looked already and couldn't find it. After a LOT of scrounging around, I left with two random items on the registry, each item was the last one of it's kind in the store. The second disappointment was when I went to get rung up. There was a huge line because they had only one register open. I saw another woman ringing up customers in a second line and as soon as I approached it she yelled at me, "NO! I'm closed after this customer." Then she started ringing up one customer at a time at the jewelery department. WTF? After I saw she opened up another line at jewelry, I got out of line to go to that line and again was yelled at. "NO, I'm only takin' one customer. You gotta go back to the other line." I think I had "Hate Me" written on my forehead that day. Crappy customer service, bad inventory, disorganized store. So glad I know not to come back. read more

I want to give negative stars, but I cant. Worst experience of my life, after shopping I walk out of the store only to be chased by this woman who stops me and tells me I'm stealing and I need to come with her. After showing her my bag which I did not have to do, I decided to leave. She starts taking g my picture then grabs my hip. If that's not sexual harassment I don't know what is...what was I supposed to do. I was scared and left. I've never felt so violated in my life, ever! I decided to stick around and shop, and a lot of their products looked cute so I made a mental note "must come back to do extensive shopping." I've been coming to this kohls for years and have seen it go through different management and honestly this new management is the worst I've seen and coming here I've learned a thing or two of what managers are what and the main one I'm talking about is what you call an 01? I believe ? I get the store Can get messy but, you always find what your looking for or there are people always willing to help you! But honestly if your a manager or supervisor or even just a sales associate and you just choose to stand there and just criticize your employees work and not give a helping hand then why say anything at all? I've been to a few others Kohls and compared to them this place has horrible customer service. Like all Kohls it has a terrible checkout line. I saw an empty checkout stand and walked up and the girl says shes not ready, to go back in line. I was like "what a bitch". The customer service counter is hidden in the corner of the store. I used to find this Kohl's location quite decent, but not anymore. Is it just me, or are their prices quite high these days? They have sales, but the sales aren't all that great. I remember being able to find blouses at really great prices (less than $12) often but that's just not the case anymore. No way I'm going to pay more than $20something on blouses. I mean, call me cheap but... really?? I could find similar and/or BETTER clothing than what this Kohl's has to offer at one of those cheap hole-in-the-wall spots like Fashion Q. It's quite a mess in some areas of the store as well, especially the juniors section for girls. It'd be nice if their clearance areas had a nice variety of clothes as well... Not sure why I keep coming here really when I'm better off going to the Kohl's over in Yorba Linda. read more

Kohl's. Enigmatic. Can be pretty good at times, others not so much. Came here looking for a children's toy, specifically a slide. Wasn't out on the floor so I asked Mary if she could help which she gladly did. I showed her the photo of the item on my phone which I had taken at another store over the weekend. She went into the warehouse and found the item. Used my just activated Kohl's cash to pay for the item. My child is happy as can be with the slide. The toy department...looked like a category 5 blew through it so it rates only 1 star. Unbelievable how bad it looked. Even Walmart would be embarrassed. I'm sure it's due to the neighborhood clientele. The numerous Kohls that I have visited seem to have well trained staff and in this case Mary was 5 stars. read more

I enjoy shopping here a lot. Kohls in general is a great store with all the rewards and kohls cash. But this particular location I like. Most other Kohls are pretty dirty and smelly. Everytime I come to the BP location, it's always tidy, sales reps are always nice... especially at the register and Im always able to find what Im looking for. I usually park along the side of the building because the front is usually full. There are registers at each entrance. So Im usually in and out with my purchases! I had to return an item.... Or a couple, actually, and was never questioned why. It was a smooth, easy transaction for me. All in all, I love shopping here and will continue to recommend this specific location to people! read more

Utterly ridiculous this day and age the store has no signage telling you where to pick up online orders. Wondering around a few min I find an Amazon employee working at a booth and he tells me it's at customer service where they handle returns. Weird when I got there still nothing about online pick up. There I stood in line with 6 other people ahead of me, in an attempt to pick up an online purchase. Its 6pm on Christmas Eve. Kohls advertising they stay open late yet they dont staff enough people. Only 1 person working the service desk with a lady with a complicated return taking over 20 minutes. Finally I had to speak up for everyone there waiting for some stupid woman arguing about a return on xmas eve. I had things to do.. stockings to stuff, yet here I am waiting and waiting. Finally I explain I ordered online to avoid a line and to be quick and this is the opposite. Please get another employee over here to move things along. They had the nerve to make ugly faces and snicker because how dare I ask them to speed up things on xmas eve with one lady taking now over 25 minutes with her return. My order was ready in the back and already paid for. Why do I have to wait in the return line. ?? Straighten up Khols. Terrible management! Terrible signage! Snide employees. This store is not perfect, but overall, I have found the staff helpful. I think they have a bit of a management problem because they don't use their cashiers in a logical way. They wait until the lines are way too long to get more help. This is especially true during the holiday season. But, if you have a Kohl's credit card AND you use their coupons, you can get quality clothing at a very good price. They also have a lot of different sizes for men, big and small. I wear an XXL and have numerous shirt options here. My suggestion, shop the first day of the sale, early during the week if you can....it's gold. If you wait until the weekend, you lose out in more ways than one. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had at Kohl's. I went in to return a couple of things at customer service and right when the lady saw me, she immediately rolled her eyes at me. Some things weren't ringing up so she called the manager and the manager who was so rude and mean, she cancelled our transaction. She made another worker do it because she didn't believe that I had the right tags. She kept saying they were used, when clearly they were not. She even called someone in front of me to ask if they should dispose of the BRAND NEW CLOTHES that I did not need because they did not fit properly as I had hoped. I don't even mind the store credit but I never want to go back here again. Some one like this should not be a manager. I went to Kohl's in Buena Park store number #589 on Thursday night. It was around 8pm & there were big lines to pay. Without knowing that Gabe Alvarez is the General Manager, I asked him for some help in the Home department (as he's ringing up customers). He called for assistant right after. I was very upset since I had to wait for a long period of time (plus I was already in a bad mood). As I'm paying, Gabe took his time to ask me if I was helped & found everything I needed. He definitely changed my mood, especially around this time of year. Gabe also offered me a Kohl's credit card (he explained everything in detail) & I went ahead applied. I saved a lot of money thanks to Gabe's help. I'm very impressed how a General manager is ringing up customers, taking care of his customers, & helping every single of his associates with problems & questions etc... Thank you so much Gabe, you're an example of a great General manager and a leader. You set the standards high for Kohl's. Honestly, we need more people like Gabe Alvarez, thanks Kohl's for choosing wisely. read more

Lol... Kohls is a joke. They play price games, cannot train their employees to actually function at their job, and are absolutely rude. First off, I really don't shop here... I went one year to Black Friday, found a toy for my son, then spent 45 minutes in line to pay. I went to Toys R Us next, and found the exact toy for $10 less and vowed to never do it again. I should have kept my vow. I've have merchandise credit for years as I used to purchase online... I returned items and they gave me a merchandise credit because they said they couldn't find my order, but said it's like a gift card. I accepted because of their long lines and I just wanted to get out of there. Then I went to actually buy some $75 worth of toys and a gift card with this credit, only they told me I couldn't get a gift card... I talked to a manager 'Tammy' and she called me stupid, and was super condescending. She had absolutely no customer service training and was taunting me to call corporate on her because they didn't care. Obviously I left. Across the street I went to Walmart, and I have a newfound respect for that store. Not only did I find the exact same toys for $51, their customer service was WAY better than Kohls. Who knew. Thanks Tammy, you did me a favor. I found someone to purchase my credit from me, and paid $25 less than what I would have paid at Kohls. You didn't lose a customer, but you certainly made sure I never step foot in another Kohls again. read more

She then charged it another 3 times when I told her that she did so she gave me the worst attitude saying "no I took it off" lowered her head to get on eye level to me. Who is managing this place? Went here last night at 8, just to pick something up. I'm expecting the line is going to be long..... I didn't think they would only have one... you heard me ONE register open!!!! I walked through the whole store, which the line wrapped around the entire square of the walkway paths of the store. wonderful place has everything organized, the womans clothing is separated from the young ladies clothes. I shop here all the time i have a kohls charge which saves me alot of money plus i get deals when i say deals thats correct i get coupons in the ail saying i saved from 10%-30% off whatever i purchase. The employees here are very nice. The place is well kept and a couple people in specific impressed me. There was a manager, Brian that went out of his way to take care of my needs. There were other customers complaining because they weren't paying attention when he explained that he had been helping me first. It wasn't his fault but he was still super friendly to everyone and got everything taken care of for me as well as calling for back up so the other customers didn't have to wait. I really like his attitude and wish more people were like that. There was a sales guy who went out of his way to help me that day and a cashier that took a bit of rudeness from a couple that didn't know what they were talking about. I dont remember their names but they were all just so nice despite the attitudes they were given. I really admire that and it makes me want go back there. read more

Although this place may feel like you're saving money because of the mark downs. It's still really expensive. The workers are very nice and friendly which is a plus. But ever since I've signed up for a Kohl's card it's been nothing but trouble. It's supposed to be linked to my debit card which should pay it off asap as I was told but it's much more complicated than that. You have to go online and sign on/log on and make sure the setting is set to pay and sometimes you have to go on just to pay for it manually. You'll get charged with late fee's if you don't triple check step by step that you have payed off the items. Clothes here are nice but I prefer to go somewhere else to skip the headache. Rachel is extremely nice, caring, and professional. She was able to do what no one at Kohls online or at two stores could do. She went above and beyond to help me as a customer, and was patient and kind throughout the whole experience. Very disorganized store with poor selection. Staff here aren't so friendly nor willing to help customers. It's extremely difficult to find something decent and worth its price here. The items marked on clearance are the only pieces that are well worth it but it is, like I've mentioned, not easy to find something good. I prefer the Cypress location over this one. read more
