This has got to be the WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE at this locatio. Alysha claims shes one of the managers was EXTREMELY RUDE. The customer service had a HUGE line and one of the employees told her she needed help with customers and Alysha just walked by her. No help what so ever. I'm confused as to why a person like that is one of the managers. After your other employee feeling overwhelmed we saw another employee walk by and we said this poor girl needs help. Alysha came back and began helping but was extremely rude. Can you tell me why the front register employees can supply a coupon at check out but the so called manager cant? So this Kohl's is walking distance from our house so usually when we have amazon returns that are approved for Kohl's returns we come here. Usually when we come in - no matter the line it's usually pretty messy and the worker's carts are usually in the way of customers. This is very frustrating especially when I have a stroller so it's even harder to get through the store. There amazon return is awful. There's always a line of 8+ people - nobody has the amazon return ready before going to the register - they need a sign that explains this process as it's a longer wait time for customers. Also they only have one amazon return counter - last time I was there, there was two people in the back that couldn't help because everyone had amazon returns so we had to wait for the one counter. I talked to the manager about this and he honestly wasn't any help. He honestly just had excuses. How about you actually train staff to take a customer to the side and teach them the process instead of sitting at the register so no one can use it for the other 8+ people in line. I primarily use this Kohls for my Amazon returns which is really useful and convenient. They have some pretty decent prices on their clothing and a cool selection or random items that make good gifts in a pinch. The main downfall is usually staff is scarce on the floor and some of the clothing sections are messy and really picked over. Don't forget to use the Kohls cash when you return an Amazon package writhing a week too. read more

I guess this Kohl's doesn't want my money. I feel like Julia Roberts in pretty woman. They would not help me at the jewelry counter at all. An associate looked at us waiting, and didn't acknowledge us. My husband even said "can we get some help over here." She just looked over and did nothing. A few minutes later she said "are you guys doing ok?" And my husband responded with "no." She said "ok" then turned around and ignored us some more. Wow great job. It was around 6:00pm December 30, 2018. Incase a store manager is reading this and wants to train its employees. Last time I was here to return a necklace that a stone fell out of the day I bought it, I went to customer service to return it and they sent me to the jewelry counter to do the return. On the receipt it specifically states that for every $50. that you purchase you get $10 in Kohl's cash so based on this information I should get $20 in Kohl's cash, correct? Kohl's on Yorba Linda refused to honor this and said it only applies toward the subtotal of your purchase. There is nowhere on the receipt that states that. And now the manager, Tiffany, wants me to go to the website because it's on there. But I'm not on the website - I'm in the store. Who reads the "fine print". This is false advertising! My only problem with Kohl's is it seems like they mark their items high on purchase, then always have a sale, then always have coupon for 15%-30% off. Kohl's cash is a nice promotion when on the promoted, but they Kohl's Cash are limited to certain dates. Doesn't help if you don't really need anything during that time frame. For the occasional shopper, this doesn't really help. With all that out of the way, they aren't quite Macy's, but a few steps ahead of Target or WalMart. For the most part, this store is fairly clean and well organized. I've found their cashier to be friendly and I've seen supervisors/managers pitch in to help make lines move quicker. read more

I use Kohl's mainly to do Amazon returns, for just returning Amazon items they are great easy efficient and pleasant to deal with. As a store they are horrible. When you return something from Amazon, they give you a coupon. Obviously they want you to stay in the store and spend some money, smart tactic and not one I mind. The problem comes when you try to use the coupon. Today my kids and I grabbed a lavender growing kit and figured why not with the 25% off coupon. Then at the register I was told that this was a "premium item" and the coupon could not be used with premium items. There's no indication on the item or the pricing for the item that shows it is a premium item. How would I know as a customer what is and isn't a premium item? It just seems silly to offer a coupon and then not let you use it. I will go back in order to use them for Amazon returns since the process is simple but I won't be buying anything here soon. read more

I have been coming to the Kohl's for several years as it is located about 10 mins from my home. I frequent this Kohl's because of the selection and value that it offers. I have been a Kohl's MVC for last 3 years and I shop here at least 3-4 times a month for either myself or my son. I have never had any problems at this store, however on Saturday 7/13/19 I went shopping here with my mom and when walking about of the store a mexican loss prevention man stopped me and my mom. He asked let us know we needed to go to his office and answer his questions. I said" I think you are making a mistake don't you want to see our receipt?" And he said no you need to come with me and answer my questions. The office was all the way at the end of the store at which point some other regular clothed Hispanic guy with no identification popped behind me which seemed sketch, however a female employee also came into the back. It being summer and very hot, both me and my mom were wearing very short sun dresses and obviously there was no where to hide stolen merchandise as our bags were also small. The guy said in the clothing that was put back on the racks, had ripped off tags from other items and we needed to let him know where it was. At this point me and my mom were both livid, because they refused to look inside the Kohl's bag or admit that they were completely out of line once realizing that there was no where the 'missing items' could have been. They refused to look inside our purses, Kohl's bag/ receipt. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE: when we requested to speak to store management/ I believe his name is Christian. He was completely condescending, offered no explanation of apology, and was still looking at us like we stole something. I have seen cops called to this Kohl's often while shopping here for actual thefts, and to be completely harassed and a scene made through the store for no reason is absolutely inappropriate. I asked them to show me where we were seen on camera putting something in our bag as it was clear on the camera that what we walked in with to the fitting rooms came back out. I understand mistakes can be made in this type of prevention work, but to have no factual basis to detain a customer and them not even offer an apology is beyond comprehension. I feel like this Kohl's always needs straightening. Even when I went the other day at opening, the piles of clothes weren't folded everywhere. There was also a cleaning lady on her cell phone instead of doing her job, so that was a little off-putting. Most of the cashiers I have interacted with are polite and kind and help me out when I can't remember where my coupons are on my app! I have also returned several things here with ease, once I found where to do it! It is tucked back in the back left corner of the store. Kohls is one of my favorite stores. I feel as you can always find what you need here. I highly suggest signing up for their kohls card if you have not already! For this particular store, I would echo others comments in saying the staff if always helpful and friendly! I never have an issue and if busy, the lines move very quickly. When the cashier ask how I am doing I feel as they actually care. I would say they can continue to improve selection of certain items, really around shoes. It seems they never have my size. Supposedly they said they only had one computer for Amazon. So instead of using there brain & taking 1 person from each line 1 at a time they were taking all Amazon line. Kohl's sign says Returns are Easy..but it should exchanges are NOT EASY! Went in to quickly exchange a dress that was a tad too tight for one that fit and also get a necklace replaced that tarnished in one week. It took me two and half hours..yes you read that correctly to go thru a series of hoops to try to exchange my dress and return the necklace, as I got incorrect information from the first clerk in returns, first he told me I could exchange the dress for any other dress in the store for the same original price, then he said that was wrong, then he told me that since the dress I bought was now on clearance,(wasn't when I bought it) I had to find a dress for the same original price on the clearance racks. This made no sense to me and I told him that, but I said I would try. I looked at all of the clearance racks in the store and finally found one dress that fit that was the same original price. He said the same thing about the necklace, I found the original necklace. An hour later, triumphantly I returned to the customer service desk with a dress and necklace in hand. I patiently waited in the customer service line again. This time a very nice young lady helped me (guess the guy was on break) She explained to me that I was told incorrect information and that I could not exchange the clearance dress for my dress. She did exchange the necklace though. She called one manager and then another, trying to get some type of override for me to exchange the dress, but they said no..now I am told that I would have to find a dress by the same designer for the same original price to exchange the dress. I told them that did not make any sense to me, but they said that was Kohl's policy and my only other choice was to return the dress and get a refund, and buy the other dress, but then I would lose my discount that I paid and it would cost me $7 more for a dress the same price. What this is crazy, but I was determined to get another dress that fit me. So again, I spent another hour trying to find a dress that fit from the same designer at the same price. I finally found one..again I triumphantly returned to the customer service counter, waited in line again. The nice girl was there again, but she said that her register was not in use and that the first boy that waited on me, would be waiting on me again and he had been corrected on their return policy. Success the dress exchanged worked, but not before the boy grilled me about the necklace exchange ( he acted like I stole it) and he confirmed with the nice girl that she did the exchange. He looked taller and I asked him if he was the one that waited on me before and he said yes. I told him that I spend an hour looking for a dress because of the incorrect information that he gave me. He said nothing and didn't even apologize. I was by then exhausted and my feet were killing me from walking all over in high heels, so I had my shoes in hand. A chair was there so I sat down while he did the return. A manager was watching the whole time and when the clerk was almost done, the manager came over to me and gently tapped my shoulder. I thought he was going to apologize for all the problems I had simply exchanging a dress, but instead he asked me to put my shoes back on, because they had sharp needles and pins all over the floor and he didn't want me to hurt my feet. I didn't see any pins and needles, but I thought this was another crazy comment to a crazy insane experience at Kohls in Fullerton. I get some great deals at Kohls, but returns and exchanges can be a real pain, and with all their gimmicks like Kohl's cash and discounts, returns and exchanges can get real complicated..real fast..my advice, try any clothes on and make sure they fit before you leave the store. Thanks to the nice girl who tried her best to help me, I could tell she thought it made no sense that I had to get a dress by the same designer for the same price. I found several dresses the same price in the beginning that I liked and wanted to exchange but they said no. Kohl's needs to change their return and exchange policies to make them consistent with other mainstream retailers..if it is the same price they exchange it. They could also train their customer service counter staff better and tell them to apologize when they give a customer wrong information and waste their time. Yes, one last comment, I was so tired from my day already, that I tried to sit down on a bench and it gave way and I fell on the floor and hurt my knee and leg. Another nice girl that worked there ran over to me and helped me up off the floor and asked if I was ok. That was at the beginning of my two and half hour trek..so the entire time, I was limping around because my knee and side hurt where I fell. I am not in to suing companies or people. so I just took it in stride. The bright side..I finally got a dress that fit and I found a few other deals as well. Persistent does pay off. read more

Store related: GOOD LUCK trying to find anything. This place is a hot mess. Hangers almost never match the actual size. Clothes end up in the wrong spots, so you have to pay extra close attention to the signs. The clothing doesn't even mismatch close to the original. Grab a size 14 and an 8 is on the hanger. Ridiculous. Customer service related: This store has terrible customer service. I went to return something and also returned the coupon I was given for $10 off. The employee at customer service gave me back the coupon and said I didn't have to return it. I went to the Kohl's closer to my home to purchase something and when I got up to the register I was not allowed to use it since I had returned the item. I explained I had been given back the coupon, but apparently that does not matter. I called the Fullerton location to let them know what happened and that I was very displeased. The employee just said, "Sorry about that. Have a good night." I immediately asked to speak to a manager because that is unacceptable and his tone held not even an ounce of fake sympathy let alone real sympathy over my frustrations. I explained this to the manager and said that is ridiculous. That as a customer I have a right to explain what happened due to their error and failure to adhere to proper procedure. It's no lie, I'm a huge fan of Kohl's. And while I've been to several in the Brea area, I think this one still is my favorite. It's usually pretty crowded, but the lines move pretty quick. And for whatever reason, I've just had better luck finding things that I love at this store. I go there everytime I'm in town and it's close to where I stay, so it's a win-win :). I read another review about Kohl's being pretty cookie cutter and while that's true in some instances, I dont' completely agree. Yes, they all sell the same brands and usually carry the same stock. But I'm telling ya, after looking for something specific that came from Kohl's, I went to several stores and all of their stock was different. In San Jose, the items they carry are different from even Palo Alto or stores close like that. So, yes, it's a chain, but no, you won't always find all the same stuff at all the different stores. I came into this Kohls store recently to try out this brand new Amazon return service. There, I had to deal with two 20-something year old bitches who have absolutely NO professionalism or respect for their customers. First, the girl doing my returns was obviously annoyed by the fact that she had to take my returns. I was quite clearly an incredible inconvenience to her and her very busy and important retail job at Kohls. She would ask a question and the answer would invoke a series of eyerolls and frowns. Her supervisor was no better. At some point, she came over to help the other girl with the returns and acted like even more of an A-hole. She snapped at me about the size of the QR Code on my phone, instead of just asking me to make it smaller like a normal human being would. Then she demanded that I hold my phone in an uncomfortably weird angle (which was VERY painful due to my tendinitis) so that her employee could scan the code more easily. Under normal circumstances, I would have said something (and there were a few choice words certainly running through my head, including a little 4-letter C-word). But I got so much attitude from these girls that I left the store almost in tears. I was already having a horrible day because of some things happening in my personal life, and these stupid, snotty 20 year olds made my day even worse. I was really excited about trying out this new service because everyone has told me that it's so easy and convenient. I have always dropped my returns off at The UPS Store, and I loved it. I have never had an issue with them. But I decided to try it out, because it is nice that you don't have to package your items or print out any labels. Unfortunately, this was my first experience with it. I have probably been shopping at Kohls since these girls were in grade school. If this is the level of service I'm to expect, I'll never shop at Kohls again. I will, however, endure the misery of dealing with the bitches in customer service again just so I can annoy the hell out of them with all of my returns. I have Prime and I do a lot of ordering on Amazon. I also do a LOT of returns. Heck, I may even order things just so I can pop in for a returns visit! See you ladies soon! read more

I am fed up with my very first visit to your store. It is out of my way so I never went to your store before. I saw your TV ad about Father's Day specials and decided to go. Well I wasted over an hour of my time and a gallon of gas in 101* heat. I got to the store at about 10:45 AM on Father's Day Sunday. I had $150 in my pocket. I needed new jeans and a few shirts. I went to the men's dept and looked around. I could not find what I wanted so I looked for help. NO BODY!!! I did find a girl, in the shoe dept, who tried to page me some help but NO ONE WAS SCHEDULED for Sunday at the time. She was as helpful as she could be but it was not her department. I asked for the store manager. I was fed-up by now. It was a Fathers Day sale and no one to work such a huge department. She said he/she was away at lunch. It was only 11:30 in the AM and this person was already at lunch? Seems kind of odd she just spoke with him/her a few minutes earlier about one of my questions. The question could not be answered and he/she probably told her to get rid of me and he/she "was out to lunch" I just came from yelp and it seems the whole world feels the same way I do. they all have their story but it points the same way. I used to love this store. As time went off the staff is not helpful and their managers are even worse. Each dept is messy and not organized. I was looking at these pants that was supposed to be on sale, it listed the brand and everything but they didn't come up on sale. So I asked a manager about this she like no they aren't sorry. But there was over 10 of them on the rack. She still wouldn't let me have them for the sale price. Then I couldn't believe what she said next, she blamed it on customers just putting there after trying them on. This Placentia location took over an old Mervyns property that was unused entirely. Unfortunately its a very small store as far as most Kohl's go. They dont have very much clearance stuff which is a huge disappointment to someone like me, but they have a decent selection of their standard fare. I like the location but they just dont have the stuff that you want when you are on the prowl for great cheap sales prices. But the store is kept clean, tidy, organized, and it works well even if it is a bit small. Check it out when you are in the neighborhood. read more

I came in today looking for some men's dress shirts that Kohl's discontinued making, but there were a few around the store and I was trying to find a specific color. The Fullerton location didn't have what I was looking for, unfortunately. Fortunately, however, the staff here is really friendly and helpful. Today Jocelyn helped me out immensely by taking the time to call another store- she sat on the phone for an amount of time that would make normal people roll their eyes or tap their finger impatiently. Not her! In the end another store had what I needed, information not reflected in Kohl's web app, and I now have the shirts I was desperately looking for!
