Found a couple casual tops that would go well with my jeans, and in the navy color that I had a hard time finding one that I actually like, for several years. The store isn't very big but has a lot of merchandise so it is a bit cramped. But they keep everything well organized In my last few visits recently, the lines were always long and moved so slowly, it felt like they weren't moving at all. read more

Kohls is the best hot mess of a department store there is.. not necessarily a bad thing... it has so much different stuff it's kinda amazing. The store is always a bit messy as they have coupons and sales that make people go nuts.. the customers leave merchandise everywhere. Sales are going on everyday so you gotta wonder if it's really a sale. I do know that the 40% off coupon is great and makes things affordable.. just join their mailing list and you Will get the coupon right to your phone. Their kitchen gadget area is my favorite part of the store with pretty good prices for most things. read more

It's a nice store. They changed their check out area which makes it a bit more confusing for the customers. It's one queue now. They have two self checkout stations among the employee services checkout stations. But if the first person in line wants to wait for an employee, and that customer does not let the person behind them know, then the self checkout is not being used. It's inefficient and some customers were getting frustrated by the lack of communication. Perhaps they should have a separate line for self-checkout. read more

I love returning my Amazon purchases at this Kohl's store. I drive past the Costco store next door, watching the hundreds of people jockey for a parking spot, and go into the Kohl's parking lot, built for hundreds of cars, and there's always lots and lots of spaces close to the front of the store. A pleasure. I walk in, and there are often 20 or 25 people calmly looking around, and then am immediately directed to the large return area, marked by lots of signage. The attendant is always happy to help me, and I'm in and out of the store in under ten minutes, maximum. One time I did linger a bit to look at some shoes, but other than that, I've never purchased anything here. But the store is huge, well lit and very clean. read more

Kohl's isn't my go-to retail destination by any stretch of the imagination, but sometimes when I need clothes they get the job done AOK. Tip: The type of clothes you can get here are the ones you'd want to grab for a trip when you need something fast, and don't need something with really high quality. This is definitely one of the worst places you could shop hands down. They play nothing but mind games they'll give you a coupon but then you can't use it for days and can't use it on most items but then they'll say somethings on sale but only if you use your Kohl's card and keep in mind everything is 10 to 20% higher than where you could shop online. We we're headed to Costco when out of nowhere my wife said she had to stop at kohls. I wasn't happy but agreed, to keep the peace. I haven't been in Kohls in probably over a year. She was looking for a couple small entry rugs that had to be a certain size and grey or black. I was impressed as we entered the clean well lit store and we were greeted by a couple smiling friendly employees. We went right to the home section and sure enough Kohls had a large selection of the small special rugs. The right color and size at a great price that included a 20% discount I was impressed. We looked around the store, every department was well stocked with marked discounts the store was really super clean. We headed back up to check out when we were stopped by a long line of customers waiting in line to check out. We didn't wait long before two employees came up and opened up registers. They have a separate line for returns vs regular sales. So if you want to return something and find something else you want to buy, they make you line up in 2 separate long lines. Wasted an hr here standing in line. Also, my online order receipt was not printed boldly so their machine could not read it. This is not the customer fault, but they regarded it as so. They basically treated it like I had no receipt and that I was the one at fault. Finally, there was a problem with my online order as one of the items did not arrive. They basically said they can't do anything since they're not affiliated with Kohls.com. Really? Last time I checked, Kohls is Kohls.com. All in all, very inconvenient. I needed 3 transactions: return, buy, and refund an item that did not arrive. I had to do all 3 separately. Total waste of consumer time. I see why Kohls is dying. read more

Here's the thing about Kohls... I almost always find something I want here. Cute basic shirt, cute dress, cute sunglasses, cute handbag, cute candle, cute gift for someone... That being said, I almost never leave the store with anything because the line is always beyond slow and is almost always super long. I end up leaving empty handed 99% of the time. It is not because I am a department supervisor and I work there I do say so but because the Laguna Niguel store is one of the cleanest, well-merchandised, has the best selections, and the prices are affordable especially when offers and epic deals. After to going here on and off for 10 years+ this place sold its soul to Sephora. Lmao. The new check out line is a worse version of Marshals now and understaffed, SLOW. I don't know who thought of doing returns at the same registers for modern retail (used to work it) but this has killed the flow. AND the people back there who process Amazon returns (the place where it used to be separate) seem stressed and one lady a few days ago was strait rude. So I won't be back. I went in to return an Amazon on June 30th at around 7:00 pm. I needed to park in the Handicap Parking. When entering the store there was an Amazon pointing toward customer service where it use to be. At the other entrance there was another sign pointing towards customer service. So I had to walk down there and another sign says Amazon Return back in Mens Department after 5:30. It's hard for me to walk with my scoliosis and why I park in the handicap parking. So I get to the Casher/Amazon by the mens department and there is 10 deep waiting and one person taking care of customers. I asked to speak to the manager and that was a waste of time also, asking why they have the signs in both entrances pointing to customer service. I guess it takes some brains to move the signs and point them in the right direction. read more

A lot of the low reviews seem spiteful and petty. I'm a bit surprised since I normally just come to do Amazon returns and occasionally shop for clothes. I don't bring drama, so there's usually no drama. In fact, I left a pair of sunglasses in the dressing room the other night. Came back the next day to check, and a staff member (Rena or Sena...sorry, can't remember the name) asked if I needed help. I explained what happened, and she called customer service for me right away. Turns out customer service did indeed have my sunglasses (they were pricey Maui Jims, so I was really happy). Some of the stuff can be had for cheaper elsewhere (like Hanes), but I've always been happy with the clothing brands specific to Kohl's. And I've never had issues with service/staff. The news says KOHLS is losing customer sales and, sadly, I get it. I experienced very disappointing customer service at the Laguna Niguel, CA store. BTW - if you have a Gift Receipt from KOHLS, you have 180 days to return your gift, even though if, like me, your receipt states that nowhere ON your receipt. Also, I was one day late so that was that. (The advice the first rep gave me was: regift it. Uh, what?? The second rep was exasperated and said the return info was on the back of receipt. I asked where. Oops, as she discovered it was nowhere to be found. Sigh. At which point she advised me to go online and read the return policy. Uh, what?) All of this displays a failing culture at Kohls. Ouch. Walking away my husband said, "Our beloved KOHLS, it's going to go out." Yep. Guess I haven't missed it these 180+1 days. read more

I hate leaving bad reviews for places. I really do not like it. I understand how hard businesses work to try to bring in customers and I'm sure everyone for the most part is doing their best. But I have to be honest about this location. It is filthy every time I walk in. It does not feel very clean and it makes me a little uncomfortable even going inside I typically shop with my daughter and she is only 13 years old and I hate to make her go inside a store that is not clean and doesn't feel very safe. This is probably my favorite Kohls in the area between RSM, Irvine, and Laguna Niguel. This store seems to have friendlier employees, and more items that I like. The store is clean, and they have a good selection of sizes on most Juniors and Womens clothing. Somehow I find the best items in Juniors, so that is generally where I shop. Parking is plenty and they open early, especially on weekends which is awesome! read more

My mom and i went to kohls and had a pretty good experienceat first. The employee in sephora was so sweet helping us out with perfumes even when we were just looking and weren't thinking of buying one. Everything was going good until we got to the cashier. Azam was very rude to both my mom and i. Azam had asked us if we wanted to get a kohls card and i said "no thank you". Azam kept trying to get me or my mom to get one (i get that's their job), but i explained to her i don't really shop at kohls and my dad already has one. I didn't have a problem with her doing her job i understand however my problem was when I kept saying "no thank you im okay" Azam rolled her eyes at me and started to be rude to both of us. After that she asked if I had a rewards phone number and i said "no" she said "what are you doing ?" while laughing. Once she got to my mom she didn't say hi to her or speak to her. When giving her change she just threw it on the counter. I understand as a retail employee it is your job to get people to sign up for a credit card or rewards number. Located in a major shopping area close to Costco and Walmart...the location is great when you want to get a lot done in one day. There is plenty of parking too! The staff is friendly when you can find someone to help you. Sometimes you have to seek out for help. Kohl's is a great place that has great deals! Be sure to use Kohl's cash for even better savings!
